The movie was predictable and dull from beginning to end. Overhyped crap.

The moment I saw that villain's skyscraper office, I knew that the last fight was gonna happen there.

The protagonists had no challenges at all. All their opponents were humans- mortal humans. It would have been mad if they fought against immortals.

I see, it doesn't go with the way u want it.

I also got few prediction right while watching it - I knew the girl would return before she get to her family and I also knew the one buried in iron cage underneath the ocean would return as well.
What I don't know is how it would happen and that is where the suspense and unpredictability came in.

For the record, I checked Andy's real name on Google and it shows they got the story from the novel/drama written by one French writer in the 17th century (1667). So obviously it's not a thing of immortal vs immortal. Is there even any fun in that gan.

Why didn't they mk the wonder woman fight against immortals like her. No fun in that.

1. The Old Guard is a superhero movie (you said it is not).
a. The movie is based on a comic book
b. It features heroes who have superpowers (healing/regeneration)

2. The sequel is a bad thing if you didnt get the first one right.

3. The immortals are not ordinary soldiers. They have had 1,000s of years of training. They are ultimate experienced soldiers

4. Having a good villain or challenge is necessary, irrespective of movie genre. Even in dramas or horror or romance. I dont need immortals to be like Avengers but to have the necessary elements

You are now arguing off-point. No one is saying that they should have done everything in one movie.

I also like how you dodged the years of experience of the immortals in combat. The villain's mercenaries were no match for the immortals.

Even if they couldn't do immortal vs immortal fights in the first movie, they could have given the good guys more challenges.

For instance, the villain could have been more competent (or smart) and carried the immortal hostages to a secure location with mercenaries that have armour piercing rounds that would incapacitate the immortals.

Or somewhere with quicksand traps to incapacitate the immortals.

Maybe the immortals would then have to resort to kamikaze piloting or suicide strategies to win the final battle.

See? I'm already writing a better, more creative film. Suck my b*** kazeem

Oh....so you prefer that the villain should keep the captured immortals in an office building that is not secure in the middle of the city, and with mercenaries equipped with normal guns.

Note that the building was in the middle of the city, surrounded by other tall buildings. So many places for snipers and paragliding.
