I saw this update below on the Irish embassy's website, so it seems we are not sure if applications will continue anytime soon. https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/nigeria/our-services/visas/visas-for-ireland/ ICaSNg:

niyogeol: Will appreciate any leads you'd have on renting room space by September-ending. The 14-days self-isolation directive upon arrival is still quite ambiguous. Your travel, arrival and GNIB (now IRP) registration tips are still noteworthy. September folks, here it is https://www.nairaland.com/post/70700626 Thanks for this too. Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by niyogeol(m): 7:47am On Jul 17, 2020 |
Alday:The pandemic has disrupted things from normal as we all know. So a place to isolate might not be that easy given that it is somewhat difficult to get a place when you are not in the country. The people here don't joke with their money like we naija people too. An alternative could be staying in one of those hostels for the duration of self isolation. This won't come cheap. Another way is to put up your request on this space and watch if any naija person who uses this site and has a room to rent will reach out to you. Also, avail yourself of rent.ie, daft.ie, the latter is more suitable for vacancies. Although you might not be able to access the sites with naija IP. So if you know away to use VPN, it will be fine. |

Thanks. The short-stay hostels on bookingdotcom are quite handy. Rent and daft works well here and I'd keep tabs on them. niyogeol: |

Godblesmyhustle: Do you mean medical insurance? |
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Alday: 9:12pm On Jul 18, 2020 |
Google 'StudyandProtect Student Medicover Standard' It will cost about €150 or so for 1 year coverage policy starting from your resumption date. Use a valid email address as your policy statement and cover summary will be sent to your mailbox after a successful card payment (can still be reprinted from the portal). Print the cover summary as evidence of health insurance cover for your application. Godblesmyhustle: |
