Hey House, a standard SOP should be how many pages? And what are the ingredients expected to be there. Should i just put the normal; I'm the 1st in a family of six, my father is an Engineer and he likes Okra soup and mushroom a lot. I dislike Vegetables and snail |

Ifesinachi22: Don't put the normal u intend to put there, At most 5-6 pages, but there are 2-3 pages SOP, it all depends in the important & spot-on content u wrote. Check my post on Page 1 on Guidelines on How to write an SOP (Statement of Purpose) u will get some tips and ingredients there. There are lots of SOP samples/template online, google one and get ideas/insight from there on how to write yours. Do Avoid Copy and Paste Note: Avoid Plagiarism to the Barest-Minimum and be original when writing ur SOP After that , u can contact a trusted Guru in-house to vet & proof-read ur SOP All da best!!!! |

I just concluded 6 mth training in a chef sch, I also just opened a company registered with CAC for my chef sch and other things like poultry I want to apply with the kids cuz dnt want to leave them alone, but I heard leaving them behind can be like home ties or take the youngest one. If I leave them, their father can come US to pick them or rather stay until they can visit me Pls the house advice on this, and with my company and self sponsorship with 2 landed property in my name, what are the others things that Can guarantee financial stability. Thank u so much. |

Please house advice me please. I'm writing my SOP presently. Meanwhile, I have a HND in Dental Therapy and want to study Dentistry in Canada. The Dental schools i wrote to said i should take a Pre Dentistry degree in the sciences to have a sound Science background before Dental school. I applied for a Pre Dental Associate Degree in Biology and was accepted. Coming to the SOP. Which degree I'm going to write on? The biology I'm going for or the Dental school which is my speciality that I'm going to transfer my credits to? Please answers are needed urgently. God bless us all 1 Like |

sewenswepzy: Evaluate your grade on WES. 4.5 of 7.0 is above 3.0/4.0 and you will meet minimum admission requirement of many schools in Canada |

Tarry:
This statement is false. 3/4 is 75%. While 4.5/7 is 64% |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by orlahtohbadt(m): 8:42am On Jul 17, 2020 |
chichi93:I'm sorry but that is not how it is done. A WES evaluation of a third class degree with CGPA of 2.36/5 gave 2.74/4. It's not by percentage. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by chichi93(f): 9:06am On Jul 17, 2020 |
orlahtohbadt: Well I can’t say for sure how it’s calculated but 4.5 on a scale of 7 is definitely less than 3 on a scale of 4 not more than 3. It is 2.5 out of 4 precisely. 1 Like

chichi93:WES is quite different. It is done course by course, so the person inputs each course with his grade for evaluation and not the final CGPA for evaluation. 3 Likes |

Sleekigboguy:U are not the one to draft an AFFIDAVIT of Support, it's a Court that will do that for u at a particular price, do visit a Court in your state/area. If you are in Lagos and u want to get an Affidavit of Support , Check my Post on Page 111 in the link below https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/110 For Letter of Sponsorship Sample (Brother In-law), check my post on Page 105 Find attached a Letter of Sponsorship Sample (Father) .docx format Source : Canada Study Visa Thread (Part 15) Note : Avoid Plagiarism to the barest-minimum All da best!!!! 2 Likes |

Ifesinachi22: Have you been accepted into the dental school, from your post, No you haven't so your sop should be on biology. Try to link dentistry with biology to prove that there's a reason why you are starting with biology before proceeding to dental school. also let the VO know about the prerequisites of doing dentistry which is why u are going for the biology course. It will end in praise 2 Likes |

Ifesinachi22: Hello Ifesinachi22, Your passion should be based on the Dental course. There should be a buildup from the Pre-dental stage using the supporting advice from the school as an evident reference based. Detail out the principal advantages associated with the Pre-dental course and its impact towards the main course. The introduction of the Pre-D. course should be direct and succint. It should be used as a serving or linking bridge to the main purpose of your study. Thereafter, outline the required details about your study plan and other benefits of your proposed study. Avoid too long of a sentence and base your explanations only on interesting facts that are not trifling to your situation and/or application. The first step to begin with is RESEARCHING. koonleh: Lemme be honest with you ... diploma Thats a problem.. You might get denied with the reason "purpose of visit". The VO will wonder why arr you going for a diploma when you have BSC or HND (where is the progression there). why not a PGD. I would advise you go for a PGD in culinary management. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Tarry(m): 1:38pm On Jul 17, 2020 |

That is not how it is calculated. Go to WES website they have a free tool to help you do the conversion. 4.5/7 is above 3.0/4 |

Anon123: thank you for ur reply, i appreciate. i was on the opinion that since this is an just for my career, perhaps they dont have a pgd in culinary management. i understnd your point, but this is my career progression (my thought.) although i also got an offer for 1 year graduate certificate in hospitality and tourism, which has limited relation to my career, should i go for this? |
