This cow looks very much like a Holstein- a breed of cattle which originated in Northern Europe[Netherlands and Germany]. Mainly Germany. If it is really a Holstein, then it's pretty much good for only one thing- high milk yield. Holsteins produce large quantities of milk and as such are highly favoured by commercial dairy farmers. But I am not so sure so I will leave the rest to the agricultural experts in the house. But I am almost 90% certain that the cow in the photograph is a Holstein.
