In other words you just bought the car right? Or you changed tyers just immediately after the lockdown was lifted right? Your car has not been in rental all these years abi?

A kettle calling a pot black.

You too kindly explain to us how your driver on only ocar was getting by in paying you 35k weekly in this period up till today you've never come up with any reasonable answer.

People are so easy to come on a masquerade forum to talk cheap where as they have skeletons in their closest.

A car that has been on ehailing rental for over 1year at 35k and you still renting it out for same amount or a little less yet you still shouting.

Oga you're wicked. Yes I said so.

Report my post for all I care.

And you know what you're also doing, you're encouraging the good partners owners collecting less than what you're collecting to shift grounds with their drivers thereby removing food from people's mouths.

Oga fear God ooh!

Stop taking advantage of the joblessnessbin the country to extort and enslave people because of your selfishness and greed.

Izzuo has given the beat advice, if you can't rent out at a reasonable amount simple stay away from the business for the now. Or better still you self park your car or drive all of your cars by your self.

Oga!! I am not strictly into e hailing, I have logistics jobs I run for some companies. If you recall, I often post here requesting for cars or minivans.

Pls tell me, since after the lockdown, how much have you spent on your car for maintenance and if you haven't can you honesty say your car doesn't have any issues you are managing?

You can insult all you want bruv but it's what it is- business.Companies are downsizing due to the present economic situation and some even closing up, are those ones evil too. Oga!! This life Noh balance since time of Adam and Eve.

All you need do is explain to us how you think 15k weekly can work for a car owner considering, maintenance, renewal of papers and any unforeseen risks like accidents, govt impounding the car etc

For etag users the toll fee in N270 for Ikoyi link why N180 for Lekki epe.

Felicity0001:

It is what It is. I've warn us about using the ikoyi link bridge b4 and how using the etag or any of the toll gates don't count, reason I stopped using that link bridge and using my tag as well because you won't be issued a receipt.

Dont be disappointed with the response from uber it's a normal thing and due process to take.

You don't expect your office to pay for any expenses that has no receipt.

Another thing is, the lekki-epe toll gate charges N230 or there about while the Ikoyi link toll charges N335 or so where as the rider pays N200 and N300 respectively. Meaning you're looking 2-3 toll pass in every N5000 recharge you do.

What then is the need for using an etag or ecard when one is paying commission from his pocket.

I will center at the bolded.

First, I will only buy a car for ehailing at this time if I'm to drive it myself

Secondly, I won't invest right now because I don't have the conscience or won't want to be tempted to be mean and to be wicked to ask for an unrealistic and outrageous fee at this time.

Lastly, if the car is over a year old off course I will accept my faith and make sure I get a steady delivery. The pandemic is nobody's fault so why make it look like its the drivers fault so he must rent at the same amount he's been rental anti pandemic bearing in mind this car has been rented at above 25k for the past 1year?

Its never gonna be like that for ever after all.

Pls go back to my post u initially quoted of the bolded wasn't what I advised the person on. I advised him not to invest for now unless he would take 15-20k weekly on his investment

I will respond to the bolded.

Like you all kniw I'm very vocal, doggy, honest and above all have the fear of God forget my jokes I'm also a very serious minded person and I do what ever I say.

You all know I've been on rental since I sold my car, so far so good its my 2nd rental and my 3rd car on the platform.

I started with both Bolt and Uber and before the lockdown I do strictly Uber while I use Bolt to complement for driving hour on Uber and to set destination back home when I'm far away from home.

Now, maintenance with my P.car then was veey high due to the fact the car was already old, milage was about 132k when I got it 9ja use V6 EOD and b4 things went south that I started using it for ehailing milage was around 290k because I used to travel a lot. I finally sold car at about 330km mileage.

My First rental lasted just 2 weeks due to poor state of the car, from transmission issue to power steering and to some other things. Owner blocked me on my way out one morning and collected her car. I'd to moove on. Rent was 25k.

Then I got my current partner right here on this thread and was patient for about 3-4 months for them to get car ready and fit. I think i started my curent contract last week in January, 2020.

Rentage is at 25k till the lock down and ive been doing less than half that value since after the lock down.

Now this bring us to your question. How many times have I done major repairs on the car since I started using it or aince after the lock down.

Unfortunately, i don't think I'm in a good position to answer that on a public domain like this since I'm not responsible for maintainance but dont mistake this for I don't care attitude because I signed a contract that i wont wreck the car simply because I'm not responsible for repairs and maintainance, but all i can say is I don't visit mechanic often like I used to with my P.car. though we have changed 2tyers about a month ago.

Now, the main issue before us right now is beyond our control, every business is running at a lost right now so dont think the transportation sector will be exempted ok.

Let's all focus on surviving right now and by the time we survive, then we can then think of having our lives back.

So its not about profit eight now but about staying afloat.

It's alright.

I get you now but to me 15-20k for a family man is still unrealistic.

Any one that wants to invest on the uber business at this point in time should be ready to count his losses, to me the only business that suits this times is that keropu abi na small doctor them dey call am. Those guys are the currdng efcc now cashing like kilode.

Don't say I didnt work some days oooh... Even b4 d pandemic I still don't work everyday, my mentality is once I have my rental money I can decide to close shop.

Then on the trip she started telling me to switch lanes every second, telling me to pass one-way cos of traffic. Shouting and ranting on my head. Never picked a more demented person in my life.

Unfortunately, low rated riders don't have issue getting ride here unlike advanced climes.

The thing is: Uber don cast. Only drivers on Bolt can smile for now. And if you have issues with Bolt how will that be possible? I worked 3 days this week and earned 11k plus aside fuel money o. I just can't but pity those still doing this work on full time without having any other means of surviving and use only UBER!

Hello bosses, I want to start an Uber business in Lagos. I already have a driver in mind. Please what is the current average weekly delivery in Lagos. I don't want give my driver an amount that would leave him with nothing at the end of the week or where he will be struggling to pay and I also want to avoid a situation where I am being shortchanged.

Thank you all in advance

My suggestion to you is wait when the business environment is better, say September or October unless you are giving out your car for ultristic reasons I believe when things get better you should hire it out to an experienced driver btw N30,000 and N35,000 but you should take absolute responsibility for all mechanical faults either major or minor.
My own advice

@Godfather10. Your last post was a bomb I must agree less.

Doing business in Nigeria and with Nigerians is like dinning with the devil himself, no matter how long your spoon is he will still get you because the devil ia crafty, cunning, deceitful, patiently wicked, corrupt, ungodly, name it.

It so sad!

Nigerians are the kind od rhe black race with all the good and evil attributes.
