let him get 05 to 07 Accord rather, leave 03 and 04 if you can due to gear issues.

for the Camry the 2.4 2azfe also has a factory defect, but if you can get a moderate mileage and do proper inspection fine. Also Camry and robbers/vandals are like bread and butter

Oooops!!! Money constraint on his side n he needs it as fast for reasons I cnt disclose here

Would advice him though

Thanks

Well, it is the V6 models of 2003/04 Accord that tend to have transmission problems. Certainly not the 4-banger.

Provided your friend buys a healthy 2003/04 Accord and pays attention to routine maintenance, the car should run forever.

Best wishes!

I use a EOD V6 and my transmission is fine. Just that when I am speeding car is vibrating. What is the cause?

What is making my Honda pilot 2003 blink the "Drive" light on the dashboard while I'm driving mostly while traveling

If I use it in city most it doesn't blink
But once it's good express like travelling ND I keep going for long then it starts blinking that D light on the dash board

It do reset if I off it at checkpoints for some minutes ND drive again but comes up after moving for some few miles again?

What could be the cause
The Engine and Gear was changed last year around this time

Most likely torn engine mounts. Inspect all engine mounts to find out which is torn.

That said, not 100% of the 03/04 V6 will develop transmission issues. But they remain the most reported for transmission failure from online North American records I have seen.

blinking D-light has to do with transmission fault. first step is to check the ATF whether it is guaged and color if clean or burnt.

You can then drain and refill the transmission if problem continues scan the vehicle to retrieve codes

a simple scan will reveal, but I would wager a transmission temp issue or a slip.

Good day everyone
please, I want you guys to advice me professionally.

I was driving on an highway (around 70km/hr) few days back. Engine car suddenly stops while on motion. I looked for a nearby mechanic who diagnosed and detected that the timing belt had torn with two cuts at different points.

He changed the belt (with the pulley proving so stubborn to remove but he used a panel to heat up the bolt).

Thereafter, engine started with unreasonable vibrations and too low ideal speed. I was not comfortable with the car afterwards.

I called my main mechanic to come inspect. He told me the timing is not correct. He said he ll reset it. I agreed and he took the car away.

He called back and told me that the valve bent, and one cylinder needs to be grounded. I told him to continue further with the repairs.

Later He called to tell me that the engine has become bad and I will need a new engine. He said he can't guarantee me the present engine anymore.

This is still a car I just drove back from Ibadan few days before this issue occurred.

What should I do? Should I get a new engine or look for a mechanic provably at oyingbo?

How much is the engine (genuine one)?
present car engine is four plugs and not v6

Car is Honda Accord 2002 (aka babyboy)

Please kindly help for good advice's so that I can take decisions.

Good morning . I have a major problem that mechanics can not figure out. My 2007 honda Pilot has a problem where it loses ALL electric power for like .5 seconds while driving. The radio POPS through the speaker and either shuts off and restarts or just shuts off. No Dash indicators of any kind. The engine also lurches at this time . The car subsequently moves fine .. Please gurus help me figure this out
Thank you

Sir, why are you speeding on a rough road?

You are breaking rule number 1 of Honda use in our environment... (Rule 1= Thou shall always drive patiently on rough roads; speed all you want on smooth roads).

To your question, your symptom is likely due to bad sway bar links. Check them out. Will need replacement if bad.

Hello all,

i drive a. 2k5 honda accord, ii αve a problem.

While i'm driving i notice dat after i slow down or wen i want ϯo re-accelerate sometimes, the engine vibrates (shakes) until i lift my foot off the throttle completely, bt wen i put my foot back on the throttle it moves normally.

i thought it was the spark plugs causing this, but i've changed the 4 plugs with new ones but it still does same.

a mechanic said it's probably from the fuel pump.

Any ideas wat it is
