u cant blame him, as a leader u cannot be everywhere or know what's happening everywhere. The problem is there are too many double agents and sabotagers amongst the rank and file.

U discuss a plan with an individual, immediately the discussion is concluded, next minute the fellow is making a call to the enemy.

Apart from that another angle is that these bandits and terrorists are from the communities, they have friends and relatives in there. The problem is that they are sympathetic to these elements and reluctant to give them up to the special force ops. It is generally now accepted as an ideology, and little kids and youths now see and perceive these bandits as interesting and exciting.

You have to blame him....
They did not allow the South African mercenaries to finish their jobs...
Becos of the juicy contracts and money theu can steal...
Whats diffilcult in using mercenaries to do your dirty jobs ?...
Even the US use private contractor to fight their dirty wars...

Which insecurity?
Where,how,why?
insecurity has been truncated and decimated. In fact, banditry, and terrorism have been defeated.

I am very shocked!

People who the nation entrust with our safety and backed with billions of naira are now the ones pointing fingers looking for who to blame for their failures instead of using their time to plan and strategies on how to defeat insurgency
Have the Nigeria Army even attempted to recruit spies or informants or even uncover agents to defeat insurgency it is not only by running all over the jungle that you win wars COS should create a intelligence unit in the Army

THIS COMMENT SHOW YOUR LOW LEVEL IQ AND HIGH SCALE STUPIDITY. PLS DELETE IT.

An unprecedented and largely preposterous level of stupidity it is. Majority of Nigerians are irredeemably insane and that's why things are the way they are.

This is out of context. He is only saying that the bandits are also Nigerians.

Anyways, as a leader he should have been more positive rather than saying 'it all depends....' that's where he missed it

Thank God for his statement. It confirmed the full complicity of Nigeria Army's top echelon as the Merchants of Death in this unending war on Boko Haram.

Apparently you don't understand what context is.

He made that statement truly but the headline is misleading.

Actually I know karma is hitting APC hard on all angles cos these are the same games they played when Jonathan was there. But Nigerians need to stop this circle.

Buratai statement called for support from Nigerians. Thats the context of the speech. Although, he didn't portray enough optimism which is an obvious factor in Nigerian leaders.

Though I honestly wish he can resign but these press should stop misleading people abeg

They is nothing misleading about the topic and and what he said... Infact the topic was too lenient .

From the video, there was zero sense of responsibility, he was calm, all smiles trying to deflect responsibility to police and the citizenry.

He doesn't even understand what he just did, even most commenters.
