I am beginning to believe that granting southern Nigerians a separate country will be to the disadvantage of southerners. The southerners are terrible to her people. Most times we wish British had not handed Nigeria to Nigerians. It might seem to be worse when Southern Seccession is granted to southerners.
Bro you are very correct about this.. an average muslim north will steal and still do more for his pple but a southerner will never do the same.. Have you heard of any northern student protest like this abroad

Those NDDC guys are wicked o.. would they have left their own children to suffer like that??

The money is there, but then, why hoard it?
It was last month thereabout they paid us 10k transport allowance to some of us that attended 2018 scholarship interview. And that's simply because they perceived this probe (so at least they can say we channelled so and so amount for this).

Physical Wickedness in high places.
u don't even know NDDC..they are the most corrupt organisation in Nigeria...their own is just to share the fund given to them by government

Nigeria is not cursed. However Nigerians tolerance for bad leadership and total lack of progressive is very elastic and seems to have no limit.
Nigerians must demand better leadership and accountability of our common wealth. Nothing will change if we do nothing.

These students are from Niger Delta exclusively. The management of NDDC is all by Niger Deltans. But some shameless
Idiots will come and blame the North, Fulani and Buhari for the inhuman treatment these Niger Deltans are meting on their people.

Niger Delta should be competing with Dubai in Development if they were not lead but the monkeys among them.

I don't understand why you guys are singling out Akpabio in this NDDC mess. The MD that slumped yesterday when asked to account for how 1.5bn was spent to "take care of ourselves" as they put it and the former one claiming saint calling on Wike to come save her are all thieves and together complicit. The issue of non-payment of NDDC scholars tuition fees did not start last year when Akpabio was made Minister of Delta Affairs.

This is the reasoning that makes Nigerian leaders continue to steal. If you can justify stealing in any form, then it's safe to say ,you are a thief yourself.

I urge the Niger Deltans especially students not to take side on what is happening in NDDC, we have been victims of underdevelopment amidst the huge amount of money that goes to the commission monthly from FG and the oil companies operating in the Niger Delta and this is reprehensible to bad leadership.
Proper sanitation on the commission is for our own good.
I commend Mr President on the fight against corruption.
NDDC will be great again.

What a great show of wickedness and neglect by the leadership of NDDC. They preferred to loot the money and abandon the scholars since 2018 with out any payment.
What a shame!

Speak for yourself. Not everyone wants to live as a slave. I will rather live in corrupt Nigeria than live like a slave.
You got this wrong. He means the colonial period which officially began from 1914 when north and south were amalgamated and became Nigeria. That's different from the era of the slave trade which was abolished in 1832..

No Niger Deltans will come out now to talk but let PMB go and commission anything in the North you'll start hearing Nepotism and all kind of English, if a Northerner were made the MD of NDDC my people will come up with noises all over the world but presently their very own has been milking them to dryness (this is to show us that the loopsided appointment should never be an issue but competency and loyalty to service should be the focus).
For those clamouring for Nigeria break up, hope we've seen the litmus test of it at NDDC (NORTH is never our problem), the corruption fabric is in every household, the battle is not SE Vs NE, or SS Vs NC or SW Vs NW, the battle is purely Elites Vs Masses, even if we break up, it will still remains Elites Vs Masses. The earlier we strategise on the solution the better for our generation.

Colonies are still slaves under particular companies which owned slaves. It’s just a more sophisticated type of slavery. Your life and future is determined by some people who don’t even know you. Don’t be deceived, colonies are no different from slaves. Just packaging.

This is very shameful. Even Buhari will be in shock.

Meanwhile a whooping sum of 15 trillion naira has gone to NDDC since inception but with little or nothing to show for it.

The people from the region need to start holding their leaders and representatives accountable instead of always seeing Buhari, Tinubu or Ganduje as the source of their problem.

Hold their leaders accountable how? If NDDC funds are stolen then the law is there to make them pay. How do I hold Akpabio accountable?

I think Niger Delta is not yet matured or united to control her huge oil resources. Should i say they have been so much pampared by the federal government by establishing development agencies, granting of scholarships, including the granting of amnesty to militants. Niger Deltan leaders abused all these privilages and opportunities. No region in the country gets as much in terms of revenue and federal support from oil as the niger delta region yet, they are still backward development wise. They should start holding their leaders accountable.they deserved to be hanged.

We were not ready for independence as at 1960,if Nigeria waited till year 2000,our country will be better than what it is today.

I am happy you share my view. nigeria was not matured economically , politically, educationally and culturally when we got independent in 1960. it was like asking 5 year old to start living in his own.
