A Sovereign Wealth Fund is what the Niger Delta needs. Managed by intellectuals and not politicians and the profits used to develop the infrastructure of the region. Run that sovereign fund aggressively like an investment company, similar to the way Norway runs its own Sovereign Wealth fund. Invest in businesses and industries within the region, across Nigeria and even abroad. With public annual financial and Niger Delta developmental projects reports and public oversight hearings at the national assembly and also reporting to the state assemblies of the Niger Deltan States.

Nigeria can't continue to be run this way. The Niger Delta is in decay and that is where most of the wealth comes from. The people there are very angry. Their farm lands and fishing streams destroyed cos of oil exploration and they don't benefit one naira from this oil in return. May God burn out the cancer called corruption in Nigeria including those who are responsible and enable this sick corrupt system.

The management of NDDC is all by Niger Deltans. Who should organize and monitor the commission?
But some shameless people will come and blame the North, Fulani and Buhari for the inhuman treatment these Niger Deltans are inflicting on their people.

As for the NEDC it can be scrapped if even 1% of the criminal activity seen in the NDDC manifests there.
