Good day, the situation of the chick is not out of hand.
If you are buying compound feed you will have to add oyster shell and bone meal in adequate proportion to the feed.

It happened to some chicken we reared sometimes ago and after 7-10days following the same method all where upright before sales.

Drug is not the solution. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

When I received some 100 birds one time, in addition to my other birds, I saw one had a leg that doesn't straighten, always folded but I followed through my regular routine of nursing my birds, placed all of them on keproceryl and always kept adding Glucose to their water and it worked magic. Can't even recognize the chick again. Chick is enjoying her life!
What's the function of the keproceryl? Is it in water that you add it? What of the glucose? is it sold in animal pharmacy? I started a poultry farm recently. I was given multivitamin, oxygen cap and growth fast to add to their water. Hope they're good?

They are lacking in calcium,
U could give Dem glucose, and buy calcium and add directly into their water.
Is the glucose sold in animal pharmacy too?

My dear farmer can calcium supplement and administer on the chicks, meal and water.

Also prepare bone meals,for them.

Thanks
So, calcium supplement can be added to their meal too, not just their water only? Please, explain more. I just started poultry farming recently. Thanks.

I haven't experienced this with my flock, but it resembles either Slipped Tendon or Twisted Leg. Slipped Tendon is caused by insufficient B vitamins. Feeding appropriately formulated food for the age and breed will prevent more birds from being affected. It will not correct the current problem, but will prevent it from getting worse. If it is Twisted Leg, I don't know what to suggest. My chicken health manual advises against raising them on a wire floor, in any case.

Mixing bonemeal with their feed is not good. You must only give them the feed as you bought it. There is one drug called asbona. Buy it and give it to your chicks through their water.[/quote

Very correct

First separate them from others, the give them calcium, glucose and vitamin.. give them through their water for @ least 5 days

Stuffs like dis happen, sometimes they come with such defects frm day old, I guess u didn't notice on time
For their food, please stop mixing dem with bone meal or what have u. If it finished feed u want to use, use just that, if u want to mill the feed yourself, then as for the appropriate items to use. Some times we are the cause of our own problems

it is anti biotics and multiviatmin, it is added to their water, i believe it would really help. i never believed mine could recover, it was not walking with the foot, she was fine anyway, from the spur down to the foot, it folded backward, i was pitying her, only for me to suddenly see she is getting better, only used keproceryl then later added glucose. Keproceryl helps to prevent and treat bacterial infection and provide needed vitamin. it contains vitamin D that would help it absorb calcium that helps to build and maintain bones, A which helps to build strong and healthy bones, it even contains vitamin b12 too sef for bone building cells. Glucose was added to provide the calcium that vitamin D would absorb in sufficient quantity. Hopefully that helps.

Keproceryl is #1300, glucose is about #500 to #600. i do not know about the oxygen cap and growth fast, mine are layers and i have a procedure to handle my layers for optimal productivity in the long run.

What's the name of the liquid calcium, please? How much is it sold?

I don't know actually, but they give me in a plastic bottle.
The calcium looks like water.

There is no much calcium in their feed. Too much of fat (protein)

Kindly change the feed you are using and get a finished feed. The issue comes from your premix formulation.
However, I will advise you to always use finished feed for your chicks due to mistakes that arise from toll millers.

Please I do mix the bone meal with their food when I bring them as day olds but I didn't do it for these ones, please what can I do to reverse this... I've given them a bone meal and all I can lay my hands on at the livestock pharmacy.

Feed your chicks good food, it makes them healthy. You can't feed them crappy food (greed for profit) and still expect them to be healthy!

I have experienced this before, first change your feed.secondly get aloe Vera and give them the juice from it, in less than 3 days your birds would be up.

don't mix anything in their food pls

medications like this are mix with their water

firstly isolate those chicks having problem and be treating them separately

it could also be that there is much fat in their food resulting to too much weight which can weaken the bone
