My own take is that if u guys like o, relax... just know that its becoming a hopeless situation, the thing here is we are never together, Indians came out and cried out their country opened their airspace today but if it's Nigeria, people will come and be writing long epistles, and saying rubbish, If we are to call the federal government on Twitter now, people will still condemn it, Nigerian students went on twitter to call out the government on school reopening, guess what, our government has began to act, we are too scared to make d changes we seek, up on till now we have zero knowledge of when international flights will resume, since march 21 oo, oya na make we all dey here suffer am.

My take on this after listening to a programme on Channels TV yesterday evening. I can confirm to you all that the main reason for the closure of the airspace is because most of the Nigerian "doctors" are planning to leave the country. Remember what happened recently when some doctors were trying to leave for the UK at the slightest chance they had. No country can afford to have shortage of medical personnel and yet we treat ours like trash. Unfortunately, as students, we are caught in their web. Most of our politicians have dual citizenship and access to private jet, leaving country if need be is not totally a problem for them as they really don't need a visa.

I think it's time we start calling the Minister out. Stating how much we've invested in this struggle and seeing our colleagues from other countries having a itch-free process while ours is conditioned on the reopening of the international airspace which they are politicizing. Like someone suggested, I think we really need to storm the minister's and his ministry's pages. This time around, we don't need no "doubting Thomases" to hold us back abeg.

Regarding availability of flight, obviously Germany is taking in student, and some other European student as well. So I don't think getting some airlines to open in Nigeria is going to be a problem, afterall some are flying from Cotonou in the past few weeks.

Please, the ever hardworking guys like stifflersammy, leo2sexy, clintosparks etc should come up with an hashtag. Let's do this today while the recent proclamation is still fresh. They'll definitely come up with something before their next PTF briefing, we can as well tag some national TV stations like channels TV, Arise news etc .

If we continue to remain timid for the fear of the unknown, their unthinkable policies will continue to shape our lives. Nigerian student should stand up for once. We have a voice and it must be heard.

My submission
Thanks

Good morning everyone. Please this question may sound somehow but I just want to know if I'm on track. My Father is late. And I need to swear an affidavit of age declaration for my visa application. Can my mother sign as the head of the family?

Dollypee, it has been a while, the struggle since last year, chaii! It will end in praise, hope you've been cool?

So, I think this is quite different and far much more better than our previous strategy. Let's face our own people squarely, they really are our major problem. We have the right to protest towards the politicking and selfish attitudes of our leaders.
I'm in for this 1000%.

Well done guys

I just spoke with the visa section of the German Consulate in Lagos. They said VISA Application resumption is dependent on international flight resumption. That once the airspace is open, they will open.

Let's keep hope alive. Do not lose hope.

My school shifted their resumption date to November 2 so hopefully by then everything will be normal.

Guys, I don't really want to be a bringer of bad news but you guys are not being realistic.

The earliest any of us can make it to Germany is 2021 and thats if our government no messup again oo.

Let me even ask, should they open airports now..... How long do you think it takes to get appointment, go for interview, wait for approval mail and then visa stamping?

Ordinarily, these things take a minimum of 3-5 months. All things being equal, we are looking at December.

So even if they should open Airports now, there is now way any of us will make it in time to Germany for october. That is if due process is followed. Unless they will rush it and process everything fast. But Nigeria being one of the least favourable countries on their table, its highly unlikely.

All of you shouting they should open the airports too should know that our leaders are clueless and just hanging onto straws. They don't really know how to manage a pandemic at alarming levels and thats why they are being skeptical of rushing things.

It won't suprise you that all the so called isolation centres are just scams and non existent. Only on papers.

That is why they are willing to cancel a whole WAEC and close up our international airports till when God knows when.

There is no need to panic guys. Schools in Germany are in alignment with the embassies worldwide and they know what's happening. Its not about Nigeria government even though they are all messed up normally. Schools are already sending a confirmation letter requiring the presence of Students in the school and in addition an extension letter for enrolment. Mine was sent this morning without me requesting and from the confirmation write up there are no plans yet for resumption due to the covid 19 restrictions and in the extension letter my enrolment was extended till march. Am sure this letters were sent based on the alignment with the embassies world wide so I feel this letters would definitely be part of the visa requirements.so even if d embassy reopens by October or November they would still give AD provided you tender the extension letter and confirmation letter of your physical presence.

Not withstanding we can still carry out our online peaceful protest for the aviation ministry to reopen international flights.

I think there should be something that relates the tag to Nigeria. #OpenNGIntlAirspace and we can use other trending Nigeria tags with it so that more people will see it
