who said Iheanacho was better than Gabby? even during the Iheanacho 'is better than mbappe' grin period when komekn wasn't involved didn't majority of us dismiss that notion?

i've agreed with komekn alot of times but sometimes I really question his opinion about certain players.

i've argued and disagreed with almost everyone on this thread at one point or the other so it's nothing personal

thanks baba

The funny thing is no one even back then said Iheanacho was better than Mbappe.

We (myself and TheGoodJoe) compared their traits and qualities and were of the opinion that Nacho has got a few qualities which stand him in good stead when compared to Mbappe. We always stressed that Mbappe had more qualities but that the gap wasn't as wide as people made it out to be b'cos Mbappe's major strength has always been his pace and skills. Nacho's Strengths lie in ability to create and pick those very incisive passes.

In goal scoring, GoodJoe and I said both are excellent finishers and at the time the Ligue 1's goal factor was 1.5 compared to the EPL's 2.0. So we said Nacho's goals then had more weight. But today, Ligue 1 is now 2.0 so that stance no longer holds.

This was at a time Nacho was just coming off a season as one of the deadliest strikers in Europe based on goals per mins ratio. So the comparison was valid at the time but never did anyone outrightly proclaim that Nacho was better all round than Mbappe. Some people back then even misunderstood what the discussion of Nacho-Mbappe was really about.

I have seen this statement dropped here for too long but I ignore it b'cos some people here always wanna twist things. And the more they kept repeating it, it made some others believe it was actually said.

I recall even predicting back then that I see Mbappe ending up at Real Madrid. That he has that quality. It is funny when you see comments here sometimes. Some just enjoy changing the actual narrative of a discussion.

It is well. We move.

I don't want to even wade into the matter at hand or I would also be called an a*licker. lol.
If you say a striker sees an open net and he will balloon the ball, does it imply the striker has always done so?
Where is the logic? However, dribbling doesn't necessarily have to be Iheanacho's strong point to be a good striker.

Terem Moffi does not lack serious suitors, but the big question is – who of these interested clubs are ready to break the bank and pay KV Kortrijk more than five million Euros for the striker they bought for $150,000 seven months ago.

French Ligue 1 side Stade Brest have said they are willing to break their transfer record of three million Euros to sign the 21-year-old striker.

Voetbalkrant today reported that Saint Etienne, who barely escaped relegation from Ligue 1 this past season, are also ready to table a bid as they plan to revive their fortunes in the new season.

The question is whether they wish to take the gamble of paying a small fortune for a player who has yet to prove himself in a top league.

Moffi fired four goals in seven league matches for Kortrijk before the season in Belgium was aborted due to the Coronavirus.

Het Laaste Niuews also reported on the emergence of Brest and Saint Etienne after the likes of Galatasaray and Glasgow Rangers were also linked with Moffi.

However, they reported none of the clubs have so far met Kortrijk asking price, which may now be more than the five million Euros they had initially asked for as more clubs join this big chase.

Y'all always say you want nacho to improve his game but let me burst your y'all bubble. Your hatred and bias agaisnt nacho won't even make it possible for you to see he has indeed improved this season. There was a time nacho was languishing in the wilderness of Leicester city, he couldn't even make match day squad. He was simply ostracized from the team and simply lost his confidence. There cometh a time in every man life where you go through the darkest hours of your life but your ability to bounce back is very crucial. Is it that y'all doesn't have eyes to see? Or y'all just want to keep using his past (wilderness) to judge him?. He gained back his confidence, he laced his boot, forgot about his wilderness past and hit the damn net with 10 goals, 4 assists, in 25 matches. Instead of y'all to judge him base on this season taking into cognizance of his past wilderness, shine your eyes to see an improvement but y'all allow that bitter soul komekn to keep forcing his negative agenda agaisnt nacho down y'all throat. He is simply waiting and hoping for Osimhen to have a bad career in Napoli so that he can drag him to the mud like he did when Osimhen was in germany. I'm out!!!
All this long story doesn't change the fact that Nacho is below average at dribbling. I don't know why you're taking this to heart.
Aubamayeng who is a better goal scorer gets criticized for his inconsistent technical ability and poor hold up play but that doesn't change his strong points.
Nacho like every other player has his strong and weak points.
I don't know why pointing out his weak points must be viewed as "hating". Una no dey tire??
Every year, same ish. I purposely stayed out of the debate so I don't get called a hater.
No be only una dey patriotic abeg...

6 reasons why Victor Osimhen’s transfer situation is complex

La Voix du Nord this morning sought to hone in on the different factors that are making Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen’s current transfer situation so complex. The forward passed a medical with Napoli, but the deal is still not done. Why? And why have things taken so much longer than Lille anticipated?

Because Osimhen Changed Agent

A week ago, Victor Osimhen formally parted ways with agent Jean-Gérard Benoît Czajka, who had been looking after the Nigerian forward’s interests since he was 14. The outlet claims that the player did not appreciate the way that Czajka was conducting negotiations with Napoli. Sources tell Get French Football News that Osimhen was pressured into making the agent switch by Lille owner Gérard Lopez. His new agent, William D’Avila, currently manages the careers of a number of Nigerian talents in Ligue 1, including Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux), Henry Onyekuru (Monaco), Moses Simon (Nantes) and Abou Outtara (Lille). As a result, contract talks between Napoli and the player’s camp had to start again from virtually zero.

Because Napoli want to have sales at the very least lined up before pushing the deal through

In Napoli’s line of attack, they are going to have to make space for the Nigerian. The club are inclined to move Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik (26) on in order to make way for him, owing to the player’s injury record.

Because Napoli need to free up a non-EU spot

Like in France, Italian clubs are limited in the number of non-EU players that they can harbour in their squad. 21-year-old attacker Leandrinho and Mexican winger Hirving Lozano could be brought to depart. An exit from Senegalese central defender Kalidou Koulibaly would also free up a space. The local French outlet claims that City made an offer of around €65m, but this was not enough for Napoli.

Because Osimhen just lost his father

At the end of June, the Nigerian striker faced the pain of losing his father. For a week, he was in Nigeria to attend the funeral. During this period of time, negotiations were stopped.

Because the eventual fee will be large

Gérard Lopez remains convinced that he will earn Les Dogues €81m from the sale of Osimhen. In Italy, the claims are that the deal will be done for around €60m instead. A 6-year contract, worth between €4m to €5m a year, has also been drawn up for Osimhen, but Napoli are still negotiating finer details with William D’Avila. There is still the matter of image rights and remuneration of present and past agents to be resolved. The outlet claims that Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso has even offered to take a wage cut personally if it helps get the move through.

Because Napoli are not alone in their interest from Osimhen

Since 13th July, Victor Osimhen has been exclusively in negotiations with Napoli. If the deal continues to drag, other big European clubs could come in: Inter Milan, Liverpool and Manchester United are the clubs that the outlet mentions.
