There was no marriage in the first place, what was in place was an unwritten contract which required both parties to play some roles for the marriage to stand which was nothing more than a camouflage.

When one partner in such agreement seized playing their roles the other start feeling compromised and come up with statement like such "I gave everything to make her these" , the other feels like I did those sleepless night, the reading and such.

These then leads to a feeling of resentment towards each other, the woman approaches the court and a divorce is granted in which the man has to forfeit his property and in addition some child support.

The man a party in the contract "feels" cheated and does his worst.

And in most cases, it's not because the "man" wants to control the woman or her finances, but the complete change, disregard and insult most of them have to endure once their wife start earning more than them. I'm 100 percent sure if Divorce was so easy as it is in Nigeria, majority of those men would have preferred to divorce and go their different way, leaving many (if not all) of these incidents with a different ending. But unfortunately, the US family laws favour mostly women.

Just look at the case of those two men that lost almost everything they have worked for and owned for over 20/30 years to their wife during divorce? Don't you think that will lead to anger, resentments and a strong drive to revenge?

While it's good to execute your freedom, it's also selfish, malicious and wicked to demand for almost all the man's property - leaving him with virtually nothing during divorce. And it becomes more worse when the courts approve such outrageous demands.

But this selfish demands during divorce, and the resulting murder is usually caused by hatred that have build up over a long period of time, and the "need" to hurt the other person as much as possible. And this "hatred", In many cases start when either of the "spouse" change.

If you look at those Registered nurses with solid families, you will realise many of them behave completely different from those getting divorced or killed by their husbands.

It boils down to ubderstanding. A couple that is united won't find themselves in this mess, since the funds earned would be expended in footing/financing mutual expenses/projects. I feel couples can run joint accounts where boths parties can deposit certain amounts from their incomes ( calculated in percentages).

...and some women can't handle lopsided privilege. If your wife cheats, you divorce her only; but If you cheat, you lose your house and half your net worth (and maybe custody of your children too). When they learn how lopsided such law is, many either use it to threaten the man every damn time, or they just activate it to be "free".
