Odunayaw:Exactly what one of the soldiers I met today said, in his words "DSS should stage a phantom terror attack in Abuja it should be executed in a way that no casualties should be recorded them they tell the media that X number of people died". I saw sense in what he said honestly, the DSS, NIA, DIA have being reduced to tax collectors, political witch Hunters and election riggers. Only the armed forces especially the army have bared the brunt of this Insurgency. The irony of of it all is that they are least taken care of welfare wise. DSS/NIA enjoy very juicy package for wearing suits and dark eye-glass and be pursuing yahoo boys. If I say all I heard from some serving personnel true to God even a devil will pity our soldiers. It even seem like Buratai is already suffering from "combat stress" the man look tired already, e don begin misyarn for media. 7 Likes |

seankafor: The Military is not creating a proper military-Civilian relationship. An Average Nigeria military personnel feels he can do and undo to any civilian that comes into little disagreement with them. Have you seen the way NDA students behave when they are on break in their respective base? Many Nigerians enrol into the military so that they'll get feared by the populace and not to be respected. Any little thing "Do you know who I am? Even a Daughter of a General will become rude and willing to slap any human that crosses her way in Abuja. Tho I have noticed the Military personnel don't intimidate people here in the Northeast. Tho this Northeast we no know who be who make you no go intimidate your senior Oga mistakenly 10 Likes |

From an anonymous source. The Humanitarian workers that were recorded pleading for the Non-Governmental Organisations to pay ransom have been beheaded. This is really saddening if true RIP Lucas Philibus. The good old days of Oxfam in Gwoza before you joined IRC in Monguno. A very humble dude. Rest well Bro RIP Ishaku. That video gave me a chill spine when I saw you amongst those adopted. May God keep your wife and little kids strong. This kind of death where your loved ones will never get hold of your body. Rest Well Compatriots. Till we meet again This news spoil my night Wella shaaaaa 16 Likes |

ugo4u: This would be a disaster. By the time that Nigeria-hating-media is finished with Nigeria no response by the politicians in terms of increased military spending will help salvage the country. The boost in Terrorists moral by the enormous negative news endangered would even mitigate gains in military acquisition by the army. As for the media, it’s not that those that target Nigeria are effective because they have a powerful media machinery, they are effective because they are articulate for having a target and mission. These outlets in audition to homegrown opposition political ones would simply overwhelm. Lol, even before the star-wars weapons we buy has cleared the forests of evil terrorist vermin, America will land to save us like they saved Libya. 1 Like |

Good job, and that's the same act that encourages corruption. No military guy in his right mind would have taken money from a civilian in that kind of situation, yes i get what you did and all, but was that professional of him to have taken that money? Heck no. Here i understand most of us use emotion etc, but regardless of how good your intention, he was wrong for that. Now I'm sure what i wrote above wouldn't be a popular opinion, but think about it and tell me I'm wrong ugo4u: 3 Likes |

Fear mounts that abducted Borno's King-hunter, Baba-Maigiwa may not return MAIDUGURI: It is over a month now since Boko Haram abducted Borno king-hunter, Abdulkarim Umar, popularly known as Baba-Maigiwa, and two other charmed hunters, during a bothched amnesty negotiation deal. The Humanitarian Times broke the news about three weeks ago that the famous hunters' king known for his skills of hunting wild animals and arrest of notorious bandits had gone missing. He and his colleagues set out to arrange an amnesty deal in exchange for hundreds of Boko Haram fighters led by Modu Sulum, laying down their arms. Since his disappearance and reported abduction, the insurgents holding him and his colleagues hostage had not made any demands; neither had they made any pronouncement about what may have befallen them. Sources familiar with the incident that led to the disappearance of the King-hunter informed The Humanitarian Times that Mr Baba-Maigiwa had previously involved in successful negotiation and release of abductees from custody of the Boko Haram in the past. That he had through the collaboration of the military secured the release of some persons on two occasions. Jimi24: Have you thought of the international consequences of providing funds in exchange for arms to a group of terrorists at a time Libya hadnt a working government? Ghaddafi's arms weren't the only arms threatening the Sahel region at the time, the fall of Mali by the defunct Anzawad republic put more arms in the hands of Fulani militia more than Ghadaffi''s cause of their connection with the Tuareg rebels, besides, Alqaeda in the Islamic Mahreb the father of Boko haram never had problems transferring arms to Boko's sister in East Africa Al-shabab, why will west Africa be a problem with or without Ghadafi's arms? Lets go to the evidence we have seen from battle, how many Ghaddafi arms do you see in OPS Lafiya dole? what I see are Niger, Chadian & Nigerian technical taken from us, should we buy those ones too? to be honest, most Ghaddafi arms were reused in several waves of Libyan conflicts while those that flew out ended up in Mali and other Sahel regions, Nigeria didn't get up to 10% of it, what difference will it make mopping it up in a clandestine operation at the risk of being branded a state sponsor of terror? when you put good money in the hands of terrorists, what do you think they will use it for? buy Candy? they will buy more arms, expand their operations, pay more experts & reign more terror. It sounds smart but its counter productive in the real world, if he said Nigeria & other Sahel countries to put pressure on France and the US to mop up Ghaddafi's arms immediately after the Benghazi incident, that would have more positive impact than going solo, always know that Nigeria doesn't have intl friends because of our foreign policy of neutrality outside the west African bloc. 15 Likes 1 Share |

LtRussell: We arent doing it because we want to, but global counter terror initiative we are expected to abide by to give COIN a human face, we need their arms & intl support so not doing it has dire consequences, do you really know how Jonathan ended up in an arms embargo, besides', the rule of engagement is clear on a surrendered forced conscripted combatant, not all terrorists qualify for rehabilitation. You must be abducted, forced to fight, willfully surrender, give substantial info against the insurgents before you qualify, they supply most of the info that take out insurgent leaders you hear in the news, their current asset value far out weighs their crime in the past, furthermore such vital information form the skeleton of actionable intelligence in dismantling the sect from inside saving countless lives, sometimes you take a hand shake from the devil to cross a river, Have you heard of the US institute of peace? what do you think they do? That program is an insurance for human rights violations, Life is not fair!! 10 Likes 1 Share |
