Biko, Idennaa (AKA OdenigboAroli).... My good man, First things first abeg. K.Nwakali just returned to football. Allow the lad have his run in La Liga. Let's see the lad ACTUALLY impress in La Liga before talks of invite to the NT resume on the lad's head. We both know Nwakali is a real talent but he needs to work to earn his call BIG TIME. No dey mention am in same sentence as Alex Iwobi abeg. It's quite off to be honest.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Alex Iwobi is truly underrated on this thread by several. I just don't understand why it's difficult to see the importance of Iwobi to our team plays especially in the final third. It's true he needs wicked competition but we cannot continue to keep ignoring his class and hardwork of recent in the GWG. Dude even scored on his last outing for us. Na wa oooo!!!

I wonder! no be strikers normally they scoop awards especially when they are scoring? Vardy is the top scorer in EPL for that matter. Ndidi may be as important but expect Vardy to take it with such kind of performance.

Lmao

Just like Kante was a goalscorer when he won Leicester player of the season or PFA player of the year. Or De Gea also was Man Utd player of the year because of the goals he scored.

I guess Van Dijk also was Liverpool player of the year and PFA player of the year because he was a goalscorer.

Na watin Safarigirl dey talk be this. If Ndidi was an Arab or Turkish or South African, you'll see how they'll support him

Ighalo scored 17 goals in EPL and 20 goals in the Championship league. Dont deceive people. Yes, he failed in the EPL after his first season and such player is not ideal for a club of Man U status.

So, this is about Iheanacho ?

Wait... How many season Ighalo spent in watford? Two seasons I guess... With over 40 goals is what you called a failure?

Can you please explain how Ighalo failed in EPL?

About nacho I'm just asking a question.

grin

I have been waiting for that word "prejudice". grin

Those that Know me very well here know my philosophy of not rating a player based on youth performance alone. So that sermon you are preaching is not for me.

And I have never been an advocate of invitation of any mediocre player to the national team. Infact, I don't easily get flattered by those club performances of players like most people here.

What I have told you is a very simple reality. If Kelechi Nwakali's performances at his club improves he stands a chance of getting an invite. Don't rule out that possibility. What is wrong with that statement? undecided

He is a player that has always been part of the Nigerian youth teams set up and so had always been under the radar. Such players more easily get called up once they hit gear.

What would you call that statement, it is self explanatory, FAVORITISM and BIAS on the basis of youth team football. I don't know what hit gear means.

But he has done absolutely nothing for 5 years.

You mentioned favoritism and bias for Borough players by my person.

Tell me one player l have talked about in the context of HERE and NOW and or AT THAT TIME that did not have quality to compete in the SE with the current players who are their ❓

We had players from Cyprus league in the SE and other obscure leagues. That's context.

I think l am more harsh with Nigerian origin players than with Nigerian homegrown and or sourced talented players.

We find it easy to talk about players in Albanian leagues, Latvian, Nordic leagues, Isreal league. These league are below the standard of the Championship and some even lower than league one

But when a Nigerian origin player is talked about playing in the championship some people call it bias and favoritism. I talked about Ovie ages ago, l talked about Aribo ( now a SE regular) he was in league one then.

For possibly two seasons or more l have not mentioned Fred Onyedinma until last week. Why not because he lost quality but because l felt he had not done enough to be the best in league one. I could have made excuses such as he had knee surgery, etc

I haven't talked about Chuks Aneke because he hasn't done anything to merit a call up. I only have talked about Tega Onomah last two weeks. I have not talked about Ademola Lookman in a long time. I have been quite about Dominic Iorfa for a few months.

I have talked talked about Adarabioyo as the best HERE and NOW, current CB of Nigerian origin. ln my opinion he is much better than Awaziem any day of the week.

But you and many others continously talk about a player who has been so bad over the past 5 years he was demoted to Youth football in Porto B and still struggled. Now has had a few minutes not games and he is first in line for the SE.

This is a players that has not achieved 10% of what the players l have mentioned and or been quite about have achieved and indeed may never achieve.

And then some actually a lot, have the bare faced hypocritical double-standard cheek to call me biased and showing favoritism to Nigerian origin players in the UK. And he HATES Nigerian homegrown players.

Ogenyi Onazi in advanced talks to join Serbian champions Crvena Zvezda also called Red Star Belgrade. His contract expires in 15 days, after which he'll become a free agent.

As expected, Onazi has terminated his contract with Denizlispor. The injured Nigerian had left the city two weeks ago and found it difficult to return to the club.

The player complained about unpaid fees and Denizlispor, who are fighting relegation, will have to play their last game, where they need a point without the Nigerian.

Onazi is expected to complete a move to Red Star Belgrade.

Oga all this no follow go for this discussion. Nobody is saying Vardy is not the best player or not. What led to this discussion was because Komekn made it sound like voting for Ndidi was simply based on sentiments and not because he truly deserve a shot as Leicester's best player this season

Please do not use your misguided perception to present a narrative that suite your own biased prejudices.

I said very simply that the most important player in Leicester is Jamie Vardy.

He is the top goal scorer in the EPL he is not playing for Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea or United.

Without him Leicester will be in mid table or even lower. Vardy's goals have made the difference. Undoubtedly Ndidi is a very huge and important part of their success.

But just on goals Vardy is their best and most important player. In this regard my vote would be for Vardy.

And it has nothing to do with nationality we are just talking about measured perfomance.

Bros, with all this grammar....

I am not the SE Technical advicer but I am telling things how it is. That is y I earlier said "it is the reality". Nigerian grown players are easier to secure for the national team, so players that have represented Nigeria previously at youth levels and have also continued to churn out good performances are more easily invited to the SE because you don't need all those switch of nationality stuff that take months. Besides, I don't even want to go through all those talks of Foreign born players who have snubbed Nigeria in the past.

Ekong: "We played with personality"

The Juventus defensive center commented on the extraordinary victory against Juventus

At the end of Udinese-Juventus, William Troost-Ekong spoke to Udinese TV microphones: "I am very happy because these are 3 very heavy points and because I think that before the game nobody would have bet on us. They came here to celebrate and this charged us before the game, today we played with personality and we deserved to win. I better as a central? Yes, I played in the middle for two years but after the lockdown the Mister wanted to move me to the right. Obviously he decides how We go on the field but I think that from the central defense I can be more useful to the team. , I hope to help them in the challenge against Lecce ".

Champions FC Porto are preparing a bid for Zaidu Sanusi, who is now regarded as one of the fastest fullbacks in Portugal.

Porto’s interest in the 23-year-old Nigerian leftback is displayed on the front page of O Jogo today.

The Kebbi-born player is seen as a direct replacement for the Brazilian Alex Telles, who is set to be his way out of the Portuguese champions.

Zaidu, who can also play in central defence, has shone for modest club Santa Clara so much so that newly promoted German Bundesliga club Armenia Bielefeld have also indicated interest to sign him.

He has scored a goal in 23 appearances this season in Portugal.

You're not totally wrong in your statements as you have valid points.
But when a player is highly inconsistent to an annoying extent what then should that say about him?

QPR boss Mark Warburton has praised Ebere Eze for not allowing speculation about his future to affect him.

Eze has been widely tipped to move to a Premier League club after a sparkling season for Rangers.

Crystal Palace and more recently West Ham have expressed interest in the 22-year-old and several other top-flight clubs have been linked with him.

Warburton believes Eze deserves credit for the way he has taken it all in his stride.

“He’s a very special player,” said Warburton, whose team finished 13th in the Championship table.

“He’s worked so hard and for a young guy to deal with the headlines as he has – it’s very easy to distract a young player –

I’m delighted for him and the manner he’s dealt with some of the pressures.”

Warburton says he still hopes to start next season with the likes of Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel in his squad. Rangers have accepted an offer from Club Brugge for Osayi-Samuel, who played on Wednesday evening following talks with the Belgian outfit.

He was withdrawn from the squad for Saturday’s game against Millwall but returned for the trip to West Brom and plans to assess his options now the season has ended.

QPR and the player himself have been hoping that other clubs might come forward with offers for him.

Asked if he agreed Osayi-Samuel’s outing at The Hawthorns is likely to be his final appearance for the R’s, Warburton said:

“No I don’t. He’s a QPR player. I think the world of him and how he’s adapted and worked and the quality he’s delivered.”

Osayi-Samuel’s contract expires next year and he has rejected offers of a new deal, prompting Rangers to accept a £4.7m bid for him.

He is mulling over the move to Belgium, but Premier League and some Championship clubs have been made aware of his potential availability.

Warburton, whose squad will return to training in three weeks’ time, added: “Whatever happens happens. But if any player leaves QPR – and this is the key point – they leave on QPR’s terms. That’s what people have to realise.

“Every player in the world has got a price, whoever they are. If that valuation is met then everyone should win.

“I hope very much that everyone returns in 20 days’ time. But if we lose one or two it’s on QPR’s terms, that’s for sure.”
