Hello guys, Good Afternoon & I hope everyone is keeping on well. I have submitted an online application for study permit for fall 2020, & while I am waiting on that, the school (university of Winnipeg) has contacted me to say that the course I applied for (HRM pgd) is now full. Note that the conditions for a full acceptance is payment of fees at the set deadlines and study permit. So I am Given options to either (1) opt for another course, (2) defer to next intake or (3) ask for a refund. I have decided to go with option (1) opt for another available course. My question is this please- since I have already applied for the HRM pgd in my study permit (buttressing the reason for this course in my SOP and entire application). Would it affect my application? Do I need to update the Canadian embassy with this information? Please guys, I need your kind opinion on this please. Kind regards! |

I wasn't expcting this, I applied on 05 July 2020, received biometric request letter on 06 July 2020. I received Medical Examination Instruction letter today, 24 July 2020. When I saw the mail this morning, I thought I have been denied, I avoided my account till I couldn't hold it anymore I had to check. I just applied 19 days ago, and my admission is for Winter 2021, I am hoping and praying this ends well. Goodluck everyone!! 14 Likes 1 Share |

Insanity: Hmmm I initially typed congratulations until I saw your second post that they have not completed your eligibility and background check. Are these people bringing another new style again? Why send medical request when eligibility review is not completed? Anyway let us just be hoping and praying for the best. 5 Likes |

Luckymama: I guess its an issue with 'updating of account'. It's possible that the eligibility review has been completed but not updated on the account. 3 Likes |

Tinocosta17:Actually it's not, if you go for a 2yrs PGD in your field which is most time more expensive. I have paid mine, about to apply for SP. See one thing eh, when you get to Canada you can always switch but I feel this course and fee is cheaper compared to some schools |

Nwannediutor: But how have they concluded eligibility review for people who applied in June and yet people like me that applied since March 8, got my medical request in April. Did and passed the medicals in May. Yet nothing. And my school resumes September 8 and just emailed me that I will be provided letter to show at my home country border and Canadian border to enable me cross. They will also provide 2 weeks quarantine plan including airport pickup, accommodation, food, etc for $800. They also said I have to make it to Canada before August. So I wonder why they are so fast with people who don’t have a complete application and a lot of people with complete application are still hanging. August 15 is approximately 3 weeks from now. 2 Likes |
