We arent doing it because we want to, but global counter terror initiative we are expected to abide by to give COIN a human face, we need their arms & intl support so not doing it has dire consequences, do you really know how Jonathan ended up in an arms embargo, besides', the rule of engagement is clear on a surrendered forced conscripted combatant, not all terrorists qualify for rehabilitation.
You must be abducted, forced to fight, willfully surrender, give substantial info against the insurgents before you qualify, they supply most of the info that take out insurgent leaders you hear in the news, their current asset value far out weighs their crime in the past, furthermore such vital information form the skeleton of actionable intelligence in dismantling the sect from inside saving countless lives, sometimes you take a hand shake from the devil to cross a river, Have you heard of the US institute of peace? what do you think they do? That program is an insurance for human rights violations, Life is not fair!!

Many people need to understand that you don't fight Wars based on emotions.. Rehabilitation of terrorists may have it's risk but it's also an aspect of fighting asymmetric warfare...The rehabilitation of terrorists is being carried out by the military not because they want to but because they have to...Many soldiers hate the stuff like sh*t buh what choice do they have, it's war.

There was a Fierce gun battle btw #ISWAP & the Multinational Joint TaskForce in #Woulgo, #Cameroon on the night of July 22, 2020. The battle lasted over an hour, no casualties on the military's side, the Jihadists attack on #MNJTF base was met with stiff resistance. Details later

Strangely gov't has placed a ban on whatever type of arms even pump action, strange development but that's the reality owning a firearm is now illegal.

I have been studying satellite images of some towns in the north east and I have been noticing things that looks like defenses around some major cities like Maiduguri. Can't be sure because they are not really clear. Is there a trench or wall surrounding Maiduguri and most other cities?
Damasak is bordering republique du Niger and Ngala isn't very far from Cameroon.

All towns in Borno got trenches even Maiduguri. Although Maiduguri doesn't have a complete circular trench like other bases. It's just water that separates Damasak from Niger Republic. Many towns in Borno shares border with Cameroon.(Rann with Boddo,Banki with Amchide, Gamboru with Fotokol, I have forgotten the Cameroon towns bordering Gwoza and Pulka)

Most of what he said are known stuffs now. But I also read lot's of new things on those threads. Why would government be paying the terrorists not to attack some targets like the airport/airforce base and the terrorists also agreeing knowing fully that it undermines their goals.
We've always known that a lot of these organizations and individuals profit from the crisis and would never want it to end.

See Visitor complaining and giving story about insurgency grin. Gwoza he said unsafe? cheesy
Him they no even use road travel Maiduguri to Kukawa town to Baga town and Doron Baga cheesy.

He said a Kanuri woman agreed to give him his daughter? Kanuri ke? I would have believed if it's Babur, Bura, Chibok or Marghi wink

He said the NGO will rather employ than pay ransom. If we start paying ransom BH will 100% concentrate on kidnap for ransom. The Monguno attack ISWAP had the chances of kidnapping over 100 NGO personnel if they actually wanted to. NGOs are avoiding to make abduction a lucrative business because if we do some local guys might start kidnapping even in Maiduguri .

We do not give food to any Insurgents. But to be candid some foods we give to those in IDPS are finding their ways to the hands of BH. These IDPs got their brothers,Father's and Sons in Bokoharam. Some of them still share marital and family love with these guys. Like I'll always say Bokoharam are not spirits.

He is right on issues and clashes between host communities and IDPs. Example Monguno has IDP's from neighbouring Marte, Kukawa, Gudzamala,Abadam. Sometimes the Monguno peeps we are not concerned about them and more dedicated to the IDPs.

So true some NGO workers are using the powers to even sleep with IDP's ladies. These ladies are so hungry that they will do anything just for food and shelter embarassed. Most of the guys even using this to their advantage are Kanuri NGO guys. But NGO has a policy very strick against this trend. If you are caught it's definitely a Sack.

So you can call someone a visitor, you wey they talk about Borno here on the thread. I still keep on saying it years back Borno was not a place for NGO’s grin
Everything the guy said his true, there his nothing new about the way NGO’s operates in countries where there is conflicts/insurgencies !

He said a Kanuri woman agreed to give him his daughter? Kanuri ke? I would have believed if it's Babur, Bura, Chibok or Marghi wink

Have seen where Kanuri men/parents give there daughter hand in marriage to deferent tribe or ethnicity, not even Hausa/Fulani that is close to them. The last one I knew was a very wealthy and educated retired military Kanuri man.

He said the NGO will rather employ than pay ransom. If we start paying ransom BH will 100% concentrate on kidnap for ransom. The Monguno attack ISWAP had the chances of kidnapping over 100 NGO personnel if they actually wanted to. The last girls that where freed from BHT captives by the government people where yelling that the Federal government paid huge some of money to secure there release. The government where heavily criticized for these act saying they’re indirectly funding terrorism ? Despite the fact that the federal government said they didn’t pay any ransom people still kept spreading deferent rumors. If those Nigerians killed by BHT where expatriate wouldn’t the NGO pay those terrorist to secure there release and do it all over again if they where expatriate ?

We do not give food to any Insurgents. But to be candid some foods we give to those in IDPS are finding their ways to the hands of BH. It’s still the same indirect funding for terrorist, alot or NGO has been accused of indirectly funding terrorist in the north east. I know military intelligence is working on these and there days are numbered !

Gwoza is safe for now.Infact in late 2016 my Organization rented the house Shekau stayed for over a year in Gwoza as our office. Borno South are not Kanuri's aside Damboa. Immediately Army took over Gwoza in 2016 or so Boko kinda moved towards Damboa. Insurgency has really reduced in Southern Borno as they are not Kanuri's. Most of the Southern Borno guys who joined Bokoharam revolted after they noticed Shekau was making leaders (Amir) only Kanuri's.

In 2017 ISWAP became the real deal around Borno North and deep Central Borno. Infact Northern Borno is why ISWAP has a really stronghold.

Nigeria Bases are stationed at mostly the capital towns of these Local Government, while the other villages are controlled by ISWAP. That is why it is really dreadful for Soldiers moving from one base to another as most abandoned villages on your route are controlled by these terrorist.

It is only in Southern Borno you have numerous villages without military presence and civilian are residing there. They are just guarded by their local CJTF, Hunters and some science men grin

The Four hottest LGAs in Borno North is Abadam, Kukawa, Marte and Gudzamala. If you properly lay a heavy military siege on these Local Governments and block the exit boundary routes you will decimate over 85% of ISWAP members.
