The address on my app has my current house address. Upon printing my statement, I realized it has my family house. How do I modify my app address to my bank statement address because they continuously declined to accept the bank document. InaNla: |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by OvaSabi1(f): 10:51pm On Jul 24, 2020 |
InaNla: Wow, all the 3 months? Like from April till now? Notimezone thank you |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by InaNla(f): 11:20pm On Jul 24, 2020 |
Enick: I am sure the address in your statement is what is on record with the bank and that is what they need for verification. Now that both are different, you cannot change your address on the app. Look for other means... utility bill etc with the app address. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by InaNla(f): 11:21pm On Jul 24, 2020 |
OvaSabi1: Yes 3 months. They likely check the transaction history too. |

Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Harbelly: 11:44pm On Jul 24, 2020 |
InaNla: No they don’t need the whole three months. I activated mine with a month’s statement but must not be older than three month’s statement from the start to the end date. Snap the pages of the statement and convert it to a pdf file of not more than 15mb. Make sure every page of the statement has the bank stamp on it. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Harbelly: 11:51pm On Jul 24, 2020 |
Enick: You can easily update the address on your account in the bank to match the address you filled in the app and print a new statement afterwards. 3 Likes |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by InaNla(f): 11:54pm On Jul 24, 2020 |
Harbelly: It seems it’s case by case... See below what I received when verifying my account: “While reviewing your documents, we noticed that we are not able to accept your bank statement for this period of time as a valid proof of address document. Could you please provide us with a bank statement that covers a longer period of time and/or consists of more transactions (the end date of which is no more than 3 months back from now) so that we can accept it and verify your account” Hence, to be on safe side, 3 months would be advisable. |

OvaSabi1: Is your address on the statement? Also scan the whole document because they need to see the bank stamp or signature not just the first page. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Harbelly: 12:39am On Jul 25, 2020 |
InaNla: I received the exact same email too when I uploaded just a page of my statement onto the app. I had to upload all the pages of the one month’s statement I printed from the bank before my account was activated. What they meant by the words in bracket is the statement mustn’t be older than three months from now. That is, it could be a month’s statement or two or three which ever you choose but all within the last three months. It’s same thing when opening a bank account most banks always requires a utility bill of not older than three months from the date or month you are in the bank to open the account. 1 Like |

I think he’s saying you should update your ZenithBank address to match the one written in the T212 app. You cannot update your address using the ZenithBank mobile app victichy: |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Skymoore1004: 3:04pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
The most common mistake people make is mixing or omitting an address. If the address on your bank statement says “no 4 Mr Biggs Road, off Aki and Pawpaw roundabout, Lagos, Nigeria”, then that’s exactly you should write it on the T212 app. If you write “No 4 Mr Biggs Road, Lagos , Nigeria”, your bank statement won’t be accepted. If you write “No 4 Mr Biggs Road, off Aki & Pawpaw Roundabout, Nigeria”, your statement will be bounced. There can be two Mr Biggs Road or A & P roundabout in Nigeria. Note; Once you’ve submitted an address on T212, you can’t change it. You either have to delete the account & start afresh (which will take a while), or go to the bank to update your address to match it. So you have to be very cautious. Another thing is name. If your names are Akinbola Chinedu Mohammed but your passport says Akinbola Mohammed only or Chinedu Akinbola Mohammed or Chinedu Mohammed only, your identity submission will be bounced. You have to write it exactly as it is in the passport. So always take time to crosscheck before submission. They’re trying to be careful and minimise illegal activities from their end. 5 Likes |

victichy: You will need a visit to the bank to do this. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by 1kinggy(m): 6:02pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
victichy: You'd go to the bank with your government issued ID and any valid utility bill carrying the address you want to use. |

Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Skymoore1004: 7:43pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
You should choose your current country of residence in this case . P: S :- you should have a valid residence permit & bill with your address victichy: 2 Likes |
