justmykel:REFURBISHED= phone has been recycled (some parts have been changed or repaired) so it is prone to developing issues over a short time, follow your friend's advice if you are on a tight budget. |

hazel01: Rn7 and rn8 are a complete failure in the battery life aspect. BTW, haven't you been using the phone since that 7am? Cuz it is silly to expect it not to drain if you've been using it. |

sajmark: Not all refurbished phones are problematic. Incase you don't know, most of the iPhones in Nigeria are refurbished(talking about UK and US used iPhones which are the majority in Nigeria). I've used three UK used iPhone, which from their model number I discovered they were refurbished but never for one day did I experience any problems with any of them. Simply put, You can accurately know if an iPhone is brand new, Refurbished, Replaced or a personalized device by checking the Model number/Letter. If the Model number/Letter starts with letter M, it is/was a brand new iPhone device that was purchased at authorized apple stores and has not been worked on, If you see N then it means it is a refurbished, F also means refurbished and P(very rare)is a personalized device. Personalized devices are iPhones that have some extra security on them, they usually ship on demand but Apple generously includes some P devices on their pool of consumer retail phones. 1 Like |

Elder0001: Most of the iphones are tied to contracts, hence its easy to do quality check before selling. But out of contract phones are completely different. You are at the mercy of the seller |

Jemerson: Not only do I have a rn7 which I always have difficulty using because of its size, a lot of my friends also own and are using rn7 and rn8 as their daily driver. Neither of those phones ever last more than 7 or 8hours(sot) with very heavy usage. |

sajmark: You are wrong here sir! You might be tired of your phone which is still in perfect condition. If you want a good value for it and some physical parts are old or rough and you replace it, then it has been refurbished Doesn't mean the phone won't work well |

My redmi 8 is a Chinese version with a global ROM installed on it, I notice DAT only my airtel sim pop up 4g network but my mtn sim don't, so am just asking if it's my locations that matters or is the fact that it's Chinese version.

I've been having some issues with my network signal since yesterday. The network signal on my phone randomly goes and comes back on. Sometimes, a SIM card icon with an X inside would show up and my network signal wouldn't come back unless I turn off the phone and switch it on again. I've ejected my SIM card tray to find out if my SIM cards are inserted properly and they are. I've even tried activating my SIM through my MI account but the problem still persists. Can someone please give me any solutions to resolve this problem |
