.........Against Akpabio, IMC Ughelli – There are indications of imminent tension in Niger Delta as stakeholders from the region are set to stage a massive protest against Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, and Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei-led Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over the misappropriation of funds belonging to the interventionist agency. https://www.independent.ng/nddc-crises-looms-in-niger-delta-as-stakeholders-set-for-massive-protest-against-akpabio-imc/ Lalasticlala 1 Like |

I don't know the kind of sanitizer that can decontaminate Nigeria from corruption because GEJ's own failed, and Buhari's own is just like perfume, cos it hasn't worked at all...Unfortunately once a protest begins, a counter protest is staged by paid agents of interested parties. Which way Naija? |

Niger Delta people stealing Niger Delta money. If we talk too much, then go say na their Oyel money. Anyway, the protest is a welcome. In fact, it is long overdue. I even expect the so called Niger Delta militant and avengers to speak up against the sons and daughters of the soil who are impoverishing the region. 1 Like |

What the South South politicians do is confuse their people with complex yet meaningless grammar and also remind them of the common lie that the problems ravaging the south stems and shoots from a faraway North. Whereas, they are the greedy ones keeping their people in poverty and LAZINESS 1 Like

tempest01:What are we saying, what is this one saying? You are still repeating the same error I was pointing out. I.e always looking for who to blame. frankyychiji:just like the person above. Always looking for means to channel the blame on a the regions you hate. If someone from another region was used to head NDDC, you would wail and be quick to label them thieves.... Now, all these things are happening right under the nose of the home owners (SS), yet, you still try to push it on the North. Okay then, what happened to the 69billion naira scam under Jonathan amongst all other major crisis that rocked NDDC back then? I guess Jonathan is a Northerner too, same as Obasanjo |

frankyychiji: Despite all of Tinubu’s flaws, Lagos is still the best governed State in Nigeria. It is the economic capital of Nigeria and the destination of choice for all Nigerians from other states who want to break the ceiling of poverty. So you see, there is no need to protest against a system that works. The kind of protest you’re calling for is needed more in the south east. Igbos need to demand for the liberation of poorly governed states like Enugu, Abia, Imo, and Anambra. That the south east is the poverty capital of the south is no longer acceptable. That Igbos cannot make it until they move to the south west is no longer acceptable. Political leaders in the region must be compelled to learn leadership and administrative skills from Tinubu and other Yoruba leaders so that they can turn around the fortunes of the region. 2 Likes |

seunmsg:Apart from Lagos jointly developed by people all over the world, which Yoruba state is viable? I'm sure you came to Lagos too to better your lot, why didn't settle down in your village? SE poverty capital of the South? You are a myopic fellow that has not travelled out of his comfort zone. If you know what could be achieved had Tinubu not pressed Lagos down by the neck. Lagos can be better. Always demand for the best at all times. |
