You must be on another cloud if you think I am remotely happy. Getting a result that is inconsequential on the last day has become a tradition.

Rubbish!!!!

That being said Auba needs 1 more.

Underwhelming season for Arsenal.
Arteta haven't done anything special and I wonder if he is the answer to our problems.

Spurs was 14th when Mourinho was appointed, they have finished above us in 6th while winning us along the way too.
If we don't get rid of the likes of Willock and spend big in an attacking midfielder and hopefully a real explosive left winger and DM we will struggle again next season for sure and will likely finish midtable again.
Arteta is so far not an improvement on Emery, the table doesn't lie, Emery left us in midtable and we still finished midtable. One step back, two step backwards, that's Arsenal for you.

I predict Arteta getting outwitted by Lampard in the FA cup final.

Well well well

8th it is.

The hype around the fa cup as usual.

Been a season of ups and downs. Its now left to that kroenke to drop needed funds for what will bolster the squad.

Personally, i feel we shouldn't be in any European competition. Yes!!

Even if we win Chelsea.

A 3rd, 4th try at europa? Better to just focus domestic and get that top 4 deal rather. Just that we gonna lose key players and the ceo is a Dumbledore for that matter.

2nd attempt on Partey is already an insult in asking price. Lol

Trust me when I say understand your frustrations, I really do and they are legitimate.

However, comparing an experienced head like Mou to Arteta is really unfair. More importantly, Mou had the January transfer to improve his roster. He brought in Gedson, Lo Celso and S. Bergwijn with the latter 2 playing integral roles in the push for UEL spots and finishing 6th.

Arteta needs support from everyone especially the board in terms of financial support to revamp this team. Some aspects have improved like discipline but I think there is still a lot to do with changing the fragile mentality of this team.

Arsenal has lost 15 points from winning position since Arteta took over..
If you add 12 points to our tally, we would have been on 3rd.
Arterta needs to do his home work very well before next season, I'm afraid honey moon is over and pressure from fans can break him and his fragile team further.

Whether he stays or goes is immaterial.
We are not doing well with him.
He can go if selling him can fetch decent money for reinvestment especially if he is not renewing his contract.

So basically, Arteta is doing apprentice job with Arsenal cry

I don't see Arteta doing better even with few more buys.
Kroenke definitely isn't going to spend big, and Arteta isn't looking special .
So I fully expect another underwhelming season incoming.

These are really depressing times for Arsenal. We fully deserve this because we allowed Wenger stay here past his sell by date.

That's really shambolic. The loss to Chelsea in a match we were winning 1-0 up to 75mins pained me the most, same with the Tottenham game that we conceded immediately we scored and then went on to lose the match.
We gave away too many cheap points from winning positions.
Our midfield cannot retain ball and manage game. They also have no goal in them. The defense is nonexistent. The likes of Holding, Chambers, Luiz, Sokratis are all Championship standard.
We don't create enough chances. I heard we are 13th on EPL this season, based on goal scoring chances created.
Our problem is too complex and we don't have the money to go out once in transfer market and fix them.

Your concerns are genuine but I think you are being totally hard on the manager.

Honestly in my view, if we take away the effort from Arteta in bringing some stability and direction into the team, we were deteriorating towards relegation. His main achievement for me was to stop that deterioration and give fans something to hope about.

Inheriting such a disjointed team with very poor mentality is not an easy job, then when you consider he himself was on a learning curve you understand the magnitude of the challenge. I will give him 8/10. It will be a 9 if he wins the FA cup. This is something any manager including Mourinho will make noise about.

I sincerely hope he gets the funds and right deals during this TW. Because I believe he has the potentials of becoming a great manager.

What about the points he won from losing positions? Your stats are misleading brother. Or are you trying to defend Emery by bring Arteta down?

Well, yes! I admit I'm being harsh.
But I'm done pampering players and managers in this club. I am angry, sad and frustrated. cry
All those pampering and tolerance of failure, is what brought us to where we currently are.

If Arteta fail to win FA cup. It will be a 4/10 to him from me.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Igboid: 8:59am On Jul 27, 2020
Look at next season. Chelsea is already done with their buys.
Arsenal is waiting for serious teams to finish buying the hot expensive ones, so that we could get the scraps that no one else wanted, and at either cheap or ridiculously inflated prices.
Yet we want to compete.

4 is if he started the season and had his own transfers. You can't judge someone who came in just to stop a rut. Arsenal's last match before his appointment was a 3-0 thrashing by City. Same City he beat to reach the finals. Now what will you score him if he wins the FA cup?

Szobolai
Joelson
The espanyol guy
Marlang Sarr

Just checked some stats, Arteta won 33pts since he took over at mid season, that's 10pts more than what he was given to start with. 33pts on both halves of the season would make us finish 3rd.

And I don't understand why Fhalifa and co are fighting each other here over useless players and managers that have failed all of us.
You guys should stop it already.
We are all hurting, and all these guys, the players and coaches, including Kroenke caused it.

None of them came through for us when it mattered most.

Auba miss important sitters. Remember the miss at Wembley last season, he missed against Tottenham again this season . Xhaka is mid table standard. Guedouzi is championship standard, Torreira is not good enough. Lacazette is midtable. Leno basically gave Chelsea their equalizer at Emirates with a bizzare howler, before his injury, he was joint top on goal leading errors with De gea.
Emery is not good enough, Arteta is not glittering either.

So why are you guys siding and killing yourselves over bunch of failures and disappointments? I watch you guys from sidelines and shake my head.
