DexterousOne: Everyone on the planet today has an ancestor who lived through at least one horrific experience. Granted some events can be objectively typified as worse than others, but they're all awful. There is not a major civilization in the history of the world that did not have a slave population. Heck, our very own Bini King was routinely buried with the heads of 2,000 slaves. These slaves were not Caucasian, Asian, or Semites. They were black African POWs from rival or conquered neighboring societies. We didn't just capture and sell slaves to the Americans and Europeans, we sent them to the Levant and even Ethiopians. Rick black Africans who went on Hajj routinely bought Arab slaves. In fact, the Arab Slave Trade is estimated to have trafficked up to 15 million black Africans over 1000 years. Only 300,000 of those ended in America over a period of 250 years. Of the millions who were sent to the Middle East, most of the males had their balls chopped or otherwise castrated in some way in the Maghreb before they were forwarded. They worked until their death and that was it. No Jim Crow, No War on Drugs, no Voter Suppression... That's how the Semites cynically avoided all the future abolition, revolt possibility, civil rights, and black lives matter civil disturbances. Can't protest if you don't exist... 7 Likes |

DexterousOne: ...Are we to talk about discrimination? That's inherently human. That's why homo sapiens are the only hominids today. We helped nature take care of every last living hominid relative. And when they were gone, we turned on ourselves. So if you look back far enough, there is absolutely nothing unique about the African American experience. That's why I consider using that experience as justification for falling behind in virtually every facet an excuse. And the most indomitable proofs are Haiti, every black-dominated country in the Caribbean, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Haiti led a successful revolt and was established in 1804. Almost 160 years before we got Independence. That place is a worse sh*thole than Nigeria. No Jim Crow. No Voter Suppression. No white-on-black discrimination, police brutality, or lynching. Starting in 1824, the American Colonization Society paid transportation for 6,000 free blacks in America to emigrate to Haiti. It was a resounding failure. Most of them returned back to the US. Yes, they willingly chose to return back to the whites in the US who discriminated against them than live with the free blacks in Haiti. Over here in Liberia and Sierra Leone, I don't have to say much do I? Even with our problems, we had to mobilize soldiers to stop them from massacring each other. Would you also use Jim Crow, police brutality, and white-on-black discrimination as justifications? The African Americans in Liberia formed an elite called the Americo-Liberians and discriminated against the indigenous black people who made up 90+% of the population. Holding on to political and economic power to this day. Where else did that happen in Africa? Oh I know, South Africa. When did Liberia get independence? 1847. One hundred years before us. Like Haiti, Liberia is a worse sh*thole than Nigeria. So when folks chat about the Europeans or Americans like they're a special kind of monsters, I have a hard time reconciling that with history or accounts of what black Africans have actually done and are capable of... 20 Likes 2 Shares |

LordAdam16:Where in my posts did I allude to this? The Crux of my point is that there are certain conditions that have happened and still happening that have contributed in no small measure to the conditions faced by African Americans today And that while anyone is quick to cast aspersions on them They should also consider other factors and their experience Like I always do I point out That the black south Africans and the black Americans have so much in common When you consider their experience |

DexterousOne: ...It's not about being a "right-wing black." There's a reason why Ethiopians did not form a bulk of enslaved Black people, why Ethiopia was never colonized in all of history, why they never tried to conquer south deep into sub-Saharan Africa instead preferring to conquer into the Arabian Peninsula at the height of their powers, and why to this day their people in the diaspora subconsciously like to keep their distance from other black Africans. Ethiopians are blacks. Like the rest of us. Yes, African Americans had it bad. But so did every ethnicity in the Middle East, so did the Egyptians, the black Nubians (modern day Sudan), so did the British at the hands of the Romans and Vikings, so did the French, Germans, Chinese, Koreans, Indians at the hands of the Muslim conquerors, South Americans at the hands of the Spanish, Javanese (and other Indonesians) at the hands of the Dutch, every ethnicity in Eastern and Central Europe at the hands of fellow Europeans and Islamic expansionists, Iberians at the hands of the Moors. 300,000+ black Africans were taken to the US as slaves. Japan lost at least that many in two days when the US dropped Little Man and Fat Boy in WW2. If Emperor Hirohito hadn't surrendered, the Yanks were preparing to drop 4 more nuclear bombs with estimated death toll of additional 500,000 people at the minimum. Even us here had to deal with our own crap. Everybody has their own story. Everyone else is picking themselves up, dusting themselves, and seeing to it that they leave a sound economic, cultural, structural standing for their descendants; meanwhile the AAs are all too satisfied smoking weed, selling crack, wearing Yeezy's, killing themselves in the projects and trying to convince the rest of the world that they had the worst. Yea, we f*cking get it. Here's an idea: How about you beat the odds and earn the respect you so desperately seek. I'm sick of hearing Chinese miracle, Dubai miracle, Asian Tigers; I want to hear and read about an African [American] miracle. If US no favor you and you fil say e get where beta for a black man, you have one of the strongest passports; pack your bags and pursue economic excellence elsewhere. Let us see how the Chinese, Indians, Arabs, Asians, South Americans, Europeans with the EU-citizens-first practice, even us Africans here will accommodate your whiny a$$. If e too much, demand for the Israel treatment. Don't worry, we'd donate land. Land boku for Africa. Come here so we all can see the miracles you'd perform that'd be different than Haiti, Jamaica, Liberia, and other terrible examples too numerous to mention. Since it's the white man that's responsible for all your problems. -Lord 24 Likes 3 Shares |

LordAdam16: Even the Jews were enslaved. Could not own property in medieval Europe, were subjected to all kinds of taxation, were segregated and forbidden from mixing with the general populace, suffered Holocaust yet still broke free. From their story of not being allowed to own landed property, I learnt that real wealth is portable (skills and knowledge based). Thus they became skilled tradesmen, financiers etc, which helped them as they left Europe for the new world. They usually call themselves people of the book. So our American brothers will do well to take education seriously, drawing lessons from the Jewish phenomenon. 7 Likes 1 Share |

There is no other ethnic group that has been under the psychological warfare that the black Americans have been for that long (400 years plus and still counting) Not Jews Not the Japanese Nobody Those who crafted the racist american system from ab initio never created the country for black man to benefit from it. It wasnt the design We were meant to be the firewood that will burn out to cook the food, not being one who will sit on the table to partake of the eating And those who crafted, and the subsequent generations who tried to maintain status quo over the centuries have been comin up with one scheme or the other to destroy the psyche of the black man, to try and force him back to that box where he is supposed to be A black man who is yet to understand that should please do. Jim crow was to psychologically destroy the black man I mean "If separate but equal " was the goal Both black and white areas would have had the same quality of everything dished out But it was not Look at the coup that happened in North Carolina (Wilmington) in the late 1880s or so Becaise black men (who by the way were just set free in 1885 )made so much progress and were elected to run the town There was a coup (yes, you heard me right, a coup) And they were killed or driven away And that was how progress black men would have made Was snuffed out Look at what happened to black wall street in 1920s By design black men are not suppose to have self run and well maintained community of affluent and well educated people What happened to that as well.. Burnt down Mass murder And government complicity What happened in Florida as well The same thing When Abraham Lincoln signed off a portion where African Americans can get land and a mule to start life Abraham Lincoln was killed Idiot Andrew Johnson took over Rolled back the policy And evicted the African Americans who were already allocated land in the Goergia/ Florida corridor So what are we saying ? When you spend decades of your existence fighting for civil rights When other groups are busy working and building themselves By the time civil rights came (Which by the way is not too long ago, 1965) The others are already ahead of you Then shortly after The war on drugs, mass incarceration, prison industrial complex off shoring and the list goes on (Not to talk of the red lining you suffered and still suffer till this day) Now its police brutality It's very clear that elements in the US crave to push blaxk folks back to being the "firewood " as it was originally designed And chief among those are those who voted the current idiot white Supremacist who occupies the White House So when you criticise African Americans Have all these in mind as well 3 Likes |

DexterousOne: And I'm saying everyone can make that argument. The Japanese can. The Chinese can. The British, French, German, Emiratis, Singaporeans, Greeks, Koreans, Persians... Yet that did not stop them from rising from their lows and changing their story. No one has it easy. Everyone faces unique challenges. It is possible to both march valiantly into the future and remember your past. Personally, I think the AAs will outgrow this victimhood they exhibit. The civil rights movement is like 2-3 generations back. On a logarithmic scale, it's not that long ago. But what I can't accept is this "our case is different" schtick. Uhm, it's not. We've all had our own grisly experiences; and if everyone decided to kick it back, smoke weed, and brood; this world will be very different. It'll be a perpetual war zone, because everybody get scores to settle. So pick yourself up and surmount your challenges. That's what the rest of us are doing. If however you want to scream, yell, invent and reveal excuses, do that to those willing to listen to you. The rest of us are too busy with our own sh*t! And pray the Caucasian Americans retain their hegemony forever; because when that inevitably ends, e go shock you as the world go reset. There is no such thing as an Asian, Arab, or African guilt. -Lord 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Part of the psychological torture was to keep the Confederate flag flying (which should be treasonous btw) keeping those Confederate statues in the city squares and all that Not to tall of naming American military bases after traitor Confederate generals And The racist in the White House is fighting to keep the status quo instead of aligning with the masses to dismantle all these It has been centuries of psychological warfare Physical abuse And systemic racism (which btw still continues) Other groups got their reparations (Japanese and the Jews for example) Blacks got nothing But that's fine Topic for another day America fine, is a great country But it has an ugly underbelly As we can all see. I think we have exhaustively talked about the system role in messing up the AAs Are the AA blameless? The answer is NO! My next post is going to be what the AAs role in the messing up of their community has been Like what role did they play in the current predicament they are in (tho I believe that the systemic racism and oppression is the biggest factor, the AAs themselves have their own fair share of blame) But this one is subject to request As I no wan full here with plenty talk If a few of us are interested Pls signify or notify If not We let it rest |

LordAdam16: You are very right Eventually After acknowledging all the points I have made Your own point is the "what next phase?" I get you Yes indeed work has to be done by the AAs themselves to redeem themselves There are three categories of blacks in general The DENIALS that is the ones who deny the effects or the existence of the problems that beset blacks The DWELLERS which are those who rightly so acknowledge the difficulties and the oppression and all that Then choose to just dwell or wallow in that box And the ACKNOWLEDGERS Those who acknowledge the bad effects of all the things that have happened and then put in the work towards seeing what they can do to remedy the situations I dont like the Deniers and the DWELLERS 1 Like |

We like to run down the black populations in the US, the black population in the UK (a large proportion of Caribbean origin, to whom the trope of loafing, weed-smoking picanninies is applied) as well as our South African brethren, out of some perceived "laziness" in their character. Quick one - what is the common denominator among African Americans, black South Africans and large tracts of the Caribbean countries that could be responsible for such "laziness"? What about Afro-Brazilians, there are high levels of poverty and severe inequalities among their group, despite them making up almost half of the population. Are they also lazy too or is this unrelated to the historic conditions to which they were subjected and the poverty in which they started their lives as free citizens? For those who say that the marginalisation and institutional poverty (and in the case of the US, state-sponsored violence) can be easily overcome, ask yourselves why almost 60% of persons of whatever "race" imprisoned for drug or violent crime offences outside crimes of passion (the so-called general crimes of poverty) had a pre-incarceration income within the poverty range. Ask yourselves why sociologists speak of a poverty-to-prison pipeline. Basically, down here in Nigeria, we generally tend to think like Americans, and feel that society owes nothing to the people and that people should hoist themselves up as they can, forgetting that there is a reason why more progressive (and better) societies implement and pay for socialism. 2 Likes |

LordAdam16: And btw The era of :caucasian hegemony as you put it is almost done. It is standing on its last legs The days are numbered White supremacy /privilege/dominance will evaporate as the decades go by America will be a better country for it I look forward to that day when that cloud is finally dispersed by the sunlight And there will be no such thing as a reset tho Except you are assuming that America will be a third world country once white hegemony falls apart. Maybe you should explain what you mean by the reset |

@LordAdam16 is saying in summary about African Americans "Your forefathers were enslaved/abused. You were/are abused. We get it. We have all been abused. You are not that special. Get over it and move on." @DexterousOne in summary is saying "That others were abused does not invalidate my pain". " I am locked inside my mind" "I can't break free" "Don't minimize my pain". Phraences: I don't think he subscribes to the bolded. I don't. But yes, the black man's abusers still abuse them, and still violently too. We don't need to mention George Floyd, Eric Garner or other murdered people. Then take discrimination in education. Property taxes pay for public schools. Hence, if you live in a working class area (think Ajegunle), where property prices are low, you get lousy schools. And then substandard education with poor student outcomes. Lousy education generally translates to poor earning power. So the minorities who started off poor in the first place are less likely to get a good education than European Americans. And so on. You earn less, you find it more difficult to break the cycle of poverty. And we are here blaming a whole group of people for their "laziness". 3 Likes |
