Terminalbond:Ur salary/job ties is one very important factor. Kindly do not rule it out while bringing 5000 pounds to the fore. U have a good chance of not getting a visit visa because your circumstances of having a pregnant fiancé over there is likely to be seen as a way for you not to come back to Nigeria. U can get a good job with a better paying salary which would show as ur tie to nigeria and also if u have other family members or assets, properties and investments that would front to the ECO that you would return |

mimilyrics: Oggg:i appreciate your responses a lot, in my opinion my major disadvantage is that my salary is not high enough, ive been at my current work place for over 6 months now, though i have requested a letter from my employer as evidence/proof of employment. i currently dont have assets, i was thinking about submitting my rent agreement which i renewed last month as proof that i will return. i would love to know how family members can be proof to the ECO that i would return. i've also asked my fiance mother for a letter as well, should it be emphasized in that letter as i would staying at her residence. thanks |

It wasn't stated in my checklist
You will have to do a DNA test to show you are a blood relative.
|
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 7:32pm On Jul 27, 2020 |
Terminalbond:Submit any evidence you have to show you have siblings and parents that will be in Nigeria tht you cnt abandon eg international passport, work id cards, school id cards, student cards, business id cards, pictures and any other real time evidence to show that u will return because your whole family is in Nigeria But keep in mind, that since it’s your child and fiancé we are talking about here, eco might not be totally convinced as you can as well abandon these other people as they are now ‘extended family’ You must prove beyond reasonable doubt that you will return, your chances are slim for VISIT VISA UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES YOU MENTIONED. U have new family outside, why would you leave them? Your job history is 6 months Little pay as u mentioned Why will u return? Pls look at the big picture How are u planning to sponsor your trip? 1 Like |

Hello guys. Is anyone else having issues booking an appointment or finding appointment slots? I can’t seem to find any dates at all for the rest of the year. Location of choice is Ikeja , Lagos. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Rheminix(m): 8:06pm On Jul 27, 2020 |
Brightingsus:wow!! All d slots are taken, people have been booking since oo. You are just booking now. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 8:10pm On Jul 27, 2020 |
Rheminix: You mean, all the slots this year are taken? You know that for a fact or based on what I said? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Terminalbond(m): 8:12pm On Jul 27, 2020 |
giselle237: Alright can i draft a seperate letter to explain all these, also my fiancé would be returning to Nigeria and has a flight to arrive in Nigeria by November and leave by May next year, could I attach that as proof that I will be In Nigeria. Do I also need to attach my own personal booking? And does my rental contract with my landlord not serve as proof that I’ll be returning back. I just paid my house rent in June and it’s valid for another rear. I will be sponsoring my trip with 700k and I want to use my fiancé and her mother as sponsors since they will be accommodating and feeding me. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 8:24pm On Jul 27, 2020 |
Terminalbond: U can add all you stated, yes they would help but they can’t foretell that you would return... just find stronger ties. Eco can also say since she is returning in November, why can’t you wait for them to come to Nigeria as she already has flight booking... pls think how these ppl think The 700k you plan on using, ideally before the lockdown applicants were considered safe when their budget didn’t exceed times 2 of their disposable income. Disposable income = salary - monthly expenses So how did you come about 700k as ur budget and how did you make this money... there must be paper evidence of how any money you plan on spending on your trip was made by you. Paper evidence 2 Likes |

Does anyone know if a B.sc is required to get a UK Minister of Religion Visa? I have a family friend who has asked for my advise to confirm as they've been offered a job and to be issued with a Certificate of Sponsorship to be the sole worship leader for a church in the UK, but his only major qualification is NCE and he has been the worship leader for a Nigerian church for over 10 years. I have checked on the Gov.uk website but nothing significant about educational qualification, so want to ask my nairaland family. Anyone with experience of Minister of Religion visa, please kindly advise further. Thank you. |

Vicas2000: He only needs to sit for IELTS exams and score 5.5 in each band. If he has BSc he would have used it to claim 10points for English language proficiency. Did he has PASTORAL qualification? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Celomomo: 11:24pm On Jul 27, 2020 |
Yes! I did self service. And there was no slot for almost an hour that I kept checking but I kept refreshing till I found one. Yo can check from 12 am and see what happens. Just keep checking. Slots are reserved for 20 minutes and released when the slot is not paid for. So you may want to keep refreshing. Brightingsus: |
