Guys see Wetin a guy did in my car this evening. He vomited inside and messed up everywhere. He apparently took too much of free drink and pepper soup at his friend's house. We were on uber trip. What do you suggest? Rider not ready to pay for cleaning. Uber indicated a receipt for such in their app. My car is smelling of alcohol and pepper soup that he vomitted. He is even saying he didn't have money for the trip. I have taken the car to car wash. Got receipt and sent details to Uber. 1 Like |

I know what Bolt is trying to do. They see that all other means of transportation are increasing their fees. Danfos, train, and every other transport blah blah blah, they are increasing. This means that people will choose to be comfortable to take Bolt because it's a slight difference in transportation fare. They did not think about the number of people cars on this bolt can carry and it's not a carry and drop thing or junction to junction thing. Moreover, even if there are millions of requests, traffic will never allow you to do enough for a day. We never talk of those touts calling themselves law enforcement idiots. It's bad 5 Likes |

pope191: Spot on my friend, you really nailed it.However, most drivers are only about the next trip, money in the pocket, rental/hp fees and food on the table. They feel they don't have a choice but to keep slaving and living in the Utopia of being their own bosses and in control of their hustle 1 Like |

jaymejate: I don't think bolt proposed penetrative pricing strategy is entirely a bad idea on itself. IMHO!! Uber did that some years back and it was able to get more people to catch the e hailing drift at the time cos many saw e hailing as an expensive transport option until prices came down and more people got into the bucket .Prices would gradually be increased without riders knowing. It makes absolutely know sense queing to pay 1 k per head from say agbado ijaiye to Oshodi in a rickety bus while 3 of us can ride share an e-cab for about same amount with all the comfort, safety and security that goes with it. More rides means more money whichever way you see it,it's all about volume,IMHO!! I am pretty certain there will be incentives for drivers in form of bonuses to make up for the differential. And those shouting Uber is the next bae, Uber reduced fares back then and never reduced commissions and heaven did not fall and I am not sure it would anytime soon 3 Likes 1 Share |

Bolt is not thinking of drivers @ all. . How on Earth do you think of slashing fares.... Will the mechanics / spare parts dealer/ petrol station/ vulcaniser/ AC technicians slash their rates? You are not talking of reducing commission. Employing manipulative tactics to outwit d thought process of the regular driver. 1 Like |

deedee44: In Nigeria, there are no pure competition. What we have is colluding competitors. This is the reason you see people asking if Airtel and Mtn which is cheaper? When you juxtapose the two companies, you will see that both are same. This is applicable to our banks too. The customers (in this case, the drivers) are the grass. 2 Likes |

Mjosh1000:. With the current inflation in the economy Bolt still want to reduce price. I don't think this is a good move. Prices of things are going up on daily basis. Car parts are freaking expensive right now due to foreign exchange, even BRT public transport, is stepping up their fare by 46% due to the current situation of things on ground. This ain't a good initiative on a 20% commission. I believe there are better incentives they can introduce to attract customers rather than crashing price again. This is will surely affect driver partners no doubt 1 Like |
