1. Photocopy of local government identification letter (also go with the original)
2. Photocopy of Birth certificate or age declaration in court (also go with original).
3. Photocopy of NIN slip
4. 2 passport
5. One passport of guarantor
6. Photocopy of guarantor's NIN slip or card or driver's license
7. Photocopy of guarantor's international passport
8. All the 3 printouts from the internet.

That's all

For your local government identification, just go to your local government headquarters and request for it.
The 3 printouts are payment acknowledgment slip, guarantor's form and and application form.
Don't forget to notarize the guarantor's form in court. There's usually where to do this in immigration offices.

It doesn't really have to be. If you know anyone in your local government, he/she can guide you well. They might need some passports photographs there.

I will have to pay 15k and apply for a change of DOB which may take 3 months to be effected.

I need to start the process now before something urgent that will require international passport comes up.

Servicom officers at NIS said I have one year from date of payment to come back for capture

They are currently operating skeletal services. They open between 9am-12noon. I was there today to do a reprint of my slip. Please go before 11:30am. I was there by 11:45am and I was told they had close for the day. I had to plead with the guy there before I was attended to.

I was there yesterday and they said they only print slip and doesn't do modification of age for now cuz of covid except unofficially which attracts extra 30k+15k for official payment. If not that I have already made payment for epassport, I would just go to immigration office at festac and do ordinary standard passport that doesn't require NIN.

If they don't open next month, I may just go for standard passport that doesn't require NIN

I am not sure why you need a guarantor for passport renewal.

If your wife wants to renew her passport, she only needs to go with her NIN nd her old passport.

Nd why they ask applicants to come with old passports is that, they only want to know if the applicant truly has the old passport with her nd see if she has 6 months left before they can renew it.

They would take photocopy of her NIN nd return it back with her passport immediately.
You are not advice to keep any of those credentials with any officials.

I was able to renewed my international passport on 17 of July 2020 at abuja Immigration office nd fortunately for me, my passport came out the same day I captured.

I did the 10 years passport for #80,000.

I only went with my NIN nd my old passport.

I hope this information is helpful.

I guess you have paid for your passport already and you have chosen ikeja passport office. NIMC office located inside ikoyi passport office is fully operational and i doubt if they are as corrupt as those criminals in ikeja

No it’s not possible without NIN.

My renewed passport carried NIN on my passport data page.

You should confirm by yourself if truly NIN offices are closed.

Thanks for all the info. So i made my payment online and printed all required document. The site schedule me to go Aug 4. I want to ask if i will be captured that day or i have to take my document to the NIS office before then.

secondly i am not travelling any time soon(not this year for now) so will my guarantor have to fill in the part II saying (To be completed by applicants proceeding overseas?).

After selecting option for passport renewal, I can only see standard e-passport as an option and nothing like enhanced passport there. However, while filling the form, there is space for inputing NIN. Please, am I on the right track? I'm using Ikoyi office.

If you choose the enhanced passports (costing ₦25,000 for 5yrs 32pages, ₦35,000 for 5yrs 64pages or ₦70,000 for 10yrs 64pages. There is about ₦2800 additional fee for each) you need a NIN, which you will see on the passport data page when you get one.

You don't need a NIN if you choose the standard e-passport. You get the choice of standard or enhanced before making payment and this depends on your choice of application processing (capturing) centre (e.g Ikoyi versus Alausa for Lagos).

Asaba is fast but you might not have the option of getting the enhanced passport there. I don't think the type of passport matters except you want new technology and 10yrs validity.
