They are a team that review "your registered names".
While SH internal team review unregistered names.

I think by default external team review ur registered names, u don't have to request. If they don't, u can contact support to enable it

This post is a quick tip on how to pick and research GEOs. My bosses can also add theirs too.

Picking names from ED:

Right from when I first stumbled on this thread, I have been keeping records of all the reported sales.
Now take note of all the keywords that have been selling e.g web, floor, lawyer, dentist, roof, rental, limo, service, etc. Head over to ED, under "contains" insert your keywords (maximum 30 keywords). Other filters are common to us all.

Researching names:

This has not been easy for any serious domainer. This is my own little trick.
Firstly, since I keep record of people's sales, I am kind of familiar with keywords that can sale.

1. Copy a name you feel is nice. Say, garagedoorrepairkaty/com do a Google search in this format, garage door repair katy.com
Now ur goals are to check how many end-users or companies are running this business. Are they using any of the keywords in their domain or website tittle? How many are using low quality domains like, hyphenated names, longer names, numerical names, lower extensions etc.
Please do a Google search with this domain I sold for $799, garagedoorrepairkaty/com

2. You can also do a Bing/com search or Google map search (map.Google.Com) if you are not satisfied with (1).

3. Try web.archive.org to see what the domain was previously used for. That is, If a genuine business was running with the name.

4. I do use hosterstats.com to know how the domain has been moving from 1 hand to another. How old it it. Whether it was listed for sale before or if this is the first time it's dropping.


Now keep this in mind with GEOs.
1. You need more names to keep the sales flowing.
2. Always outbound and do multiple follow up.
3. Try to buy what I call "must have names" for end-users e.g garagedoorrepairkaty/com These are names that can,
I. Add value to an existing business.
II. They can upgrade immediately to.

4. Buy names with many competitions. Not the competition on ED, the one you noticed while doing your Google search. You will notice end-users are fighting for your keywords, as a result some use bad names. Also almost all the first 5 pages of Google have listed the business according to your keywords in that location.

5. I don't really look at search volume, competition and cpc on ED. I am always after, "how many end-users are there".

6. While doing the Google search, you will notice which keywords is commonly used. E.g between "dog training", "dog walking" "dog Grooming" "dog sitting" etc. Try to go for the one that is commonly used in that location of your domain.

7. Though you are bound to register bad names sometimes, but keep practicing even if you don't have money to buy. Just watchlist them for experiment.
There are exceptions to most of what I wrote in this post. You know some domain sales are just mind blowing.

But what most of us follow as a pattern is something like below:
katy//garage//door//repair.com

Does that mean may be because of English language grammar patterns, we look at that pattern or end user prefer that pattern to the said above. Just thinking aloud cos am looking at it both ways from SEO direction...( anyway na grace always win ooo)

3. Follow up: don't relent on following up, but do it wisely so it won't be spam, maybe twice every month (depending on how many domains u have to Outbound).

Geo names constitute about 60 to 75% of my sales. They are a good investment if you know which cities and keywords work. Here are a list of keywords that, in my experience, are very hot sellers.
City + Roofing City + Plumbing, Plumber(s) City + Photographer(s) City + Dentist City + Flowers City + PestControl City + Bikes
Now, to be clear, the value of the name will depend on what city we are talking about. I have sold many names with the keywords listed, with US cities. I usually focus on cities with at least a 200K population. Once in a while sell smaller cities names. Your pricing will also impact how fast you sell the domain or if you ever sell it. If you happen to register TampaPlumber.com and price it at a few thousand, I doubt you will be able to sell it. You might have to sit on that name for years. Now, if you price it under $500, it would have a very high probability of selling if you offer it to end-users.
