My people I hail oo.. Pls I have a very important question. Do VO's verify employment? I already have a number of PGD admissions into various colleges in Canada. I plan to apply for my trv soon. I have a family friend who owns a private business which is related to what i studied and I want the guy to give me an employment letter from his company, a letter of introduction and also a study leave letter (which will serve as my home tie) Pls note that I don't actually work there. Also how would I go about it interms of payslips or which other way can I solidly prove that I work for him without raising any suspicions..pls gurus in the house, help out 1 Like |

Nellyoo:I was already contemplating this. But what I am requesting for is just Employment letter but I need to study first. Cause for home ties, I'm still cracking my head on what to do. I'm almost ready for SP application. Please the Gurus in the house, how una see this thing. How can we build a strong tie home? I'm not married, not even girlfriend sef. |

Nellyoo: Getting payslip is easy bros, just get someone who is very good at Corel draw he would help you out in making a payslip, also note that payslip carries an ID card number [in order words your friend should issue you an ID from his company: this can also be made]. You would also be submitting a scanned copy of the ID when applying], also in claiming a payslip it means you have a particular amount your friend pays you as salary, now the tricky part is that the amount you claim to be paid has to reflect in your bank statement[ you can’t claim to be paid a particular amount as salary and it’s not reflecting in your bank statements] if I was the VO I would know it’s a lie. My advice take your time don’t rush, which ever amount you would be claiming as salary pay it every month at a particular date, send the money to your friend and he should pay it to you through the company’s account carrying that company’s name. Do this for at least 4months reason been that the embassy requires at least 4months bank statement of account from you when applying. My advice do not rush this take your time and do this properly. Also let your payslip show there is tax deduction every month from that salary you are been paid. Also on the payslip let the date tally with the date your friend pays the salary to your account. Highlight the date of your salary payment in your bank statement and in your sop or LOE draw the VO’s attention to it. Hope this helps 6 Likes 1 Share |

NairaLuck: Bro just employment letter no Go suffice at all you would need an ID card also, payslip, also study leave letter not just employment letter, if possible also the salary account statement of that employment you have. The gurus would buttress better on this. Having a good job is a good home tie, but the pay for that job has to be worth it lets say 300k because if the pay is not tempting the VO would look at it that there is a good chance you would gbe ja [runaway]. A salary of 100k below might not suffice or even 150K just saying the gurus would give a better advice on this. Do you have a house? A land? A car? If you don’t those any of your family member have? Let me not talk on this here. Pm directly would do the best I can to help out. Stay blessed bro 2 Likes |

Can I start my program online? Yes, but with conditions. Anytime a student plans to start their program without a valid study permit, they will need to sign a waiver form that they understand the risks and will not hold TRU liable in case their study permit is refused or they end up getting a shorter Post-graduation work permit. Would it impact my PGWP? Maybe What is the impact on PGWP? Time that you will spend on your program without a valid study permit will not count towards the length of your PGWP. You might get shorter duration of PGWP than you might get if you would have completed your program with visa approval. What if my study permit is refused? You have the option to resubmit your application by taking care of reason of refusal. If you still end up getting your study permit refused, you can either decide to complete your program online (Check with your ISA), however you will not qualify for post graduation work permit. Alternatively, you can stop your program, however there will be no refund for the courses taken. 2 Likes |

kobobay: Hello Kobobay, You may want to use it as a valid means to anchor your arguement based on why Canada became 'that' special education hub for you. The features should not be only limited to education standard but culture and diversity, language, atmosphere etc. All the best 2 Likes |

Heltinking: Hello Heltinking, Going for a 2 year program may be more convenient than a 1 year program. Though both have their own advantage and limitation. Experience gained while on a study permit don't count as a Canadian Experience especially if you aim for PR. All the best 1 Like |

Engager69: Thank you very much for your response.. But I think giving the man money to pay into my account and requesting that he sends it to me Is gonna be a difficult one.. Honestly it's gonna be a whole new level of convincing and explanations and I don't see that coming out positive I already sent another person money and the person has paid it back into my account as salary but since you mentioned that the payment should come from the company(which I said I'm working for) account And should be continuous for at least 3 months, I think this is going to be another problem as I just started payment this month and I really intend to apply for study permit ASAP Pls what else can I used as a home tie? -I am 25, single -Graduated 2018, finished NYSC 2019 ending -Looking to pursue a PDG -I don't have any actual employment, or assets -All the members of my immediate family(siblings and parents) are here in Nigeria - no travel history but no study gap either - my uncle in Canada would be paying my tuition upfront and my elder brother(who is also single with no kids or responsibilities) here in Nigeria will be providing his bank statement with at least 11k CAD as my proof of funds for living expenses - my international passport coincidentally would be expiring at the end of my proposed PGD program - lastly instead requesting for an employment letter as a full staff, can I just ask for letter of employment as a graduate intern (unpaid position) to show I have not been while away time since I finished NYSC last year. Also, the job position is also going to be in relation to what I intend to study for PGD Pls gurus, how would I reasonably prove to a VO that I would be returning to my country. I am very sure a lot of us here are having issues with home ties too Thank you house 3 Likes |

NairaLuck: Hello NairaLuck, I believe your query have been answered. Kindly don't settle for anything less than 10k. If you base in Lag, you may be able to get it done between 3 - 5k. It all depends on your Lamba or FMT. All the best |

chuksinfotech: Hello Chuksinfotech, Don't use organizational sponsorship rather speak to your Director to act as the sponsor with his own personal details and records. But on the exception that the organization are willing to avail funds to you prior before the application processing that exceeds the initial 500k to an amount sufficiently enough to cover your first year educational expenses (tuition and LE inclusive), then go ahead. All the best |
