I did not read the tonnes of pages I've missed on the thread as such, I do not know the current topic of discuss but I need to say this: I don't want to see Kolasinac starting in an Arsenal shirt either at LB,LCB or LWB come next season. It annoys my soul seeing that guy try to pretend he is a footballer. angry
You are being too harsh in my view.

Kola does not have the energy and tactical nous to sprint up and down the touch line both attacking and defending. But I have seen him do well when assigned a specific job, like marking out a player or playing LWB without much defensive work or just playing on the left side of a back three.

In the first place he is never a first 11 player, he should be coming off the bench for an club as Arsenal. So if we out of poverty of players choose to start him, how is it his fault?
Besides errors are part of football even DDG, as good as he is, is full of errors, talk less of an average dude like Kola.

Baba my post was straightforward na. I said I don't want to see him Starting in an arsenal shirt.

This shows I don't consider him as a starting 11 player. If he should remain at arsenal (due to no top team willing to pay something tangible), then he should be playing carling cup and maybe F.A cup.

We are giving them all the money this summer because our priority should be to refurbish that attack as they are the reason we finished 8th.

Problem is that Kolasinac is on 100k/weeek salary.
You can't afford to pay such amount to a player who is not a solid nailed on starter.

Kola has to go. He is simply not good enough.

Here comes the issue with offloading deadwoods like the body builder Kolasinac. Which team is willing to pay such player 100K/week? The person in charge of negotiations for contracts needs correct flogging!!!

He came as free transfer. That's why his wage is that high.
Sokratis is refusing to take a pay cut to move to Stuggart who wants to buy him. He is choosing to stay at Arsenal and run down his contract.

We have too many championship level players on champions league level wages. That's the problem. We can't sell our dead woods because no one else is,stupid enough to pay them what we are currently paying them.
Our recruitment last decade has been catastrophic.

A free transfer should not excuse/ justfiy such wage especially for a below average and untested player moving to the EPL. We have negotaited very poorly over the last 5 years and now suffering. The Sokratis situation buttresses my point and I don't blame Stuttgart because his wages makes absolutely no sense. If you were Sokratis you go gree leave that kain money? Maga make mistake, no be him fault, consequently, we are stuck with these sort of contracts except we find. That is a big reason our deadwoods are content sitting on the bench and getting paid than getting playing time elsewhere for less.

Kolasinac might be below average now, but he came with the hype of the best LB in bundesliga and made the Bundesliga team of the season that.
The hype was too much and I suspect our scouts were lazy and failed to do their job well.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Roland17(m): 6:51pm On Jul 28, 2020
We don't have to look too far for expensive signings. Our scouts can look at some players from teams that are now relegated.

I have been watching 2 players from Norwich since the start of the season, both are defenders and have been spectacular in my eyes. One is Max Aarons and the other is Ben Godfrey. Max especially is better than Bellerin/ Soares, he will be an upgrade to that RB position in my opinion. We don't have to break the bank to get this kid.

I have seen max in action too, they should sell bellerin and get him then use Soares as back up.
They are relegated so he should come cheap, another player is mings they should stop the upamecano nonsense and get EPL type of defender for cheap sef

This is the point I was making when some of us here were asking why we can't sign Christiano Messi.

This also supports your view in your previous post that we should argue based on our current realities not done fantasy.

I have seen Kodded saying we can make €100m from selling some of the few bright spots in our dark squad forgetting how lean the squad is and that there will be another need arising to replace those players.

As it stands now, just as you have also pointed out, our options are hinged on our scouts and the youth team managers. We must look within just as Chelsea did during their transfer ban, especially to make up our squad players; while our scouts should up their game and fetch us some wonder kid from Albania or San Marino. The likes of Smith Rowe (who has similar movements like KDB interestingly) should be reintegrated.

As for those deadwoods, it's either we beg them to leave, send them on permanent loan, or just patiently wait till their contracts are over. Because, I don't see any right thinking club that will part with cash under this Coro era to sign those players even if they are a League 1 club.
AMN can leave since we have bellerin and Soares in RB

guenduozi and torriera can leave since we are going for partey and ceballos

lacazette can leave since nkieta and martinelli can be a decent back up for abuameyang

I don't see any reason why we will lack options because of these guys leaving tho

If we are moving on from Laca without a replacement, you have remember that Martinelli is out until next year, Nketiah is not clinical enough, Auba just turned 31 and while we have been lucky because he has stayed healthy for the most part, you don't want to risk your luck now that he is on the other end of 30. Any injury to him at this age may be devastating for his career longterm.

even if we offload lacazette today, the main priority in our attack will be in bringing in a LW, we can always manage abuameyang and nketiah untill martinelli comes back next year, beside we can also test that balogun kid from our u23 side. I heard that kid looks special also

Shkodran Mustafi

Right hamstring injury sustained during Emirates FA Cup semi-final on July 18. Further assessments during the week identified a significant injury to the right hamstring.

As a result, Shkodran had a successful small procedure to his right hamstring on Saturday.

Shkodran is now in the early stages of his recovery and rehabilitation, receiving specialist attention and support from our medical team.

Aiming to return to full training in October.

That's how they thought Kolasinac was an upgrade on Monreal until they discovered their folly. undecided

Don't even start.

It's amusing how we attack those who make the decisions and then we make even the worse. We don't see the consequences because we are not on their shoes.

The reality is that apart from Guendouzi leaving, your suggestions are not plausible. Though I accept your opinion that the club's transfer policies have been faulty, but let those who are paid to make those decisions correct it themselves.

Rakitic is okay, but Vidal resemble scam. Rakitic can bring some experience, leadership and right mentality plus he is a creative deep play maker.
