JayromWrites: I was being comedic. Because in my experience of you live in a society unless you are excluded by lack of capacity to engage. The you will pick up mannerisms, appreciate some things and have a better understanding of the dynamics socio-economic as well political of the UK. But his understanding and how he conveys ideas makes it very uh difficult to believe he is in JAND. It's not impossible , there are people who have lived in the UK from Somalia for 20 years and cannot speak any English. |

andrewbaba44: We are talking strikers not wingers. And my point is very clear look at the pedigree of Aubmeyang over the past 4/5 seasons played in the Bundesliga. He has NEVER been able to replicate that goal tally of 31 goals in the EPL. Timo Werner is not better than Aubmeyang and why do you think he will come and become the numero 1 in Chelsea and dominate in the EPL. |

Danielnino00: Does a bad run cancel a brilliant run? Rodgers did amazing with Swansea, went to Liverpool and delivered a masterpiece. Had a bad season, does that negate the earlier achievements. Yoh are jjst beinf selective to pick a bad spell out of the quality spells. |

andrewbaba44: Which one is sentimental again. My point is simple. Rodgers is more tactically deep than Mourinho. Mourinho will always park bus when he meets a far superior tactically sound team. Which shows he is not as good as many believe. Finito. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Edopesin: 11:56pm On Jul 28, 2020 |
TheGoodJoe: Asides the fact that I'm a Chelsea fan, Rodgers is no where near Mourinho at all David Moyes is a better coach by far..... Though one is more attack minded than the other but that alone doesn't win trophies, Mourinho plays his tactics well and approaches games with caution while ending up in winning Mourinho would have finished top 4 If he had been in Rodgers shoes towards the end of the season 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: I bet Rodgers wish he had parked the bus against crystal palace at Selhurst park in 2014.. We would have won the league then and Klopp would not have taken the glory... |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Danielnino00(m): 11:59pm On Jul 28, 2020 |
Edopesin: Parking the bus is itself a form of tactical play. Mourinho and Diego Simeone have one of the most conservative style of play in football but they have managed to use it to outwit bigger teams and win trophies.. It seems like Thegoodjoe definition of "tactical genius" is knowing how to play attacking football! 6 Likes 1 Share |

Danielnino00: Parking the bus is more of strategy than tactics. That is where you guys miss it. It is accepting the opponent's superiority and looking for an alternative to win against a better opponent. 1 Like |

charlesemeka85: Being in a top league does not automatically make you a top player. You can be anonymous and almost a spectator. I would rather have the most outstanding consistent players in the Championship than a players in a moi moi team in La Liga who has done nothing and will do nothing. Eze, Tega and Ovie are outstanding players in thier league. You could add Iorfa and Adarabioyo to that list in the context of defence. And on the wing we have Osayi coming in to stake a claim. Finally, Scottish Premiership league may have a low rating. however the club Rangers has a much much higher rating than Huesca in European club ratings. If you have the time look at the players and value of Sunderland and Hulls players and compare to Huesca and you will see gap that will suprise. And these are essential league one clubs now. 1 Like 1 Share |

Danielnino00: When Simeone tried to play an offensive brand of football, he got River Plate, the Barcelona of Argentine football relegated. It is difficult to coach in an offensive pattern. |

charlesemeka85: Plenty time deh and a lot of Maradona moves before he will decide where to go. That's the first price offer, somebody may come in much higher. Let's watch the drama play out, Eze is now very very hot property. And some people will say he is not good enough for the SE. |

Yes a bad season negates previous good seasons(not fully). It gives one a reason to rethink the opinion that you are the real deal. TheGoodJoe: |

mank1234: Agreed. However, talent and quality are not constants but variables that change upwards and or downwards depending what is invested. These French pkayers come to French league one clubs direct from their local leagues in Francophone countries. They immediately get the better training and development and begin to improve. Before our local league players navigate the crooked agents, and all the other issues from Nigeria to European league football, thier youth is already expired. Irrespective of what official age is on thier passport. Finally they sometimes start at the most backward league in Europe and take years to get to a better league. |

Swansealona But with more than a quarter of the season gone, Rodgers's players now sit 10th in the table. Since that Arsenal game they have not only achieved results but in some style. Last weekend they were applauded off the pitch at Anfield by Liverpool's own fans, impressed by the way Swansea had gained a 0-0 draw while, by some observers' reckoning, out-passing their more illustrious opponents. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2060748/amp/How-Brendan-Rodgers-turned-Swansea-talk-Premier-League.html Rodgers was able to coach a small team to the point they met a far superior side and not park bus but outplayed the superior side. This is my point of the difference. 1 Like |
