Good day house, I would like to know if it is possible to cancel my Visa application and get a refund of my visa fee and also my N11,700 for assisted scanning since I have not gone for the scanning and the biometrics, because I am no longer interested in traveling this year. Lastly, what is the process for the cancellation and refund. Thanks |

Good day house, pls I will like to know if my sponsor who have sent all the necessary documents to UK embassy here since June 16, that's during the lockdown, pls did she need to resend it? Also pls if she doesn't, doesthat means its the exaclt payslip month date she sent to them she will forward to me? Pls have been reading through this thread but was unable to get all documents she's to forward to me to show proof for her invitation. She only sent invitation letter to me. I told her that's not all, due to what I read here by guru's in the house, pls help me with update Also I'm just graduating going on a visit visa, do I need Ielts exam? Thanks for your response |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 4:56pm On Jul 29, 2020 |
OptimisticOne:U don’t need ielts exam for visit visa. U said u just graduated. I am hoping u have a job, education, business or husband/wife or children or assets or property or investments to prove as ties for you to Nigeria so that u can be issued a visa. They want to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt tht you hve something that ties you to Nigeria. If no ties, pls dnt waste ur visa fee. U will also submit ur own documents to establish ur grounds for wanting a visit visa, bank statements, employment letter, introduction letter, house documents, if u are married, marriage certificate, pictures and so on as applicable to your case Tell her to also upload all documents that is yours and hers to your application online after you have booked biometrics appointment 2 Likes |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 6:21pm On Jul 29, 2020 |
OptimisticOne:All the documents you want the visa officer to see, has to be ELECTRONICALLY uploaded to your application. After you have filled your form and paid, you will have access to book an appointment to submit biometrics. After selecting day for biometrics, the documents should then be uploaded to your profile that will at a later date be transferred to the visa officer There are two options for this upload Either you do the upload yourself of your documents OR you take your documents to the VAC for them to help you at a cost to upload your documents. Either of the options is fine, the choice is yours. If u choose to upload the documents yourself, then follow the steps in the attached screenshot 3 Likes 1 Share

Hello house. My bank statement will mature first week of September, can I still make it to UK at least 20th of October for studies after visa interview? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 7:04pm On Jul 29, 2020 |
When you say mature, do you mean your 28-day count? Or do you mean that's when your statement will be ready for the 28-day count? Do you have your CAS already or will you just be getting it in Sept? A bit more details will make it easier to give you the appropriate answer. You can post subsequent questions in the student visa thread below; https://www.nairaland.com/5816163/uk-student-visa-tier-4/176 Sweetkid: |

Thanks @gisele237, I really appreciate, you once stated that been a graduate is not enough reason to convince issuing of visa Pls I decide to put in my marriage ceremony which is still next year January. But I don't know how to go about it Will I need to present our registered date? Will their be need for any documents pls, because we are yet to do it |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 7:54pm On Jul 29, 2020 |
OptimisticOne:Pls note that you are not yet married, so don’t go and state married on the form. If misrepresentation is caught, it’s seriously dealt with. Also January is a bit far, however if u feel there’s any documented proof of a fiance you can provide, go ahead... I don’t know how or if this would help... I mean fiance or future marriage proof.. The situations/proof of ties I know is what I explained earlier |

Hi everyone. Quick question. Can I use a wedding certificate at a magistrate court to process a Tier 2 UK visa? Or is it compulsory to go to Ikoyi registry? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 12:21am On Jul 30, 2020 |
A certificate from any of the courts in Nigeria can be used; it doesn't have to be Ikoyi. ashieduplus: |

You stated that you're a student. What's your source of income? The business for which you're providing the CAC? The balance is good but UKVI will want to see evidence of your regular source of income. More information will enable you to get better and more concise advice. Desmondeloghosa: |

Desmondeloghosa: In addition to what mimilyrics said , collect a letter from your school stating you are currently student and your level and that you will be coming back for your studies. |

Hi everyone. I and my girlfriend are planning to get married in a few weeks. I am hoping to bring her over to the UK on a Tier 2 Dependant Visa. I understand there are requirements to show proof of a genuine relationship. However, we have been dating long distance and I have not been able to see her for a year now. These are the proposed documents I am providing to prove the relationship is genuine: 1. WhatsApp Chat script from January - September 2019 2. WhatsApp Screenshots, especially on special occasions 3. WhatsApp call logs, showing duration (very long calls) 4. Video call screenshots spanning February to September 2019 5. Transferwise statemtents showing money transferred to her over 9 months 6. Pctures on my next trip to Nigeria with both of us and with family 7. Support letter from my pastor and her friend 8. Photos of the birthdays surprise I planned for her, plus screengrabs of the planning of the surprise with her friends 9. Wedding invite, wedding photos, receipts for wedding supplies, cake, hall payment, e.t.c 10. Letter to the rental agancy to add her to our agreement once she arrives 11. Flight ticket to attend the wedding 12. Flight ticket to visit her in December (I fell ill and missed the flight) 13. Marriage certificate (from magistrate court) 14. Cover letter I am adding all this documentation because we do not have pictures of ourselves toghether (long story). It has been a long dostance relationship from the start, but we have kept in constant communication. Do I have averything I need? cc: justwise Lexusgs430 |
