Ifwal:Is it that it's appointments automatically cancels when you exceeds the 6- 8 weeks without an AD |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by fancyto(m): 3:28pm On Jul 28, 2020 |
I don't know how true this is, I heard from a source that once your appointment date interval lapses, which is within 4-6 weeks and you get no visa appointment date you should cancel and rebook. But the big question is will it automatically cancel its self? If it automatically cancel itself and you rebook I think it safe that way. |

fancyto: This is what the embassy said "If you don't receive an appointment confirmation email prior to your mentioned date of the beginning of your studies your registration can no longer be considered. In this case please cancel your registration" |

Please is there anyone who applied to Hochschule Furtwangen University (HFU)? We can connect. I got my admission letter this month. Should I register for visa appointment now even though the embassy is closed? Thanks 1 Like |

GeneviveNnadi: In the middle of all these waiting and uncertainty, one of my major concerns is the exchange rate. Before covid it was hovering around 400 naira to the Euro and it looks like it is currently heading towards 600 with the way things are going. It's crazy! So if you say you want to wait till next year to save up some more, who knows what the rate will be by next year. All in all we can only hope for the best. 3 Likes 1 Share |

For those that had appointment dates prior to the lock down and later got a cancellation mail from the embassy, the second paragraph of that cancellation mail read thus: "As soon as the travel restrictions are lifted you will get a new appointment from the Consulate General. Therefore kindly refrain from appointment request as well as status enquiries." 1. As soon as the travel restrictions are lifted. Up until now, the travel restrictions are yet to be lifted!. 2. Therefore kindly refrain from appointment request as well as status enquiries!. I hope this clears some doubts on here about new appointment dates given by the embassy. |

I told her some people claimed to have received appointment, she said she doesn't know anything about it.. All she know is that the section is still closed. So, you guys claiming you received AD, kindly send us screenshots oo. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I disagree with you on this... His long episode made a lot of sense and he is saying the reality.... What measures are being taking serious here in Nigeria? The face mask campaign wasn't what is worth.... Everyone is wearing face mask on their beared or lower jaw exposing the mouth and nose just not to be harass by the law.... Did that have any effect? Markets and transit are clustered without regards to social distancing nor hacking to any preventive measures... Now reopening of schools and local flight is already here.... The virus is already on ground and increasing on daily bases so what difference would opening international flight make to the situation? In fact... Is other countries that need to short their border to Nigeria because they take proper action judiciously unlike our hypocritical ones because we might put them back in danger Our government is irresponsible and not concern to the need of her citizens so we need to draw their attention to it even though we know they might not care despite that. See US took action against Nigeria to reduce visa application fee or they will increase their and Nigeria burge See Germany despite mention opening of it border to some countries still conduction China and some other countries that close border to Germany that they will be let into Germany if they also open their own border to Germans... That is how government fight for her people Since we already know the government we have, we need to act because they don't think justwise: 3 Likes |

willietex: Bremen is a nice place, you have nothing to worry about. Jobs shouldn't be your worries because there's lots of jobs including a Mercedes-Benz company where students from many cities come to work. Cost of leaving is affordable for a student. 3 Likes |

Hello Everyone, Please I need help regarding this situation. So my wife while not yet married to me, in March 2020 got an Erasmus NOHA+ Scholarship from the EU for a mobility Masters programme in Poland, Germany and The Netherlands for 24months. Given the Covid-19 situation, she will be resuming in Germany. in May, she applied for visa as a single lady. We are now married. Recently she emailed the EU, the Masters Programme Coordinators and her School in Germany to inform them that she just got wedded and that she will like to travel with me (her husband) for the period of her stay and that she has applied for a long term visa for me. Immediately, the EU wrote to the German Embassy with our ref numbers and informed them that my wife's programme commences in September and that we should be attended to despite the close of the visa office. The Embassy responded to the EU saying that they need a confirmation from my wife's school that it is mandatory for her to be in Germany for the study, which was forwarded to the Embassy. Cut the story short... we got an appointment same day 7am and 9am respectively for August 2020. The issue here is that her email for an appointment has more requirement than mine because she is the Awardee. They asked my wife to come with all her documents, blocked account or scholarship documentation from the EU, while mine being her husband did not come with any requirement other than for my passport number must not be incorrect. They didnt even ask me for a blocked account or health insurance, absolutely nothing. By the scholarship, her monthly allowance is 1000 euro and her school is in Bochum, Germany. Please what do you advise that I do on my own part. Do I just go with my wife to the VISA interview just like that? Because my appointment actually didn't ask me for anything, maybe my wife's documentation would suffice for me, I don't know. I need an Advise on how and what to do before mid August 2020 and what are the possible questions I may be faced with at the interview come August Thank you 3 Likes |
