This very move by the Buhari led government is indeed the maximum height of foolishness, gross misconduct and an apogee of gross incompetency. What nonsense! Who told them that those murderous sadist would ever feel remorseful, let alone repent? Damn! May God give you all sense. |

nokatakata: Go read the report that proposed amnesty again. Except you are trying to compare the less number of lives due to militancy to the outrageous number of lives lost to Boko Haram. Most importantly, one live matters so, it was wrong on all grounds but I understand it was a Disarmament, Demobilization, and Remobilization (DDR) project. This one also, is a DDR. We will continue to use this approach and thereby raise more militancy groups. |

Buhari is granting amnesty to Boko haram insurgents through the back door. Was this amnesty program agreed upon by Nigerians and passed into law by our lawmakers? I mean, is amnesty for boko haram constitutional? I could remember Buhari in 2014, or thereabout, arguing that if the Niger Delta militants could be given amnesty why should boko haram insurgents not be given amnesty too? With all the killing of multitude of Nigerian troops fighting insurgency, Buhari is more concerned about his religion.....Religious bigot. |

GboyegaD: Militants were fighting for resource control or maybe development of their region where the oil comes from. What are boko haram and herdsmen fighting for? Boko haram and fulani herdsmen do not deserve any amnesty. |

A clear indication of the foundation and support from this gov't for the age-long terrorism in our nation. May their sponsors perish with them in natural disasters made by the finger of God |

nokatakata: quote author=IMAliyu post=92265842] The difference is Yaradua's worked. BH are an ideologically possessed group you can't reason with. Something this government should have realized after trying by now.[/quote] This really is the issue. Not thinking things through fundamentally. It doesn't truly work whatever way it is. Both had similar ideology (control of whatever form) and none should be excused. The sole aim for Amnesty was just to ensure we maximized crude oil production and raise revenues for some to steal and not necessarily rehabilitation of f the militants. Same is this one as most times, they are as idle as they were before now and may have to resort back to their old ways. |

So when a whole lot of Boko Haram surrendered didn't the federal government and the FBI of Nigeria ask for the whereabout of their headquarters and base so as to put an end to all this buhaha and to wipe away those who are not surrendering At least they should snitch for their freedom if they really surrender |
