Big tech platforms like Facebook and YouTube are taking “draconian measures” against content that does not line up with the narrative of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) when it comes to the Chinese coronavirus, Dr. James Todaro stated during an appearance at Monday’s “White Coat Summit” in the nation’s capital.

The press conference, which was streamed live by Breitbart News and subsequently removed by Facebook after garnering over 17 million views, becoming the top-performing Facebook post in the world Monday afternoon, featured the group America’s Frontline Doctors, whose goal was to address the “widespread misinformation” surrounding the novel coronavirus.

Many of the doctors detailed their own experiences with censorship — from both the board and social media platforms.

“I would say Facebook and YouTube have taken the most draconian measures to silence and censorship people, and this is coming from the CEO of YouTube as well as Mark Zuckerberg saying anything that goes against what the World Health Organization has said is subject to censorship,” Todaro said, emphasizing that the W.H.O. has made a “number of mistakes during this pandemic.”

“They have not been perfect by any means,” the ophthalmology specialist added.

While he identified Twitter as one of the “freest” platforms to “share dialogue, intelligent discussion regarding this information,” he noted that it, too, has “flaws and faults.”

Twitter joined Facebook and Google-owned YouTube in censoring footage from Monday’s press conference, restricting Donald Trump Jr.’s account after he shared the video on the platform. Twitter determined that he violated platform rules “on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.”

“Twitter suspending Don. Jr. for sharing a viral video of medical professionals discussing their views on Hydroxychloroquine is further proof that Big Tech is intent on killing free expression online and is another instance of them committing election interference and to stifle Republican voices,” Trump Jr. spokesman Andrew Surabian said in a statement.

“If it seems like there is an orchestrated attack that’s going on on hydroxychloroquine, it’s because there is,” Dr. Todaro continued on Monday. “When have you ever heard of a medication generating this degree of controversy — a 65-year-old medication that has been [on] the World Health Organization’s safe, essential list of medications for years.”

Dr. Todaro, who received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, also explained that he coauthored the first major document on hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment for coronavirus back in March.

“Since then, there’s been a tremendous amount of censorship on doctors like us and what we’re saying, and a number of us have already been censored,” he continued, revealing that Google removed the document that he coauthored:

Just as much of the country is getting used to wearing face masks in public in an attempt to slow the transmission of COVID-19, Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested an even higher level of protection: goggles.

During in interview on ABC News with Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton, Fauci said that while it's not a widely-recommended practice, the safest thing for people to do is also to cover their eyes.

"If you really want perfect protection of your mucosal surfaces…you have mucosa in the mouth, mucosa in the nose, but you also have mucosa in the eye," Fauci said. "And that's one of the things, theoretically, you should protect all the mucosal surfaces. So if you have goggles or an eye shield, you should use it.

"It's not universally recommended, but if you really want to be complete, you should probably use it if you can," Fauci said.

The recommendation to wear eye protection is the latest step in a dramatic evolution by Fauci on this issue, which started months ago when he assured the American public that there was no reason to walk around wearing a face mask.

Now, states led by both Republicans and Democrats have mandated mask use in public, as have numerous localities and businesses. Even President Donald Trump has worn a mask publicly, calling it "patriotic" to do so.

Still, the science on whether masks, particularly cloth masks, slow or stop the spread of COVID-19 is conflicting, at best, and as a result mask usage is still a divisive issue. Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp went so far as to ban cities and counties from mandating masks, and sued the mayor of Atlanta when she refused to back off the city's mask mandate.

Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. He has been opposed to wearing masks, but has worn them occasionally recently. He said he suspected it was actually the use of the mask, rather than all the times he wasn't wearing one, that caused him to get infected.

"I can't help but wonder if by keeping a mask on and keeping it in place, I might have put some germs — some virus — onto the mask and breathed it in," Gohmert told KETK-TV.

A Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released Monday found that 79% of people would support a national mask mandate, and 70% of people support local enforcement of mask mandates with fines.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg returned to the hospital for a nonsurgical medical procedure in New York City Wednesday, according to Fox News.

Ginsburg has recently undergone numerous hospitalisations as she’s the oldest of the Supreme Court’s justices.

However, Ginsburg expects to be released from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre by the end of the week.

Ginsburg is 87 years old and underwent a “minimally invasive” procedure to “revise a bile duct stent,” the statement said.

It was initially inserted because she underwent treatment for a cancerous tumour on her pancreas.

Attorney General William Barr gave an unexpected bombshell in his testimony on Tuesday, claiming that a U.S. attorney in Texas is investigating unmaskings of people connected with the Trump campaign dating back to the Obama administration, according to NewsMax.

Reportedly, Democratic leadership refused to cooperate with Republicans on the bill unless it restored a full $600-per-week supplement unemployment benefit to out-of-work Americans.

I believe that there is a truth to the claim of flu vaccination making one susceptible to COVID-19. I can tell you that in my family, those of us who tested positive to COVID-19 had earlier been vaccinated with the flu jab but those of us who had not taken the Flu jab tested negative to the COVID-19. Just as much of the country is getting used to wearing face masks in public in an attempt to slow the transmission of COVID-19, Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested an even higher level of protection: goggles.

During in interview on ABC News with Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton, Fauci said that while it's not a widely-recommended practice, the safest thing for people to do is also to cover their eyes.

"If you really want perfect protection of your mucosal surfaces…you have mucosa in the mouth, mucosa in the nose, but you also have mucosa in the eye," Fauci said. "And that's one of the things, theoretically, you should protect all the mucosal surfaces. So if you have goggles or an eye shield, you should use it.

"It's not universally recommended, but if you really want to be complete, you should probably use it if you can," Fauci said.

The recommendation to wear eye protection is the latest step in a dramatic evolution by Fauci on this issue, which started months ago when he assured the American public that there was no reason to walk around wearing a face mask.

Now, states led by both Republicans and Democrats have mandated mask use in public, as have numerous localities and businesses. Even President Donald Trump has worn a mask publicly, calling it "patriotic" to do so.

Still, the science on whether masks, particularly cloth masks, slow or stop the spread of COVID-19 is conflicting, at best, and as a result mask usage is still a divisive issue. Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp went so far as to ban cities and counties from mandating masks, and sued the mayor of Atlanta when she refused to back off the city's mask mandate.

Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. He has been opposed to wearing masks, but has worn them occasionally recently. He said he suspected it was actually the use of the mask, rather than all the times he wasn't wearing one, that caused him to get infected.

"I can't help but wonder if by keeping a mask on and keeping it in place, I might have put some germs — some virus — onto the mask and breathed it in," Gohmert told KETK-TV.

A Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released Monday found that 79% of people would support a national mask mandate, and 70% of people support local enforcement of mask mandates with fines.

Federalist Society co-founder Stephen Calabresi said that President Trump’s tweet suggesting to postpone the election is “fascistic” and “grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment.”

“Until recently, I had taken as political hyperbole the Democrats’ assertion that President Trump is a fascist,” Calabresi wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times. “But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate.”

Calabresi noted that he has voted Republican in every presidential election since 1980, including for Trump in 2016. He said he had defended the president against the Mueller investigation and against the impeachment investigation.
