They announced a 4-for-1 stock split after their shares surged more than 80% in the past year.

What this split implies is that shareholders at the close of trading on Aug. 24 will receive three additional shares for each one they currently own. Post-split trading will begin Aug. 31.

They said the move will “make the stock more accessible to a broader base of investors.”

Meanwhile, to prove that this is not a fluke, this is the fifth stock split since Apple went public in 1980. The last split was in 2014. The company previously did splits in 1987, 2000 and 2005.
This is why Apple appears to be too cheap for its size compared to other tech giants.

The 2014 move paved the way for Apple to be added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which due to its configuration tends to eschew high-priced shares.
This is why Amazon, Alphabet, and their likes with sky-high prices remain disqualified from being listed on the Dow.
Apple already traded $408 after hours.

You earn your dividends if the stock pays dividends.

This is not paid directly into your bank account with e-dividends mandate like in NSE but into your portfolio account with your e-broker.

I earned dividends from DG few days ago. WHT was however deducted.

Most of the online platforms outside Nigeria are registered and somewhat Licensed.

More so, they are trading in US stocks either under their registered names or using a proxy/Licensed brokers.

In some instances, you sign digitally to agreements involving their chosen brokers.

Apart from the risks of investing in equities, other known risks are not limited to ‘lack of transparency, currency risk, volatility‘ among others .

In my view, your fund and transactions are secured considering also the above ^^^

Yes and No.
My answer may look uncertain because that's what it is until we know what price it closes on August 23rd.

Assuming the mark down date was yesterday, yesterday's after hours price of $408 is the closing price. An easy way to determine the new stock price will be to divide the previous stock price by the split ratio. Using the example above, divide $408 by 4 and we get the new trading price of $102.
By this calculation, if you had 100 shares valued at $40,800, your total number of shares will now become 400 shares so the value of your 100 shares when it was $408/share remains the same $40,800 when it becomes 400 shares at the new $102/share.

This may look uninteresting but the sweetness that generally comes with news like this lies in the 24 days ahead. Investors will jostle for the shares like you saw after the news which will push the price higher than $408. No one knows how high it will go before the 23rd August. What ever price it gets to, the split will be effected based on that last price to get a new price on the 24th August onwards; and 4 new shares will be given for every existing shares held by investors.

Now the icing on the cake is this: if the rush for the shares drive the price up to $600/share or more by 23rd August, the guy who bought and held at N350 makes nearly double his money even after the split.
This is what I meant by "Apple making many rich since 1980" because this is the 5th stock split since they were listed.
