I don’t think plasma tv is what you got because they are strong and durable, even more efficient. Although heavy power consumption but comes with high quality image. On the contrary, you might be referring to LED tv which are lighter but lots of imitation in the market. You can try HiSense for LED and I think you can get plasma in the market now, although I have 42 inches Panasonic plasma; straight from the UK. Very lovely tv. Did you get it from authorised dealer? Bad screen is also not the fault of the maker but how you and your household handled the television. My Tele, my fridge, my A.C. are Hisense products all purchased same day and over 4 years now. Not even a single fault from any of them.

Go for sony or philip belguim tv. I can sell a nice and strong one 4u without tv guild. If it got burnt prosecute me.

Sonny or LG both comes with surge protection and in built stabilizer.

Samsung is better, the power got burn by one stupid tiger gen tgen..I change the power is over 3 years and is working fine

It happens to me too. My was affected by low power supply by NEPA after I removed my stabilizer n plug it direct when the light was not able to carry the stabilizer. This single act cos me the power unit of my Samsung TV but after changing the power unit in 2016 till date my TV is functioning well operating from morning till night almost everyday.

One thing I have noticed among some Nigerians is that they lack maintenance culture. Even if they buy the best product in the market they will still damage it within a short time.....Sony CD player wey I buy from my first hustle after I finish secondary school still dey work perfectly till today, even some modern home theaters nor sound reach am. I never repair am since I buy am.

A lot of Samsung and LG TVs imported by Nigeria are grade 3, fakes/knock offs from China, Malaysia and Dubai.

Only buy LED/LCD TVs from their official stores in Africa as listed on their websites. Or buy the fairly used ones from Alaba as they are European Certified and were inspected to attain the European Quality Standard hence they bear the CE seal on them. Or if you can buy the imported ones from US and Europe i.e Samsung and others

Personally, I would recommend Philips, Bosch, Blaupunkt or any other European brand made in Germany or the Netherlands because these brands maintain a high standard, quality and long shelf life policy, just like their cars.

All the Samsung TVs i owned never lasted more than 4-5 yrs without needing repair, especially the colour problem i.e the colour spilling and making shapes on the screen after awhile. I use a Samsung Laptop as well and I've got a few TVs from Samsung awaiting repair. LED and LCD. And from experience, I would never own a Samsung product again because I have realized that the marketing of a product determines its hype and value to most consumers.

Its like using a Benz and a Toyota. The difference is in the use and the value to the user.

The Toyota beats it when it comes to mileage, fuel economy, sales and popularity but in overall performance, the Benz wins.

Nikon is the most popular camera brand in photography but Canon is known for giving you the best quality photo. Get the drift?

So go for one that you would not need to replace or repair within a short period

Go for SONY I have been using mine for 6years+ it's very durable and reliable

Am using iTEC LED TV since a year plus now, no issue whatsoever. Great picture quality too...
