Onweke: Documents can be BLUR and still be readable by the visa officer. To be honest with you, there are applicants I know who bothered themselves about submitting blur documents to IRCC but later got their VISA approved. Once the documents are clear to an extent, I don't think it's worth being worried about. You've done your part as a human, its time you commit your application into the hands of the creator to take absolute control of the visa officer's discretion. It will end in praise. 5 Likes |

You are truly an inspiration! I've read few of your post and you don't hesitate to encourage people on how not to give up. Applying to 4 schools isn't cheap, reaching out to 60 supervisors isn't for the faint hearted ...from checking mails constantly just to see if at least one of them responded, the mental attachment coupled with the disappointment of not hearing from them. Congratulations on conquering all, I am very inspired and I hope I'll be able to reach out to you personally soon. Welldone Osemigho: 1 Like |

Please can i self sponsor with an account of 8m? Am curious. 1) These are affordable and cheap universities in Canada: 1.Brandon University, Manitoba 2.Canadian Mennonite University, Manitoba 3.Dominican University College, Ottawa 4.Memorial University of Newfoundland 5.Simon Fraser University, British Columbia 6.University of Prince Edward Island 7.University of Winnipeg, Manitoba 8.University of New Brunswick 9.University of St. Paul, Ontario 10.Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Alberta 11.University of Saskatchewan 2) u will need to visit the schs. website to know their application fees and tuition fees 3) Well.. It depends but advisably , ur Sponsor should have more money to sponsor u 4)Nobody can assure u of ur chance of securing a visa . But if u ask questions, and craft ur application well, u stand a chance of securing a visa.. Just make sure u ask questions in d forum and share ur profile (documents) when u are on the verge of submitting so as it to know if u are good to go or there are somethings u need to add or remove Good luck[/quote] 2 Likes 1 Share |

Qudkom: Please can you help advise me in what’s best to do since you saying his/her GP of 3.57 is low. I actually graduated with a GP of 3.55 in chemistry which is a 4 year course and of course that’s a 2:1...In my own case i am currently running my masters in china and am due for graduation by next year june. My plan is to relocate to Canada maybe with my wife but my concern is this: would it safe to apply for another msc in a different field of chemistry with my masters degree from china or is it better i just ignore that one and simply apply for masters degree with my bsc from Nigeria? Or would be an addeed advantage to apply for PHd since i would be bagging a masters degree soon. Although am not ready for a PHD yet but i find out its a lot cheaper in tuition cost than bsc or masters? Finally after paying my first tuition fee, will having 8mill in naira be enough for POF? Thanks in anticipation to the replies and feedback am about to get! |

Lekiboboe: yeah, I just think everyone should submit as many relevant documents as possible, for example I submitted the birth certificate of all my other family members, also a few family pictures to show strong home ties .Basically just submit documents that will strengthen any claim you make. I believe this month will be a great month on this forum by God’s grace 5 Likes |

Alfred2000:Apart from the Compulsory 1-year Living expenses of at least $10,000 CAD u need to show, the Tuition fee for the program u applied to is also a determining factor to know if the 8million will be enough for ur self-sponsorship or not All u have to do is to, Convert the tuition fee of ur program for international student from Canadian Dollar (CAD) to Naira Visit the link below for Currency Conversion Canadian Dollar to Naira, Naira to Canadian Dollar https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/ The Amount u arrive at in Naira, add it up with the 1-year Living Expenses i.e the $10,000CAD which is around 2.9 million to 3 million add it to ur tuition fee in Naira, then u would know if 8 million is enough or not. Note that atimes the total amount u arrive at can be different and tend to change, cos of daily fluctuations of exchange rates (Most esp. $ USD) and Bank Rates at which foreign currencies are being sold 1 Like |

GreatMage:I feel the price you saw (4750) is for domestic students. Usually, International students pay X4 or more of what domestic students pay so multiply it by 4 to have an idea of what you are paying. Meanwhile, please go through the schools website again there's a column for international fees. I stand to be corrected Edit: I just checked the schools website for breakdown 1 Like

LegitBoyy:No I can't, u will av to do a research on that cos the program u intend to do would likely not be in all schools in Canada. 3 million for Tuition fee is around $10,332.9 (CAD) Check out the following cheap schools (Universities & College) for the program that relates to ur former degree and check their international tuition fee amount for the program Universities, Masters 1.Brandon University, Manitoba 2.Canadian Mennonite University, Manitoba 3.Dominican University College, Ottawa 4.Memorial University of Newfoundland 5.Simon Fraser University, British Columbia 6.University of Prince Edward Island 7.University of Winnipeg, Manitoba 8.University of New Brunswick 9.University of St. Paul, Ontario 10.Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Alberta 11.University of Saskatchewan Colleges, PGD/PGC Holland College (Prince Edward Island) https://www.hollandcollege.com/ New Brunswick Community College - (New Brunswick) https://nbcc.ca/tuition-fees Bow Valley College (Alberta) - https://bowvalleycollege.ca Confederation College -( Ontario) http://www.confederationcollege.ca Naigara College - (ONTARIO) https://www.niagaracollege.ca Camosun College - (British Columbia) http://camosun.ca Lethbridge College - (Alberta) https://lethbridgecollege.ca Vanier College - (Montreal , Quebec) http://www.vaniercollege.qc.ca/mikete... Thanks for the feedback. So what can you say about the part where i mentioned that i will be graduating from a masters degree in chemistry next year. Is it an added advantage to re apply for masters in canada with my masters degree transcript or simply just appply with my bsc from Nigeria? Alfred2000:Well...well...well!!! the only advantage I see here is to use ur Masters Degree in Chemistry Transcript to apply for PH.D in Chemistry or Chemistry related program, cos that's a career progression Going for another masters doesn't show any progression most especially to a VISA OFFICER when u submit ur Canada Study Visa Application. But its possible to do another Masters, in this case, u have to give a very cogent reason to the VISA Officer (in your Statement of Purpose -SOP) on why u are going for another masters degree instead of a PH.D program e.g. Probably there is a research work u saw that interest u and u were able to get a Supervisor doing that research work in a Canadian University in which they don't have in the School u did ur first masters. So, if found genuine ,and all other requirements are in place, then u av a Chance of Securing a Study Visa, but if it's not genuine, that could be a RED FLAG on ur Study Permit Application If u decide to use ur B.SC to apply, it might be risky cos the VISA OFFICER will question u on what u av bin doing for the Past Two years of the Master's Program u didn't mention. Probably when u get ur Masters degree Transcript , certificate etc. U can check link below schools below and try ur best to get a Supervisor, u might even be lucky to get funding from a School, if your Master's Application or PH.D Application is well packaged Note: Make sure u don't restrict urself to only 0ne school, reach out Potential Supervisors of Various School as much as u can so you can have lots of options Check page 112 for Hint's & TIPS on how to secure a Supervisor for Master's/PH.D admission, Funding (Partial or Full) in Canada and also check the video there for Vital Tips Schools offering M.Sc Chemistry and Chemistry Related Programs https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Chemistry&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH Schools offering P.HD Chemistry and Chemistry Related Programs https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Chemistry&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH If after Getting the Admission, the very important thing to consider is how u are going to convince a Visa Officer why u should be giving a Study Permit, so all efforts won't be in vain, cos they av the final decision Check out @frankrobbn1 post in the link below on how a Visa Officer reviews the eligibility of a study permit Application https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/185 All da best!!!!!! |
