Teams play 4-4-2 then so Sheringham will get plenty game time, and his price is not high. Chelsea bought two left backs same year one for £5m and one for £2.5m.

Fergie is nothing like Pep who will have all 22 players at high prices. Just in right-back alone, he has a £50m right-back and a £67m substitute for example. In contrast, Gary Neville was washed since 2006. Fergie used Wes Brown, John O'Shea, Da Silva twins and even blended Valencia into that position from 2006 to 2013 still delivering trophies. You can see the difference between point-and-kill and shrewd management in that right-back position alone.
