@Frankrobbn, Boss I greet you. After trying to compress my documents to get the below or 4MB specification most seemed blur but I could not help it because I had just one day to submit my application or risk my profile to expire. I hope it's not a red flag to submit BLUR documents ?

Documents can be BLUR and still be readable by the visa officer. To be honest with you, there are applicants I know who bothered themselves about submitting blur documents to IRCC but later got their VISA approved. Once the documents are clear to an extent, I don't think it's worth being worried about. You've done your part as a human, its time you commit your application into the hands of the creator to take absolute control of the visa officer's discretion.

It will end in praise.

You are truly an inspiration! I've read few of your post and you don't hesitate to encourage people on how not to give up. Applying to 4 schools isn't cheap, reaching out to 60 supervisors isn't for the faint hearted ...from checking mails constantly just to see if at least one of them responded, the mental attachment coupled with the disappointment of not hearing from them. Congratulations on conquering all, I am very inspired and I hope I'll be able to reach out to you personally soon. Welldone
Osemigho:

If I were in your shoes, my unordered options that may not apply to you will be;

1. Stick to the plan and see if I can use the school email or an official letter to get a travel exemption after visa. You will need a solid quarantine plan to enter finally.

2. Get Visa and defer to 2021 if I can guarantee a travel exemption. I Won’t say September 2021 is a no no. I will ask myself how I can secure it.

3. Get visa, defer program, change program to another winter program.

Your work is to figure out your options and continue to strike out the outdated ones as time and situation changes. However, never say never because waiting till next year might work in your favor.

If I had gotten admission and come to Canada in 2016, I wont have become PR in 2017 and probably won’t be by now. I was deeply saddened that I couldn’t get a masters admission with all my efforts and fall 2016 application to about 4 schools. A fellow nairalander stylishly mocked me for it. In fact, I quit all together until my undergraduate supervisor in Nigeria encouraged me to try again.

I returned with another name and refired. Emailed about sixty supervisors and had about 8 yes in about 5 schools. I applied to 4 schools and got full scholarship in one. I stumbled upon express entry thread around January 2017 and started reading it. The most fruitful part of my journey here was after that my denial in 2016 because I also used that one year to gather experience and knowledge to apply for PR. Those who mock me then actually came back to ask how I got my PR. Hahaha. Today, I am thinking of when to apply for citizenship not PR.

Never say never. Always think of how you can I do it better. All the best.

The upfront medical done was his own choice not instructed by IRCC. But today he got IRCCs instruction to submit his medical which he notified them through a webform he had already done, so makes the process faster.

Please I would like to know the tuition fee for first year students in Wilfrid Laurier University; especially in computer science.

I checked the school website and saw 4750 dollars while other sites that have detailed info said CAD 22,000...

Please anyone that have studied or is schooling there should help a brother.

Qudkom:

Your CGPA is a quit low to be considering msc program in Canada. The msc programs are very competitive so I think a Graduate Certificate program will be a good fit for you. Also you can make use of 2 sponsors it only makes your application strong. You can also declare you have family members in Canada it improves your ties to Canada.

Please can you help advise me in what’s best to do since you saying his/her GP of 3.57 is low. I actually graduated with a GP of 3.55 in chemistry which is a 4 year course and of course that’s a 2:1...In my own case i am currently running my masters in china and am due for graduation by next year june. My plan is to relocate to Canada maybe with my wife but my concern is this: would it safe to apply for another msc in a different field of chemistry with my masters degree from china or is it better i just ignore that one and simply apply for masters degree with my bsc from Nigeria? Or would be an addeed advantage to apply for PHd since i would be bagging a masters degree soon. Although am not ready for a PHD yet but i find out its a lot cheaper in tuition cost than bsc or masters?
Finally after paying my first tuition fee, will having 8mill in naira be enough for POF?
Thanks in anticipation to the replies and feedback am about to get!

Please what does background check not applicable status mean, it was initially reading background check processing then it updated to not applicable .

Frankrobbn1:

In restropect to my post about Background Checks and ELIGIBILITY review, it doesn't take the visa officer a long time to pass an applicant's ELIGIBILITY. As a matter of fact the time consuming stage of every immigration process to Canada is the Background Check, which consists of the criminality and security checks. ELIGIBILITY review can be completed within the space of hours, days or weeks depending on the workload of the visa officer responsible for the application. Mind you, IRCC are becoming faster for study visa processing so that international students can register for their fall 2020 courses and begin studies from their home country. International students were named as key drivers in economic and demographic growth, which are important to Canada’s economic recovery and long-term success. Thus why Canada can't allow the novel COVID-19 pandemic affect one of the major contributor of her economy.

I applied for Canadian study visa through an agent. He only requested for a statement of account and then my sop. After seeing the list of documents requirements here,I don't know what to think anymore. Is it possible to apply for study visa for an undergraduate course with just those two documents added to my admission letter?

No be lie @Tonydog cool

I can' tell it's a Positive Feedback u got from IRCC wink

My take on this ,
I feel decisions are based on how a visa officer view documents, the visa officer in charge of one's application and the documents an Applicant showed.

For example,
Normally one would feel since an Applicant who applied in June , he/she should av gotten a Medical request by Now,
.but u can see what has bin happening lately but no they Haven't, only few have gotten

Some applicants who applied First week of July av gotten medical requests..

Advisably , Applicants should fulfil all righteousness in their application before submission and back it with up Prayers..

And as usual ,at the end, Nothing but PRAISES!!!!!!

yeah, I just think everyone should submit as many relevant documents as possible, for example I submitted the birth certificate of all my other family members, also a few family pictures to show strong home ties .Basically just submit documents that will strengthen any claim you make.
I believe this month will be a great month on this forum by God’s grace

Exactly what I always want to hear at this time. I already have committed it to the hands of the Creator. Prayer is the key. Apart from the Compulsory 1-year Living expenses of at least $10,000 CAD u need to show,
the Tuition fee for the program u applied to is also a determining factor to know if the 8million will be enough for ur self-sponsorship or not

All u have to do is to,
Convert the tuition fee of ur program for international student from Canadian Dollar (CAD) to Naira

Visit the link below for Currency Conversion Canadian Dollar to Naira, Naira to Canadian Dollar
https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/

The Amount u arrive at in Naira, add it up with the 1-year Living Expenses i.e the $10,000CAD which is around 2.9 million to 3 million add it to ur tuition fee in Naira, then u would know if 8 million is enough or not.

Note that atimes the total amount u arrive at can be different and tend to change,
cos of daily fluctuations of exchange rates (Most esp. $ USD) and Bank Rates at which foreign currencies are being sold

I feel the price you saw (4750) is for domestic students.
Usually, International students pay X4 or more of what domestic students pay so multiply it by 4 to have an idea of what you are paying.
Meanwhile, please go through the schools website again there's a column for international fees.

I stand to be corrected

Well I will say its 50/50,
cos as at today, the processing time for Nigerian Applicants Outside Canada (in Nigeria) is 25 Weeks, Quite Weird grin
and it is bin stated by IRCC that they are processing study visa For Fall Intakes till SEPTEMBER 15

and these are the following Application processing phase by IRCC

Phase 1
- Letter Of Acceptance
- Proof of Funds
- Ties to home Country

Phase 2
- Medical Exam
- Police Certificate
- Biometrics

My own suggestion,
if u apply and u are not able to have a VISA Decision before SEPTEMBER 2020, then u will have no choice than to defer to JANUARY 2021 Winter, that's if ur program has that intake or ur school instruct u to do so,
and
it also depends on what the international Dept. Or Program Coordinator/Supervio Of ur school has to say as regards this, cos there are students for fall 2020 intake whose program is not Virtual, and they have to inform students to defer to Fall 2021 cos of the uncertainty of lifting Travel Restrictions

Do await more response to this question u asked for more inputs

All da best!!!!!

HI, please can you recommend a suitable school for me? I have 3m for fees.

Well...well...well!!!
the only advantage I see here is to use ur Masters Degree in Chemistry Transcript to apply for PH.D in Chemistry or Chemistry related program, cos that's a career progression

Going for another masters doesn't show any progression most especially to a VISA OFFICER when u submit ur Canada Study Visa Application.
But
its possible to do another Masters, in this case, u have to give a very cogent reason to the VISA Officer (in your Statement of Purpose -SOP) on why u are going for another masters degree instead of a PH.D program
e.g. Probably there is a research work u saw that interest u and u were able to get a Supervisor doing that research work in a Canadian University in which they don't have in the School u did ur first masters.

So, if found genuine ,and all other requirements are in place, then u av a Chance of Securing a Study Visa,
but
if it's not genuine, that could be a RED FLAG on ur Study Permit Application

If u decide to use ur B.SC to apply, it might be risky cos the VISA OFFICER will question u on what u av bin doing for the Past Two years of the Master's Program u didn't mention.

Probably when u get ur Masters degree Transcript , certificate etc.
U can check link below schools below and try ur best to get a Supervisor, u might even be lucky to get funding from a School, if your Master's Application or PH.D Application is well packaged

Note: Make sure u don't restrict urself to only 0ne school, reach out Potential Supervisors of Various School as much as u can so you can have lots of options
