Agreed. But we only need one man and vice to be the next driver. So who should be that person so that we can all put our hands on deck. Your choice is highly needed. Thank you.

You are right bro to the extent that only two persons can occupy the exalted position of first and second in the nation. To be honest, I can't see any man I wish to give my backing for any of the positions.

Let me tease you with this chronicle.
In 1983, the present president took over power and did absolutely nothing with it. Only idiagbon, God bless his soul, gave that administration some sense of direction. On discovering a lacunae, Maradona left Argentina and possessed IBB who imported SAP and holds the enviable record of ushering the naira into a free fall.
Bereft of dribbling skills in 1993, he cancels an election and STEPS ASIDE (whatever that means). His greedy COAS decided to prove that Maradona was only a learner, no wonder his benevolence from the other side is mind-blowing to the children of today.
Suddenly, a glimmer of hope shone on the horizon and while religious folks termed it "the hand of God" with attendant effusive eulogies deserving of an Almighty, the scientific community harped on a chemical weapon which may have involved an apple as conduit and transporter.
The Ota prince, who was fortuitously gifted what almost every citizen referred to as a "second chance", greedily fluffed it away in a fruitless bid to perpetuate himself in power.
Permit me at this point to introduce a slimmy character whose toga of "comrade" and signature khaki dress code still provokes a derisive laughter from my loins. Pls may I remind you at this juncture that the free fall of the naira continued unabated with its attendant consequences.
Back to the khaki wearing, albeit, fearless indigene of Edo state who bears a primordial name, little did we know what his true intentions were. He got everyone else fooled, except for myself and a few other persons, and made them believe he was fighting their cause. Pray tell, why didn't any of his petrol pump price hike wars ever end with a restoration to status quo.
Right under his nose, the near N11 naira fuel pump price the OTA prince met it as galloped to a N70 at his exit.

Here's the time to ask me "what's your point gaan gaan?".

My points are as follows:
1. You really can't vouch for anyone until you see how they handled power, authority, privilege, opportunity etc.
2. Decay and depreciation has remained on the milky way of free fall.
3. That checks and balances, not the charade currently known as NASS and the Judiciary, are far more important than the persons who will bulldoze their way to the seats of power. (Or do you think we actually elect people in this part of the world?)

Before you label me Mr Elejowewe, let me answer your question.

Answer- Oby Ezekwesili for President
Dora Akunyili / the Adesina of AFDB for VP

I am not amnesic. Just that I wish Dora was still alive.

We don't need to give it to the igbos all in the name to let peace reign. if they want it, let them earn it. for now they don't deserve to have it cause they are not ready.

Op, you are taking us back to one of those perennial mistakes we usually make - the presumption that it takes one seemingly good man to change the fortunes of Naija.
Where are the Sai Babas now?
Even football has moved away from the era of point9 dependency. Every member of the 23man squad is now made to imbibe the hunger for goals.
In other words, Naija doesn't need one man, rather a vast group of seemingly good men and women who would rise above ALL DIVIDES to salvage the nation.
sense will never depart from your lineage ,I'm happy some Nigerians still think

From where we are today in this country, which zone has, so far, shown readiness. Look at the sham called Nigeria today. So readiness? That is understatement.

This list is just too colourless for me.

I even prefer Orji Uzor Kalu to the peopel you mentioned.

Anyway, my list will have people like Prof. Kingsley Muoghalu, Festus Odimegwu and Charles Soludo.
Enough of this colourless, incompetent presidents.
Technocrats! Good list. But in Nigerian elections, politicians usually have the upper hand.
Re: 2023: Choose Your Best Pick For Next Nigeria President by HyAccent: 4:39pm On Aug 01, 2020
Imagine any of these guys as a president elect in Nigeria:
Prof Charles Soludo, Segun Agbaje, Donald Duke, Rabiu Kwankanso, Tony Elumelu, Kingsley Moghalu, Peter Obi, Femi Adesina, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. Won't Nigeria progress? But, then it can only happen in our imagination.
The reality is, 2023 will, as usual be a race between any of those that has been killing us since independence: Tinubu, Atiku, and whoever Buhari is nominating.
I mean I read somewhere that Chief Bode George is interested in becoming the President of Nigeria.
What a Joke!

fvck part system! I do candidature

Osinbajo and zulum full stop. Osinbajo is a visionary and will provide th reforms that the Nigerian economy and people need, right now. Zulum is a hard worker. He observes things down to detail. No project will go unseen with him. With that duo from 2023-2021 Nigeria will become the true giant of Africa.

Adesina can’t be president he is running for a second term as afdb president till 2024. Maybe come 2027 or 2031 he can try at it. But I think osinbajo should be next. And after him, maybe they’ll be another younger candidate by then.

The Yoruba showed their love for the Ijaws in 2011 already, remember?

Besides, going by the rotational arrangement almost guaranteed within the then ruling party PDP, it was still the turn of the North to continue in 2015. Why did the South attempt to disrupt the applecart then, when the South in fact just completed eight straight years through OBJ?

Stop lying. The Yorubas didn't heavily vote for Gej in 2011. In fact, one Yoruba state voted against gej, and the only reason Lagos favoured gej was because Igbos and SSners in Lagos voted overwhelmingly for Gej.
GEJ only won Lagos by a few percentage points b cause of that.

Yorubas will do anything to undermine any southern group. They undermined gej. Now they are trying to undermine the chances of any Igboman becoming the president of Nigeria
