flokii: It's a form of collateral security. Banks do this too. Money lending is not charity work. Haven't you heard of seized property before? I mean the ones seized by AMCON? For every loan, there must be a plan B on the part of the lender. 1 Like 1 Share |

if this is true (though i doubt it, cos the APC govt. are Nigerians too), then i pity south west.. especially Lagos & Ogun.. reason being that China will not like to go after:- the North & middlebert because there are less development there and Boko boys & Islamic militants will declear Jihad on the Chinese. the South-east because they are less developed the South-south because Avengers & militants boys will just kingnap and bomb like mad.., also most oil wells are own by the private Oil companies (maybe they can seize the FG percentages). but South-West especially Lagos & Ogun state.. will b very easy for them to take over especially the Ports etc.. don't tell me abt that jobless powerless masquerade called Amotekun oo.. 3 Likes |

bigwig071: Why would Nigeria default on a loan? Are the reps worried we are not going to pay back and why? Nigeria is not a proper country at all. This is one of the reasons why I believe the country should be rebuilt from the ground up, starting with strong institutions that cannot be manipulated by any single person. |

Your comments have gone a long way to prove your chronic stupidity. Igbosblame Awolowo and Tinubu for their poverty? ..so Igbos could be rated among the poorest in Nigeria? Which part of Nigeria has the highest income per capita? Ask Google I advertise on Nairaland not biafraland...hahahaha, see mumu! Are there no Nigerians advertising in Britain,America,Japan etc Your foolishness is like Covid-19, ..No cure. quote author=IvarTheBoneless post=92339931]You are a carpenter and you are a tribalist. You are advertising your wares on Nairaland and not BiafraLand. You have a Nigerian passport and nothing else. Later your father and grandpa would blame Awolowo and Tinubu for your poverty and not the generational stupidity. CONTINUE. [/quote] |

They will move to SS and put those militatnts and lazy ogogoro drinkers to work in their oil blocks In the SW, they will reason with sophisticated, intelligent and advanced Yorubas on progress and development of the entire South West region, boosting commerce, industry and international trade afterall all the airports and seaports belong to us. flokii: Let me leave you with this information, in 2014 a loan was taken by the Jonathan Government to fix cctv camera's in Abuja and Lagos for security propose, that loan was $2.4b from China and it is supposed to be repaid, the Qeastion is, have you been to Abuja and Lagos after Jonathan left office? Did you by any chance see or seen anything like cctv camera's in those two cities? Have you asked what happened to that loan they took ? is Nigeria not going to pay back that particular loan with the interest on it ? Another Qeastion is, do you think Nigeria is not capable of paying that loan in 20yrs time ? |

Newboss: The clause stated clearly that Chinese can take possession of any asset (e.g. airports, seaports, LNG etc.) other than diplomatic and military assets. It didn't state that they will only go after what they built. Please stop being clever by half.. we're literates and we are not fools. |

Mmuoojukwu: Still crying over election that happened over 5yrs ago? And for someone that was weak and allowed massive looting. Maybe if Jonathan had saved most of the proceeds earned from record oil prices of over $100 per barrel, Buhari would have met funds to spend on infrastructure instead of borrowing. Sentiments kills ability to reason objectively. You should all grow up. Ask Jonathan what happened to the Abuja and Lagos CCTV loan he collected from China. Yet no CCTV ever built in Abuja or Lagos. Tell me, of all infrastructure needed in the country, na CCTV your brother Jonathan choose to collect loan from China for. How dumb is that. A govt that earned record revenue from oil at over $100 per barrel still collected loan to construct CCTV. And yet Aunty Diezani still stole billion of dollars. |

neonbash0: I am aware they took loan in billions of dollars for CCTV and the money was looted.. What is the Lagislative arm of government in Nigeria doing despite getting the highest pay in form of salary and allowances in the world? Nothing! Nigerian youths should better wake up before it's too late. Politics and religion have failed us as a people. |

Adjovi: I tire for these kind people o. I said somewhere that the greatest threat against Nigeria is coming from outside aided saboteurs from inside and the only way to survive and win in the face of these threats is to come together. Rather, people are busy throwing childish ethnic jabs. No one is safe, not anywhere in any part of Nigeria. By the time it happen your eyes would clear but it will be too late. |

proeast:I can't stop laughing at your funning logic but unfortunately for you your case is like what is said in the Bible, that where the guilty is being punished the innocent also partake in the punishment,so it's a double jeopardy, you did not enjoy the loan but will partake in the repercussions |
