Interesting! That camels own is surprising. See the mouth sef grin

Never seen a close-up image of a buffalo. Is that a bird perching on it's face? sad

Anyways, there's one animal that is a total opposite of this. Doesn't keep grudges. Infact the more you discipline it the more it loves you.

Doesn't matter how much my mum beats them, they're always the first to go welcome her wagging their tails.

Man's best friends. But they can do anything to keep their owner safe. That's not revenge, that's protection. undecided

Say the name: DOGS kiss kiss

Oh I love Dogs cry kiss

Dogs are Loyal, which is what you are experiencing. They always protect their owner!
She beats them at times but l am also sure she feeds them as well.
In their head, she is a source of food for them and they cherish that. They have associated her scent with their source of food.
If you remove that part of her, from them (not feed them anymore and still beats them), you will see their other side.
grin grin

Dogs are extremely intelligent and they can even decipher "thoughts" and they are reputed to be able to see spirits or things beyond the human "spetcrum of sight".
I love Dogs so much.
I loath nothing more in Life, than CATS!
I just hate those things!

I've actually read several times (and experienced) that dogs don't have a sense of revenge. But it's okay sad

If they're, then it's mostly cute vengeance grin

I know that of elephant. I learnt elephant has retentive memory and doesn't forget any wrong done to it. If you offend it ; kill it cub or injure it, it pays you back wherever and whenever it sees you again.

Mosquitoes. I killed one mosquito the other day. I came back, flitted my room. The next day I saw tens of them and they chose to bite me at the same spot. Isn't this proof of vengeance. The same spot.

Dogs.

When I visited Bayelsa state, the first thing I noticed was dogs gang wars.
When a dog is attacked by other dogs in the attackers own territory, the attacked dog will in turn go to it territory and mobilises other dogs for a counter-attack.

You missed out chimpanzees grin grin grin

Are chimpanzees dangerous?
Human interactions with chimpanzees may be especially dangerous if the chimpanzees perceive humans as potential rivals. At least six cases of chimpanzees snatching and eating human babies are documented. A chimpanzee's strength and sharp teeth mean that attacks, even on adult humans, can cause severe injuries.

Best thread ever. What about Meleagris gallopavo (domestic Turkey) that will chase you to any length when you offend him? What of Bos indicus (tropical zebu) e.g white Fulani and pure black sokoto gudali cattles that are extremely ruthless? Or the Ovis aries (sheep) Ram that's able to identity an evil person or a criminal about to do evil and then attack the person immediately. Lots more of animals revenge including the king cobra (Ophiophagus hannah)

I don't think this is always true. Our dog in those days, would carefully sort out my brother's slippers in the midst of others, then chew and shred it to bits as payback for hitting him. He'd do this in his absence and put up an innocent look afterwards.

End time dog like someone said grin.

lol just kidding. The innocent look they give is the most interesting. so cute cheesy
Ours used to do same. Chew slippers, clothes, plastics. (except my mum's cos they knew what she'd do to them)
At some point we had 3 of them that would only sleep on clothes (and the clothes had to be fluffy) else they'd disturb everyone.
Lovely creatures! smiley

Dogs keep grudges o, I remember my neighbor that always teases my dog by banging on his cage with a wooden stick and screaming at him. Till today whenever my dog hears that guys voice he’ll enter attack mode. The day my dog was on leash and the guy cane close to give me a handshake he nearly lost his arm. Thank God for Bullet energy drink I took that day. I love my boy

Funny. cheesy You know that if your dog had seen another dog trying to attack the same friend, it would rather defend your friend. Especially if they see
your relationship/closeness with such friend. I've experienced this several times. (well maybe some breeds) They're just wired to be loyal. cool

That's a very cute dog btw. Is that a caucasian shepherd? Still a puppy or early adult I presume.....

Back then, I visited a friend, and it happened they just got a new dog.
Anytime I go there, I use to tease him and the dog because the dog always run away from me like a coward.
Fast-forward to months later, the dog was already big, he asked me to visit him.
Ordinarily, the dog don't bark or attack people during the day because people go to their house for meetings i.e town meeting etc, but immediately the dog saw me entering the compound it attacked me but I took off, it was his elder brother that came out to order the dog to be calm...
Funny memory.

hahahaha grin grin the dog was just trying to practice his newly acquired skills on you. e wan prove to you sey im no be coward. cheesy

You think? Dogs are capable of grudges. For reasons best known to my Rott, he has refused to familiarise himself with our cleaner for almost 3 years. He goes crazy whenever he smells her from a distant. One day, she threw a broom at him and that only got him madder.

He was sick two weeks ago and the vet came and gave him 3 shots. After he got better he has been hyper, barking madly at anyone who comes near the gate because several strange faces came into the compound when he was sick and he was too weak to do anything about the 'invasion'. The vet came earlier this week to check on him and the dog recognised him as the interloper who came and stuck him with sharp needles. He almost tore the gate of his cage down trying reach him. After the doctor left and we released him, he ran to gate and started shaking the gate to be let out, apparently to chase the human being that had the effrontery to chook him needle.

ROTFL cheesy cheesy Very funny.

I hear you though. They exhibit such defensive trait which I sometimes find cute.

I also attribute some of these traits to different breeds as well. I know rotts can be very protective and aggressive grin

Glad your dog is feeling much better now. smiley

Dogs do hold grudges, infact they're the worst...
But only against mean strangers.

worst kwa? lol. grin
I get. They'd attribute every act of a stranger against them to mean threats to their owner. So they prefer to defend and suffer it than see their owner harmed. embarassed

The animal with worst form of revenge has to be rats, I once set trap for some rats invading my kitchen, I used rat poison, I noticed 2 rats died the following day, they were quite large, so I presumed they were father and mother, the following day a rat came to my sitting room during the day and was staring at me at the face, I traveled a day later, when I got back I noticed the button of my home theater and DSTV remotes were mutilated, they did it in a way to get back to me for killing their parents. It was so funny, my colleague and neighbors were astonished at how rats were capable of revenge. I never saw rats in my house after then, that's about 2 years ago.

cheesy you are right. they had to pick the food over fight/revenge. grin

I just love dogs. Very intelligent creatures. You can scold them in the morning, they become aggressive and all, and before evening they're back to your feet playing with you, whereas you still dey vex for them. grin

Heard about their ability to see beyond the physical too. One I remember firsthand was when my grandmum passed. Before my parents received the call that night our dogs were crying and barking. That was really shocking. Coincidence? who knows.

lol I also never used to like cats, but the past couple of years I tend to like them and watch how they act. Not as much as to keep one as a pet, but I wouldn't run off when I see one coming close to me. grin
