Everything you see on the checklist are as a result of the details you put in your application. if it is included, your best bet is to provide it.

If your parents are sponsoring you, you could in addition to their statement and your birth certificate provide a letter saying they are sponsoring your studies, with their signature. You could go a step further to notarize this letter (not compulsory).

Cheers

OK thank you

No offence meant but that's not quite right; the 28-day rule applies irrespective of when you print your statement so the OP has to reprint the statement to show funds on his online submission date.

The guidance clearly states that the funds should cover the 28-31 days preceding the application and not later than the date of application. If the OP applies tomorrow and has a statement that ends today, he has to print another one that covers 28 days including tomorrow because tomorrow is part of the 28-day count. The closing balance that will be used will be the closing balance on the day you submit, not the closing balance of the day before.

In cases where people's statements show funds beyond 31 days prior to the application or a day(s) later than the application, the ECO just counts 28-days backwards from the date of submission to ensure that the money has been in there for 28-days leading up to the application so you are right on this.

The guidance deals with the period the funds should cover and is actually silent on the age/ print date of the bank statement; the general use of 31 days after printing/before biometrics is actually a general advice due to document integrity reasons and situations in which the document date was an ish but this is not stated in the guidance. Only loan and scholarship letters have the age/date of the document stated.

Mimilyrics, you have talked about this before and I think it was corrected then and you agreed with the correction.

The ECO wants to see that you have held your funds in the account for atleast 28days and the statement of account should not be older than 31days before you submit your application.

Meaning if you printed your 28days statement of account on the 1st of July, it’s is still valid to be submitted until 31st July

You only have to reprint if you are submitting the statement after 31st July

Did you read through what I wrote based on the OP's situation vis-a-vis what's in the guidance? Are you advising that the OP submit a statement that doesn't capture the funds in his/her account on the date his/her application is submitted?
My agreement was in line with general advice on age of statement and I think I updated my comment to reflect this and I mentioned situations where it was otherwise. Though it's the general advice (which even I give), the date on the bank statement (it was stated in the dependants guidance though) was not dealt with in the guidance, only the period the funds cover.
The guidance only talks about the period the funds cover which must be 28-31 days preceding your application and not later than your application date, nothing on the date/age of the statement.

It is possible to submit a bank statement that doesn’t capture the funds in the account on the day of submission.

When you print a bank statement at the bank, it carries date you printed the bank statement and also the number of months you have chosen up till the day of printing

For eg, if I print a 28days bank statement today, it shows the funds I have in the account up til today (3/08/2020). The date of printing the bank statement is also 03/08/2020

Ukvi says it is perfectly fine for me to use this bank statement dated 03/08/2020 for the next 31 days. That means this bank statement can be used from today till 03/09/2020

I hope this is clear.

Try to do your research well, because going by your own rule it means if you apply for Visa online on Sunday ,you have to print bank Statement on Sunday . Some schools request for bank statement for CAS and they encourage you to use same statement to apply for Visa. If your rule is correct ,this won't be so. cheers

It's not, the guidance is clear on this and there have been people whose applications were refused because of this but if you want to tow that route, then I'd not go over this with you. It's your choice.

Try to read the guidance again. It states that funds must have been held for a consecutive 28-day period (finishing on the date of the closing balance) ending no more than 31 days before your application and no later than the date of the application.
Even if you print the statement 10 days after your submission, it must show the 28-31 days period preceding your application; the days that will be counted will go no further than the 31-days before the online application submission.

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 12:32pm On Aug 03, 2020
It talks about the period the funds can cover before the application not the print date of the statement. You must show the funds for at least 28 days and at most, 31 days before your application and the earliest start date that this can be is 31 days preceding your application, not older / more than 31 days.

The 31 days after print date is not in the students' guidance though this is in the dependants' guidance and I'm guessing it's adopted since the dependant's application is hinged on the main applicant's application.

You can print your statement just for those 28 days preceding your online application any time after you submit your application, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to print 31 days before your online application submission.

Ps: You're actually right though and we were basically
saying the same thing in different words. Some inside sources actually confirmed to me that your interpretation is correct too and isn't generally an issue except in rare cases. Thanks for a good discourse grin

If you use same statement for CAS, there are roughly about 5 days missing from the statement before your application.
Feel free to do what you want concerning this but I've said my bit.

You will be sent email receipts for both payments but you don't need to print them.
Your IHS/visa payments are linked to your visa application / GWF number; your printed application will have your payment reference on it.

You can book for Tb test while waiting for CAS.
You can't start your online application because you need your CAS in filling the application.

The gurus will explain the last question to you.

Yes, volunteer jobs count towards your 20 hours. The combination of any paid or unpaid jobs should not exceed 20 hours during term-time.
