Julibet:Yes it is possible to get sponsorship (Full or Partial Funding) for a thesis-based admission But it can be very competitive, There are lots of Students worldwide with very high grades, publications/journals etc. So in order to stand out, a well-crafted & packaged thesis-based application is the way forward Also anyone looking for thesis-based should be looking at the September 2021 intake, cos M.SC/PH.D admission can take up to 2-5 months. What an applicant ought to be doing now is to be sending contextualized email to potential supervisors (as much as u possible) of different schools. Be prepared to hear both Positive & Negative response from the supervisors, but don't give up, cos with a good application & God by ur side, u will surely get at least 1 to 2 supervisor who will accept u Send me a PM! |

milo9: What do you mean by 80% of tuition paid? Did you pay for 1 term/semester or you almost paid everything and the remaining balance is maybe about 2k left? Is this your first application? I will be frank with you, Your account statement is a gamble What's Your first degree/programme and intending degree in Canada? I don't want to go too deep in this, there are about 5 different cases in study permit application (case 85, case 30, case 31 case 70...) it's good to order for GCMS notes whenever your application is taking longer than expected or it's being paused somewhere, it enables you to know what they are expecting from you prior in your application. they won't notify you until your visa has been refused, very very few VOs ask for it. Some application gets up to 7 VOs some 2 some 10, some even 1 (that's where God comes in). I don't know if you're going for college degree (PGD/PGC, etc, ) but I personally don't advise people with bachelor degrees in Nigeria to submit professional certificates it complicates college application. If your application is not too long, as I said earlier, it could be your stream on background checks is pretty slow. It will get to your turn, this is not common but just chill and relax, but if your application has been long maybe 2 months. Order your GCMS notes to know what exactly they are expecting from you. 1 Like 1 Share |

@Frankrobbn1 Please my sitution is a bit complicated. I applied using an agent, before getting to know about this thread on Nairaland. This was in June. I told the agent to give me a password so I can check the cic site and get details on my application but he said doing that means he has given me access to all his clients information. So right now until he tells me there is an update I don't even know how far my application has gone. Kindly advice me what to do please. I do get email notification but I really want to have access to my details on the site and even see the documents he submitted. Since then, he only sent the biometrics request form and he said no update yet |

Sapte: There's absolutely nothing you can do, just hope for a positive result in your application. That bullshit is like an oat taking to Nigeria travel agent. When you should take action is when your visa has been approved and he/she refuses to give you your login details, then you should get him arrested cause your login details stays with you forever in Canada whenever you want to extend or apply for PR, etc. They want to be in charge of you even when you're in Canada with that, they make more money by ripping you off 2 Likes |

Sapte: agent from the pit of hell. i know successful people that applied through agents also and they were given their login details. Your own agent just wants to rip you off. keep pressuring them for the login details. what nonsense! he even gave a stupid excuse that if he gives you your login details then he has given you details of his other clients. 1 Like |

Tonyodg: Shes right o... Demand for your login details cos youbpaid for it... Every visa application has his or her own login details. What he said means he uses the same password which are saved on the same laptop or desktop he is using for everybody he applies for but not the same security questions. I advise you tell him to give you the password, you will use your own laptop to gain access.. Simple .. |

greatalash:U are welcome Most Schools are opened for Admission, Cos in Canada, they av 3-intakes, Fall (September), Winter (January) & Spring (May) intake, so a school with a Winter (January) 2021 admission intake is the one you should look out for. For u , YES u can apply for it, cos of ur BUSINESS Work Experience (Business man), and u having ur own business , but I don't think there is a PGD/PGC for Bus. Administration in Canada. (I stand to be corrected) Why not go for PGD/PGC in International Business Management(IBM) or PGD/PGC in Global Business Management (GBM) Visit the link below for schools offering PGC in IBM https://www.ontariocolleges.ca/en/programs/search?q=International%20Business%20Management&page=0&by%5BProgramCredentialEnglish%5D%5B0%5D=Graduate%20Certificate Visit the link below for schools offering PGC in GBM https://www.ontariocolleges.ca/en/programs/search?q=Global%20Business%20Management&page=0&by%5BProgramCredentialEnglish%5D%5B0%5D=Graduate%20Certificate Check LAMBTON College as well for their PGD/PGC Business program and also, its advisable for u to write a Cover letter (addressed to that department in the sch.) as part of the supporting documents for ur admission application, in which u will talk about why u are going for IBM/GBM instead of a Chemistry related program, this is where u will now explain urself that "u have a business u do with so so years of experience, and u would need more knowledge for your business to get a global recognition, blah blah and be able to do business beyond borders",and also in the cover letter mention like 3-4 courses/subjects u will be doing in that program. also u need an Updated Resume or CV in which your Business name , type of business , when u started etc. should be there In Summary, know that, ur transcript says more about CHEMISTRY, so its your cover letter and ur Updated Resume/CV the admission committee of the college will likely dwell more on in order to make a decision if u will be given the admission or not. All da best!!! |
