Please I have a question, I've been ttcing for 2years and my period has been btw 31-33days. And this month I saw my period on 24th. Meanwhile, my period ended 2nd of July. That means I'm seeing it twice and at 24days interval. I'm really worried, my period has always been scanty for the past 1year and 8months. Pls what could be the problem?
While it is normal to experience a shortened cycle for cycles below 25days the gross fall from a long cycle length experience, might be termed irregular. If this is your first time of experiencing this, it could be normal and stress related or any other normal factor in all together.

A normal menses should flow at least 2-7 days range, the pull is determined by alterations in the ovarian hormones as well by certain internal and external environmental factors. So, it won't be enough to say something about your reproductive functions by the mere observation of your flow. We would still want to know if are observing ovulation even though your flow has been scanty.

You may likely want to know if any thing or changes somewhere might have been responsible for this. First, see a doctor about this. He may have a normal physical and pelvic exam done to rule off some suspicious causes at focus. Or by indepth, seek a pelvic ultrasound for structural defects and hormonal profiling for selective hormones controlling the cycle.

When did you have the E. coli and S. aureus infection treated? After the treatment, have you gone to repeat analysis for improvement?

I started the treatment since last month.
I took 10 injections and after that I continued with another set of tablets
Metrodonazole and levofloxacine.

Though I have not gone to recheck if i the infection is completely gone.

But i just feel like I'm free from the infection but i will still do the check but please I'm very much concerned about the sperm motility rate. because it's way too low.

Is there any hope for me?

How can I start improving it, and how long would it take to become normal

10 injections of what? of antibiotics?
Which antibiotics to say?

You have already done the said treatment for an infection, it is expected to have another SFA done at least a month from when the first one is done to confirm or rule out infection as the primary agent to the disabling motility of your spermatozoons.

Be patient! Maintain a good personal hygiene and a good balance diet, take fruit, avoid wearing multiple pants , no hard drug use/ no smoking/reduce alcohol use and attend to your personal stress on daily basis...

If you can sustain these then expect motility will improve.

Yes it was antibiotics though i don't know the exact type of antibiotics.

Alright thanks so much, i will follow the above procedures.

But are there drugs that can help me in the improvement currently.??

Good day Doc, I have been trying to conceive for more than 10 years without success, firstly my husband was diagnosed with low sperm count, but June this year his sperm count reads 51.8 x10 raise to power 6 celld/Ejaculate, Total motility is 40%, sperm viability (HOS) >50%. The final analysis says Normozoospermia. What do you think?
Recently I was diagnosed with uterine fibroid and I went for HSG, yet no conception, what should I do, I am 42 this year. How can I boost my egg and what supplements should I take to boost my chances of conception while we save up for IVF.

Good afternoon Doc, I will try to be brief sir. I noticed a lump beside my neck a year ago and early this year, I went to the hospital for examination, needle aspiration was done and I was told to go for surgery. I did that on May this year but couldn't remove all cus I was told some surrounding veins should not be tampered with. 2 weeks later, the result came out and I was told I have Non-hodgkin Lymphoma..

Being a private hospital, I was referred to a general hospital and when I was examined thoroughly and ask different questions which I answered negativity to it, the consultant insisted I do chemotherapy and radiation based on my first report.

I showed the blood test to some doctor friends online and they said they are not convinced it's Non-hodgkin Lymphoma because of my age, method of carrying out the test, and since I'm not exhibiting any symptoms associated with Non-hodgkin Lymphoma..

I was supposed to start chemotherapy treatment and radiation but due the financial problem, I have not been able to.

I need advice on this..

The big lump has been removed with one other with about 6 lumps still beside my neck

It is actually too early to worry about a miss. It is normal to experience a miss as the hormones controlling the menstrual cycle are usually affected by several factors both internally and externally.

Is this her first time of experiencing a miss?
Does she has an history of irregular menstrual cycle?
Was she sick before now?
Has she been on any form of medications, or she just started using some medications including vitamins?
Is she experiencing a change in her mood or expressively being active?

Does this miss follows with signs and symptoms associating with early pregnancy?
If she is having such signs and symptoms, she could try some home pregnancy test to confirm for pregnancy. But if she has tried and it came out negative, she should be relax and confident that her will certainly show when it necessary.

Hello Doc, For over 2 years i have become addicted to Buscopam.. My period comes with so much pain and the pain starts 2-3 days before my period. So i take buscopam 2 tablets:morning and night(my prescription). I just want to ask if this has a side effect.
Buscopan affects the parasympathetic control of the body. Side effects are noticed by the numbers of receptors they covered controlled by this system. Effects hence will last naturally by drug limit to function. Since Buscopan does not act long, effect( positive or negative) may generally not stay long provided that dosage to prescription is kept.

Normozoospermia means, a healthy spermatozoons by reason of comparison to acceptable standards. Motility is 40%, this is way below reference but by all means not bad. Sometimes one or two criteria may not just fit in but that does not totally write off the SFA as a terrible one. With time motility will boost up provided he keeps to normal life changes and good personal health hygiene practice.

What have you done on your own?
Do you have problem observing ovulation?
Do you experience irregular menstrual cycle?
Have you done a TVS to check for size of your ovaries and follow up with hormonal profiling for your reproductive hormones to write off POF?
