This woman is the most dumb ass ever known! The mother never beat the boy in the video. All she was doing was to ensure the boy won't repeat such bad character again. Does she have children at all? If at all, it is her type that throws shoes at children for just single mistake but coming out to feign holier than thou! Just ask her siblings or housemaid about her type, you will be marvelled that she may be more wicked than Jezebel. 2 Likes |

Many of us grew up with almost similar treatments from parents. I guess because of our heady nature?..lol Frankly, everyone needs to reduce their steam on this. Its just a form of discipline in this parts. 1 Like |

What is child abuse here? Let her sit down biko. The mother was even civil about it by giving the child room to negotiate during the whole thing. So how can she say its child abuse? Is she trying to say people should not discipline their children? We are not in the western world where the reverse is the case and they end up putting a gun in their parents head or its the court that will now be settling mother and child fisticups. During her time, will the mother allow her make phim? Straight up adabo is what they'll give her before she realized what he she did. All these oyinbo wannabes mehhnnn... Or is it just pure jealousy that the woman is trending? Shift abeg! |

Is it not the same UK where there are no rules in the family? where a child can call his mum a bitch and other insulting names. This is Nigeria and Africa, we don't do that here, we discipline a child when they do wrong. Stupid people |

Nothing represents child abuse in Nigeria more than the Almajiri system. But Onochie would never mention this because of her principal's interest. |

You want to give a child living in this Nigeria, with these type of govt U.K training- continue. To survive in this country, you have to go through Nigeria's own local nurturing not some UK or American training. Their govts give them all the financial and psychological supports. Here we get nothing. In the face of pandemic when Uk is giving palliative and reducing taxes, what do we get here? Power bill increase VAT increase Rent stamp increase Transport increase |

ManLikeBlaize: In fact ehnnn... This woman is just making my head to turn. I'm a teacher and one thing ive observed is, if you dont discipline these children they'll become a nuisance. Let me cite an instance in some of the schools I teach. The school adopted the no-cane policy. So the teachers are helpless and can't really carry out disciplinary measures. Now it has made this children so uncontrollable and raz. One the other hand as a visiting teacher I'm allowed to use the cane (only the head teacher and I) so I use it judiciously that once a week I visit. Now, when ever im coming, from downstairs the whole place will be noisy like balogun market but once I step into the first class room, you'll hear shouts of "miss Okoli is around" and immediately there will be decorum. I mean the whole school will be quiet at once. So I dont need to use the cane most times. Same thing with all the schools I take. And you tell me they dont need discipline? Ta! |

A government official should be very careful with what he/she says because we are not the only one resident on earth... murmee: Okay Mr. Sanwo-Olu... Please, explain what or where I 'failed' to make sense above... 1. What kind of a mother videos and posts such a routine process of child discipline if not a manipulative and attention-seeking one??! 2. Why post such a video??! Just for fun??! 3. If not lack of intelligence, would a governor not clearly see that gratifying such a stunt would open the door for more of such future stunts??! Now, how exactly have I shamed or disgraced anything or anyone by positing my perspective and opinion (One shared by anyone with even half a brain)??!... I shall patiently and 'politely' await your answers!!! N.B: Refrain from using any more gutter language, or you will be terribly reprimanded and reported to the "Banning committee"!!! Thank you. 1 Like |

Lauretta. Onochie should mind her business. A parent has the privilege to discipline her child as he/ she seems fit, as long as the child is not assaulted or treated badly. In the case of "mummy calm down". From the dialogue between mother and son, you can see that boy knows he did wrong but just pleading with the boy. The mother didn't beat him but only wants him to be cautioned. 1 Like |
