That salary in pounds is about 308k/week. Currently no1 is DDG with 375k, then Pogba with 290k, then Martial 250k, Rashford 200k.

In my own humble opinion, I think it does, depending on the club.
If a club like man u who adores the no7 shirt position gives it to Greenwood. It means there's a sense of responsibility they're expecting from Greenwood. He won't be viewed as a teenager anymore but as the next big thing, every of his moves will be scrutinized and he'll be unfairly criticised. If he isn't strong mentally, then his form will obviously dip.
That's what a symbolic shirt number does to a player
yes it's a starter's jersey number but we've seen that the No. 7 shirt doesn't even guarantee you are a starter at Man Utd.
I think if he has the confidence and speaks to the manager about it, he can get it because I'm sure the club will love nothing more than an academy graduate pulling through and doing well with iconic7 on his back.
he has the talent so I don't know why everyone is viewing it from the negative angle. it can also be that his confidence skyrockets from having the manager show such faith in his abilities. personally I don't see why not.

I can understand de Gea salary. it's more like compensation package for all those times he kept the club from disappearing on the football map grin
I really don't think Sancho will earn significantly more than Rashford/Martial.

The salaries i quoted are all before tax. Rashford and Martial will also pay tax on their salaries.

I am sure Woodward is not unfortunate enough to pay Rashford 200k, Martial 250k, and then pay Sancho 308k.

It is actually very bad. It will send the wrong message to the established players and make future contract negotiations difficult, apart from making it difficult to move Sancho if the unthinkable happens and he flops. He is unproven in the EPL.

Tuanzebe seems to be on the way to getting his M.B.B.S and becoming Dr Tuanzebe. If this continues until next season please they should sell him and allow our boy Mengi see road.
