However, I heard a rumour one time about not sending PR Cards through post because customs will intercept them... please does anyone know how true or possible this is? does anybody have any insight/experience and has anyone actually had their cards posted and gotten them in the recent past?

Any insights or thoughts will be appreciated!

Thank you so kuch for a detailed explanation. Based on your questions, we are a family of 4 with need for junior high and elementary schools. I want somewhere quiet but also where I don't want to rely on my car all the time, so somewhere within walking distance of shops and schools etc.

With regards to jobs, I have experience in HR/ Admin , Operations and Clients relationship management. So I definitely need a job. Based on the feelers I have put out, I can see that there are openings in both cities.

There are Investment opportunities. Aside Mutual funds, we also have segregated funds, TFSAs etc. The interest rates are more than what you get in a normal savings account. Most people go for Real Estate... cos mortgage interest rates are so reasonable. But if you don't have money for down payment... you may do more of mutual funds, stocks, set funds, RRSPs etc.

Yeah, you can send a PM. I see that a number of Nigerians in Canada are now interested in data science/ machine learning, whether as business analysts or managers. I'm starting a Whatsapp group where you can ask questions and seek guidance, should you need it, as you go ahead in this journey.
So, yeah, hopefully we can get more people assembled together.
