The problem is, that webcam driver is a base driver, it came with that laptop, that's why you search and search, and were not able to download it online, cos you won't find it online. That driver has been corrupted in your present windows. The solution is to reset your windows or restore your pc or you can restore your pc to an earlier saved restore points before the camera problem starts, so that it returns back to default settings or reinstall another fresh windows Os. It will come with the webcam driver installed.

Even if you increase the VRAM, the Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor is too weak to handle recent games.

Your best bet is to upgrade your 4GB to 8GB, and at most, it'd play recent games at 10p - 15p fps in 720p resolution, but it'll handle old games comfortably at mid to high frame rate in 720p to 1080p resolutions.

4gb stick of ddr4 ram is 5k or 6k in Computer village. Might be pricier elsewhere.

You're right.

Low end skylake motherboard doesn't support the high end DDR4 technology.

google search for the windows version activation keys or product keys online and enter the 25 letter keys to activate windows. Or download a kms pico activator software to activate the windows automatically.

I now realised that is how Lenovo has programmed the battery manager.

Same laptop. When on battery at the lowest brightness display, the screen flashes. I mean it will go brighter a little and returns after 4 seconds thereabouts. The process may now repeat itself after another 4-6 minutes I can't recall per se.

But on a very bright display...be it on bat3 or charger, I don't notice it.

What do you think?

yes, once in a while you need to calibrate your battery so that it would function normally and give correct readings. You will allow the battery to discharge all the way to 0% and charge it all back to 100% fully charged

, might be a feature in the laptop, that regulates the brightness with the surrounding environment, like an ambient lights sensor, to save power. The brightness diminishes when in bright environment and vice versa.

Not Lenovo, that is how Microsoft windows has programmed it, in battery charging behaviour.

Unplug your laptop and press the power button down for 30 sec. Should solve the battery issue.
