Nwannem Lekiboboe well deserved. CONGRATULATIONS!
I've had a strong belief you would get your visa, so happy for the outcome. Meanwhile, you should book your medical upon 2 weeks to a month.

If you're waiting and wailing for your approval, trust me, in the end, the wait is worth it. Canada is a good country.

A Streak of good luck to all TRV hopefuls.

You can apply for visa without paying a dime on the tuition but its always good to pay a deposit to show a bit of genuineness of your intensioñs to study.. The standard time for visa processing is 22weeks but not certain cos it fluantuates based on number of application received.

22 weeks Almost 6 months?? That is much oh. Secondly, you don’t understand my situation. I am aware I do not need to deposit fees to apply for visa, and I’m not planning to. My situation is that my school stated that I have to pay my fees by October 15 to secure my seat. The problem about that is my sponsor won’t pay the fees if my visa is still under processing. He will only pay if I have been given visa, and I’m just about to apply for the visa this month. What is the probability that I would have gotten a visa decision by October 15?

Thanks for the swift response. Kindly educate me on what I can hold onto as justification for submitting the study permit now now for a program starting in Sept 2021. Does RICC's temporary fast-track application processing for Fall 2020 also cover Fall 2021 programs? Any verifiable
reference will be appreciated. Thanks.

I said yes cos the current processing time for every application is 22weeks and also almost all applications is likely to be approvals cos canada is trying to make money after they have lost a lot during the pandemic, also the processing time might change either up or down considering the amount of application received and next year it will go up cos of post covid-19, also vaccine being available. If you apply now and let's say you get a positive decision by October ,your passport will be stamped from the date on your admission letter.
Or
you can wait till maybe january but IRCC might be stricter than they are now

In the below citation from CICNEWS, I will appreciate if you could help me clarify what it means. Does it mean that if I declare I have no family ties to Canada I am at disadvantaged? If I declare I have a family ties to Canada, does it mean it will strenghten my chances? Does this Canadian family ties replace Family ties to Home country which hitherto used as a proof that I will return to my home country after study? Kindly enlighten me, please.

How to obtain a study permit for fall 2020
The first stage is much like the regular study-permit process. International students have to submit:

1. letter of acceptance;
2. Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (for Quebec students only);
3. proof of funds;
4. proof that they can leave Canada when they no longer have legal temporary or permanent status; and
5. any family ties to Canada.

Is you son going to Quebec?

Bro, do upfront biko so you know all you have left is biometric. Your application is approved in principle, meaning you've meet the eligibility requirements, what you have left is background checks and medical.
Your background checks cannot be completed without your biometrics, for your eligibility to be finalized, your background checks needs to come in.

So in your eligibility review you have 4 questions left out of 12 questions. Your 4 questions are upon background checks and medical.

Question 9-12

9. Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offence?

10. Do you suffer from a serious medical condition?

11. Have you ever been refused a temporary resident visa to travel to Canada?

12. Were you ever removed from Canada or any other country?

Your approval is perfected. Amen

@MyRace

Sincerely, you have expressed my thoughts. I wish to share my testimony likewise that I submitted my application June 4th, received request for biometrics on a Saturday about two days after submission and later got a request for medicals on July 1st while still awaiting the VFS in Nigeria to give my biometrics.

Let us know that no two applications are the same just as our faces differ. The commonest thing I observed here is many people often kill themselves in fear of nothing that exist. I belong to the Winners family and certainly, I believed my application will be different and I will return again to share my final testimony.

Personally, I thank God for the journey so far and appreciate every contributors on this forum. I have learned so much and am indeed grateful. I will return soon before the end of the month to inform the house of my successful Visa application.

IT IS MY YEAR OF BREAKING LIMITS

Breaking Limit Greetings To Everyone

I have come to thank God for his wonders as well as appreciate everyone's contribution here that has assisted me in my application. I have come to testify of God's goodness who is too sure to fail.

My application was submitted June 5th, Received BIL June 6th, yet to give Biometrics due to VFS closure,
Medical request letter July 1st,
Medical done July 10th,
Medical passed July 14th,
Letter of approval to commence studies online (Approval-in-principle) August 6th.

Such as these testimonies are, so shall it be made perfect for every hopefuls too. Indeed I am a child of destiny.
