I personally, still enjoys the idea of having an option to extend my storage capacity to as much as 512GB.

That 128GB go still full... And almost all of us don't wanna experience the pains of storage issues ever again.

As for me, why I will need a memory card slot is cos of tweaking and flashing when you'll need the files to be in an external memory card.

All Xiaomi mid-range phones with the exception of the India RN5 Pro gets one android update installment. RN8 Pro won't be an exception.

Only Upper Mid-range/sub-flagship and flagship devices gets two android updates.

Also Mi 8 got Android 10 and it Launched with android 8, if it was a business strategy like you said it won't get past 9 so people can buy Mi 9 and Mi 10

Filling up that memory no easy o! Only if you shoot 4k videos only. To me Otg flash drives has made SD cards redundant.

My friend bought like that and applied for return that same day it was received, one wasn't working.

Since it wasn't launched in Nigeria it is preferable to buy from NL sellers here especially those that orders theirs directly

I use a 64gb phone currently with a 128gb card, everywhere done full.

When i eventually get that 128 note 9s, i'd definitely buckle a 256gb card on it. I love that flexibility on the go, not having to take my hard disk everywhere with me for the sakes of my most important files and media.
